സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 84

1 സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്കു; ഗത്ഥ്യരാഗത്തിൽ; കോരഹ് പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവേ, തിരുനിവാസം എത്ര മനോഹരം!

“To the chief musician upon Gittith, by the sons of Korach, a psalm.” How lovely are thy dwelling-places, O Lord of hosts!

2 എന്റെ ഉള്ളം യഹോവയുടെ പ്രാകാരങ്ങളെ വാഞ്ഛിച്ചു മോഹിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയവും എന്റെ മാംസവും ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തെ നോക്കി ഘോഷിക്കുന്നു.

My soul desired, yea, it also longed for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh shout with joy unto the living God.

3 കുരികിൽ ഒരു വീടും, മീവൽപക്ഷി കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾക്കു ഒരു കൂടും കണ്ടെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ രാജാവും എന്റെ ദൈവവുമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ യാഗപീഠങ്ങളെ തന്നേ.

Even as the sparrow hath found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young: —[have I found] thy altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.

4 നിന്റെ ആലയത്തിൽ വസിക്കുന്നവർ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ; അവർ നിന്നെ നിത്യം സ്തുതിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും. (സേലാ)

Happy are they who dwell in thy house: they will be continually praising thee. (Selah)

5 ബലം നിന്നിൽ ഉള്ള മനുഷ്യൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ; ഇങ്ങിനെയുള്ളവരുടെ മനസ്സിൽ സീയോനിലേക്കുള്ള പെരുവഴികൾ ഉണ്ടു.

Happy is the man whose strong confidence is in thee, [all] whose heart reflecteth on the paths [of righteousness].

6 കണ്ണുനീർ താഴ്‌വരയിൽകൂടി കടക്കുമ്പോൾ അവർ അതിനെ ജലാശയമാക്കിത്തീർക്കുന്നു. മുന്മഴയാൽ അതു അനുഗ്രഹപൂർണ്ണമായ്തീരുന്നു.

Passing through the valley of weeping, they will change it into a spring: also the early rain covereth it with blessings.

7 അവർ മേല്ക്കുമേൽ ബലം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു; എല്ലാവരും സീയോനിൽ ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ ചെന്നെത്തുന്നു.

They go from strength to strength, each of them appeareth before God in Zion.

8 സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കേൾക്കേണമേ; യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവമേ, ചെവിക്കൊള്ളേണമേ. (സേലാ)

O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. (Selah)

9 ഞങ്ങളുടെ പരിചയായ ദൈവമേ, നോക്കേണമേ; നിന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്റെ മുഖത്തെ കടാക്ഷിക്കേണമേ;

[Thou, ] our shield, behold, O God, and look upon the face of thy anointed.

10 നിന്റെ പ്രാകാരങ്ങളിൽ കഴിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ദിവസം വേറെ ആയിരം ദിവസത്തെക്കാൾ ഉത്തമമല്ലോ; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളിൽ പാർക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിൽ വാതിൽ കാവല്ക്കാരനായിരിക്കുന്നതു എനിക്കു ഏറെ ഇഷ്ടം.

For better is a day in thy courts than a thousand [elsewhere]: I would rather choose to wait at the threshold of the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

11 യഹോവയായ ദൈവം സൂര്യനും പരിചയും ആകുന്നു; യഹോവ കൃപയും മഹത്വവും നല്കുന്നു; നേരോടെ നടക്കുന്നവർക്കു അവൻ ഒരു നന്മയും മുടക്കുകയില്ല.

For a sun and shield is the Lord God; grace and glory will the Lord give; he will not withhold any good from those that walk with integrity.

12 സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവേ, നിന്നിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ.

O Lord of hosts, happy is the man that trusteth in thee.
