സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 55
1 സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്കു; തന്ത്രിനാദത്തോടെ ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ധ്യാനം. ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന ശ്രദ്ധിക്കേണമേ; എന്റെ യാചനെക്കു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കരുതേ.
For the end, amongst Hymns of instruction by David. Listen, O God, to my prayer; and disregard not my supplication.
2 എനിക്കു ചെവിതന്നു ഉത്തരമരുളേണമേ; ശത്രുവിന്റെ ആരവംനിമിത്തവും ദുഷ്ടന്റെ പീഡനിമിത്തവും ഞാൻ എന്റെ സങ്കടത്തിൽ പൊറുതിയില്ലാതെ ഞരങ്ങുന്നു.
Attend to me, and listen to me: I was grieved in my (meditation) and troubled;
3 അവർ എന്റെ മേൽ നീതികേടു ചുമത്തുന്നു; കോപത്തോടെ എന്നെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നു.
because of the voice of the enemy, and because of the oppression of the sinner: for they brought iniquity against me, and were wrathfully angry with me.
4 എന്റെ ഹൃദയം എന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ വേദനപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; മരണഭീതിയും എന്റെമേൽ വീണിരിക്കുന്നു.
My heart was troubled within me; and the fear of death fell upon me.
5 ഭയവും വിറയലും എന്നെ പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; പരിഭ്രമം എന്നെ മൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
Fear and trembling came upon me, and darkness covered me.
6 പ്രാവിന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ എനിക്കു ചിറകുണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ! എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ പറന്നുപോയി വിശ്രമിക്കുമായിരുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
And I said, O that I had wings as [those] of a dove! then would I flee away, and be at rest.
7 അതേ, ഞാൻ ദൂരത്തു സഞ്ചരിച്ചു, മരുഭൂമിയിൽ പാർക്കുമായിരുന്നു! (സേലാ)
Behold! I have fled afar off, and lodged in the wilderness. (Pause)
8 കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിൽനിന്നും പെരുങ്കാറ്റിൽനിന്നും ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു ഞാൻ ഒരു സങ്കേതത്തിലേക്കു ഓടിപ്പോകുമായിരുന്നു!
I waited for him that should deliver me from distress of spirit and tempest.
9 കർത്താവേ, സംഹരിച്ചു അവരുടെ നാവുകളെ ചീന്തിക്കളയേണമേ. ഞാൻ നഗരത്തിൽ അതിക്രമവും കലഹവും കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen iniquity and gain saying in the city.
10 രാവും പകലും അവർ അതിന്റെ മതിലുകളിന്മേൽ ചുറ്റി സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു; നീതികേടും കഷ്ടവും അതിന്റെ അകത്തുണ്ടു.
Day and night he shall go round about it upon its walls: iniquity and sorrow and unrighteousness [are] in the midst of it;
11 ദുഷ്ടത അതിന്റെ നടുവിൽ ഉണ്ടു; ചതിവും വഞ്ചനയും അതിന്റെ വീഥികളെ വിട്ടുമാറുന്നതുമില്ല.
and usury and craft have not failed from its streets.
12 എന്നെ നിന്ദിച്ചതു ഒരു ശത്രുവല്ല; അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ സഹിക്കുമായിരുന്നു; എന്റെ നേരെ വമ്പു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവനല്ല; അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ മറഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളുമായിരുന്നു.
For if an enemy had reproached me, I would have endured it; and if one who hated [me] had spoken vauntingly against me, I would have hid myself from him.
13 നീയോ എന്നോടു സമനായ മനുഷ്യനും എന്റെ സഖിയും എന്റെ പ്രാണസ്നേഹിതനുമായിരുന്നു.
But you, O man like minded, my guide, and my acquaintance,
14 നാം തമ്മിൽ മധുരസമ്പർക്കം ചെയ്തു പുരുഷാരവുമായി ദൈവാലയത്തിലേക്കു പോയല്ലോ.
who in companionship with me sweetened [our] food: we walked in the house of God in concord.
15 മരണം പെട്ടെന്നു അവരെ പിടിക്കട്ടെ; അവർ ജീവനോടെ പാതാളത്തിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങട്ടെ; ദുഷ്ടത അവരുടെ വാസസ്ഥലത്തും അവരുടെ ഉള്ളിലും ഉണ്ടു. (Sheol h7585)
Let death come upon them, and let them go down alive into Hades, for iniquity is in their dwellings, in the midst of them. (Sheol h7585)
16 ഞാനോ ദൈവത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും; യഹോവ എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കും.
I cried to God, and the Lord listened to me.
17 ഞാൻ വൈകുന്നേരത്തും കാലത്തും ഉച്ചെക്കും സങ്കടം ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു കരയും; അവൻ എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കേൾക്കും.
Evening, and morning, and at noon I will declare and make known [my wants]: and he shall hear my voice.
18 എന്നോടു കയർത്തുനിന്നവർ അനേകരായിരിക്കെ ആരും എന്നോടു അടുക്കാതവണ്ണം അവൻ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തു സമാധാനത്തിലാക്കി;
He shall deliver my soul in peace from them that draw near to me: for they were with me in many [cases].
19 ദൈവം കേട്ടു അവർക്കു ഉത്തരം അരുളും; പുരാതനമേ സിംഹാസനസ്ഥനായവൻ തന്നേ. (സേലാ) അവർക്കു മാനസാന്തരമില്ല; അവർ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല.
God shall hear, and bring them low, [even] he that has existed from eternity. (Pause) For they suffer no reverse, and [therefore] they have not feared God.
20 തന്നോടു സമാധാനമായിരിക്കുന്നവരെ കയ്യേറ്റം ചെയ്തു തന്റെ സഖ്യത അവൻ ലംഘിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.
He has reached forth his hand for retribution; they have profaned his covenant.
21 അവന്റെ വായ് വെണ്ണപോലെ മൃദുവായതു; ഹൃദയത്തിലോ യുദ്ധമത്രേ. അവന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ എണ്ണയെക്കാൾ മയമുള്ളവ; എങ്കിലും അവ ഊരിയ വാളുകൾ ആയിരുന്നു.
They were scattered at the anger of his countenance, and his heart drew near them. His words were smoother than oil, yet are they darts.
22 നിന്റെ ഭാരം യഹോവയുടെമേൽ വെച്ചുകൊൾക; അവൻ നിന്നെ പുലർത്തും; നീതിമാൻ കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകുവാൻ അവൻ ഒരുനാളും സമ്മതിക്കയില്ല.
Cast your care upon the Lord, and he shall sustain you; he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
23 ദൈവമേ, നീ അവരെ നാശത്തിന്റെ കുഴിയിലേക്കു ഇറക്കും; രക്തപ്രിയവും വഞ്ചനയും ഉള്ളവർ ആയുസ്സിന്റെ പകുതിയോളം ജീവിക്കയില്ല; ഞാനോ നിന്നിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കും.
But you, O God, shall bring them down to the pit of destruction; bloody and crafty men shall not live out half their days; but I will hope in you, O Lord.
