സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 47

1 സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്കു; കോരഹ് പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. സകലജാതികളുമായുള്ളോരേ, കൈകൊട്ടുവിൻ; ജയഘോഷത്തോടെ ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ ആർക്കുവിൻ.

You people all [over the world], clap your hands for joy! Shout joyfully to [praise] God!

2 അത്യുന്നതനായ യഹോവ ഭയങ്കരൻ; അവൻ സർവ്വഭൂമിക്കും മഹാരാജാവാകുന്നു.

Yahweh, who is much greater than any other god, is awesome; he is the king who rules over all the world!

3 അവൻ ജാതികളെ നമ്മുടെ കീഴിലും വംശങ്ങളെ നമ്മുടെ കാൽകീഴിലും ആക്കുന്നു.

He enabled us to defeat [the armies of] the people-groups [that lived in Canaan].

4 അവൻ നമുക്കു നമ്മുടെ അവകാശത്തെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു തന്നു; താൻ സ്നേഹിച്ച യാക്കോബിന്റെ ശ്ലാഘ്യഭൂമിയെ തന്നേ.

He chose for us this land where we now live; we Israeli people [MTY], whom he loves, are proud that we own this land.

5 ദൈവം ജയഘോഷത്തോടും യഹോവ കാഹളനാദത്തോടും കൂടെ ആരോഹണം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

God has gone up [into his temple]. The people shouted joyfully and blew trumpets as Yahweh went up.

6 ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തുതി പാടുവിൻ, സ്തുതി പാടുവിൻ; നമ്മുടെ രാജാവിന്നു സ്തുതി പാടുവിൻ, സ്തുതി പാടുവിൻ.

Sing songs to praise our God! Sing to praise him [DOU]! Sing to God, our king!

7 ദൈവം സർവ്വഭൂമിക്കും രാജാവാകുന്നു; ഒരു ചാതുര്യകീർത്തനം പാടുവിൻ.

God is the one who rules over everything in the world; sing a psalm to him!

8 ദൈവം ജാതികളെ ഭരിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവം തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധസിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

God sits on his sacred throne as he rules over the people of [all] ethnic groups.

9 വംശങ്ങളുടെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ അബ്രാഹാമിൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ജനമായി ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടുന്നു; ഭൂമിയിലെ പരിചകൾ ദൈവത്തിന്നുള്ളവയല്ലോ; അവൻ ഏറ്റവും ഉന്നതനായിരിക്കുന്നു.

The rulers of those people-groups gather as God’s people, the people [descended] from Abraham, [do]. But God has more power than the weapons/shields [of all the kings] on the earth; (he is greatly honored/people honor him) everywhere.
