1 ആസാഫിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. ദൈവം, യഹോവയായ ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു, സൂര്യന്റെ ഉദയംമുതൽ അസ്തമയംവരെ ഭൂമിയെ വിളിക്കുന്നു.
A Psalm for Asaph. The God of gods, the Lord, has spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun to the going down [thereof].
2 സൗന്ദര്യത്തിന്റെ പൂർണ്ണതയായ സീയോനിൽനിന്നു ദൈവം പ്രകാശിക്കുന്നു.
Out of Sion [comes] the excellence of his beauty.
3 നമ്മുടെ ദൈവം വരുന്നു; മൗനമായിരിക്കയില്ല; അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ തീ ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ ചുറ്റും വലിയോരു കൊടുങ്കാറ്റടിക്കുന്നു.
God, our God, shall come manifestly, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall be kindled before him, and round about him there shall be a very great tempest.
4 തന്റെ ജനത്തെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ മേലിൽനിന്നു ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും വിളിക്കുന്നു.
He shall summon the heaven above, and the earth, that he may judge his people.
5 യാഗം കഴിച്ചു എന്നോടു നിയമം ചെയ്തവരായ എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൂട്ടുവിൻ.
Assemble you his saints to him, those that have engaged in a covenant with him upon sacrifices.
6 ദൈവം തന്നേ ന്യായാധിപതി ആയിരിക്കയാൽ ആകാശം അവന്റെ നീതിയെ ഘോഷിക്കും. (സേലാ)
And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge. (Pause)
7 എന്റെ ജനമേ, കേൾക്ക; ഞാൻ സംസാരിക്കും. യിസ്രായേലേ, ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു സാക്ഷീകരിക്കും: ദൈവമായ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ദൈവമാകുന്നു.
Hear, my people, and I will speak to you, O Israel: and I will testify to you: I am God, your God.
8 നിന്റെ ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ശാസിക്കുന്നില്ല; നിന്റെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങൾ എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
I will not reprove you on account of your sacrifices; for your whole burnt offerings are before me continually.
9 നിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു കാളയെയോ നിന്റെ തൊഴുത്തുകളിൽനിന്നു കോലാട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരെയോ ഞാൻ എടുക്കയില്ല.
I will take no bullocks out of your house, nor he-goats out of your flocks.
10 കാട്ടിലെ സകലമൃഗവും പർവ്വതങ്ങളിലെ ആയിരമായിരം ജന്തുക്കളും എനിക്കുള്ളവയാകുന്നു.
For all the wild beasts of the thicket are mine, the cattle on the mountains, and oxen.
11 മലകളിലെ പക്ഷികളെ ഒക്കെയും ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു; വയലിലെ ജന്തുക്കളും എനിക്കുള്ളവ തന്നേ.
I know all the birds of the sky; and the beauty of the field is mine.
12 എനിക്കു വിശന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറകയില്ല; ഭൂലോകവും അതിന്റെ നിറവും എന്റേതത്രേ.
If I should be hungry, I will not tell you: for the world is mine, and the fullness of it.
13 ഞാൻ കാളകളുടെ മാംസം തിന്നുമോ? കോലാട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരുടെ രക്തം കുടിക്കുമോ?
Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
14 ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രയാഗം അർപ്പിക്ക; അത്യുന്നതന്നു നിന്റെ നേർച്ചകളെ കഴിക്ക.
Offer to God the sacrifice of praise; and pay your vows to the Most High.
15 കഷ്ടകാലത്തു എന്നെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്ക; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വിടുവിക്കയും നീ എന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.
And call upon me in the day of affliction; and I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. (Pause)
16 എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടനോടു ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നീ എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ അറിയിപ്പാനും എന്റെ നിയമത്തെ നിന്റെ വായിൽ എടുപ്പാനും നിനക്കെന്തു കാര്യം?
But to the sinner God has said, Why do you declare my ordinances, and take up my covenant in your mouth?
17 നീ ശാസനയെ വെറുത്തു എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ നിന്റെ പുറകിൽ എറിഞ്ഞുകളയുന്നുവല്ലോ.
Whereas you have hated instruction, and have cast my words behind [you].
18 കള്ളനെ കണ്ടാൽ നീ അവന്നു അനുകൂലപ്പെടുന്നു; വ്യഭിചാരികളോടു നീ പങ്കു കൂടുന്നു.
If you saw a thief, you ran along with him, and have cast in your lot with adulterers.
19 നിന്റെ വായ് നീ ദോഷത്തിന്നു വിട്ടുകൊടുക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ നാവു വഞ്ചന പിണെക്കുന്നു.
Your mouth has multiplied wickedness, and your tongue has framed deceit.
20 നീ ഇരുന്നു നിന്റെ സഹോദരന്നു വിരോധമായി സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ മകനെക്കുറിച്ചു അപവാദം പറയുന്നു.
You did sit and speak against your brother, and did scandalize your mother's son.
21 ഇവ നീ ചെയ്തു ഞാൻ മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കയാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെപ്പോലെയുള്ളവനെന്നു നീ നിരൂപിച്ചു; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ശാസിച്ചു നിന്റെ കണ്ണിൻ മുമ്പിൽ അവയെ നിരത്തിവെക്കും.
These things you did, and I kept silence: you thought wickedly that I should be like you, [but] I will reprove you, and set [your offenses] before you.
22 ദൈവത്തെ മറക്കുന്നവരേ, ഇതു ഓർത്തുകൊൾവിൻ; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ കീറിക്കളയും; വിടുവിപ്പാൻ ആരുമുണ്ടാകയുമില്ല.
Now consider these things, you that forget God, lest he rend [you], and there is no deliverer.
23 സ്തോത്രമെന്ന യാഗം അർപ്പിക്കുന്നവൻ എന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു; തന്റെ നടപ്പിനെ ക്രമപ്പെടുത്തുന്നവന്നു ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ രക്ഷയെ കാണിക്കും.
The sacrifice of praise will glorify me: and that is the way wherein I will show to him the salvation of God.
