സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 38
1 ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ജ്ഞാപകസങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവേ, ക്രോധത്തോടെ എന്നെ ശിക്ഷിക്കരുതേ. ഉഗ്രനീരസത്തോടെ എന്നെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കയുമരുതേ.
A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance. O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2 നിന്റെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ എന്നിൽ തറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ കൈ എന്റെമേൽ ഭാരമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.
3 നിന്റെ നീരസം ഹേതുവായി എന്റെ ദേഹത്തിൽ സൗഖ്യമില്ല; എന്റെ പാപം ഹേതുവായി എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളിൽ സ്വസ്ഥതയുമില്ല.
[There is] no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither [is there any] rest in my bones because of my sin.
4 എന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾ എന്റെ തലെക്കുമീതെ കവിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭാരമുള്ള ചുമടുപോലെ അവ എനിക്കു അതിഘനമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
5 എന്റെ ഭോഷത്വംഹേതുവായി എന്റെ വ്രണങ്ങൾ ചീഞ്ഞുനാറുന്നു.
My wounds stink [and] are corrupt because of my foolishness.
6 ഞാൻ കുനിഞ്ഞു ഏറ്റവും കൂനിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ ദുഃഖിച്ചുനടക്കുന്നു.
I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
7 എന്റെ അരയിൽ വരൾച നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദേഹത്തിൽ സൗഖ്യമില്ല.
For my loins are filled with a loathsome [disease: ] and [there is] no soundness in my flesh.
8 ഞാൻ ക്ഷീണിച്ചു അത്യന്തം തകർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ഞരക്കംനിമിത്തം ഞാൻ അലറുന്നു.
I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.
9 കർത്താവേ, എന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ ഞരക്കം നിനക്കു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
Lord, all my desire [is] before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.
10 എന്റെ നെഞ്ചിടിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ വശംകെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്റെ വെളിച്ചവും എനിക്കില്ലാതെയായി.
My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.
11 എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാരും കൂട്ടുകാരും എന്റെ ബാധ കണ്ടു മാറിനില്ക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ചാർച്ചക്കാരും അകന്നുനില്ക്കുന്നു.
My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
12 എനിക്കു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവർ കണിവെക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കു അനർത്ഥം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവർ വേണ്ടാതനം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ഇടവിടാതെ ചതിവു ചിന്തിക്കുന്നു.
They also that seek after my life lay snares [for me: ] and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.
13 എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ ചെകിടനെപ്പോലെ കേൾക്കാതെ ഇരുന്നു; വായ്തുറക്കാതെ ഊമനെപ്പോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.
But I, as a deaf [man], heard not; and [I was] as a dumb man [that] openeth not his mouth.
14 ഞാൻ, കേൾക്കാത്ത മനുഷ്യനെപ്പോലെയും വായിൽ പ്രതിവാദമില്ലാത്തവനെപ്പോലെയും ആയിരുന്നു.
Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth [are] no reproofs.
15 യഹോവേ, നിങ്കൽ ഞാൻ പ്രത്യാശ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദൈവമായ കർത്താവേ, നീ ഉത്തരം അരുളും.
For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.
16 അവർ എന്നെച്ചൊല്ലി സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ കാൽ വഴുതുമ്പോൾ അവർ എന്റെ നേരെ വമ്പു പറയുമല്ലോ.
For I said, [Hear me], lest [otherwise] they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify [themselves] against me.
17 ഞാൻ ഇടറി വീഴുമാറായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദുഃഖം എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
For I [am] ready to halt, and my sorrow [is] continually before me.
18 ഞാൻ എന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തെ ഏറ്റുപറയുന്നു; എന്റെ പാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു.
For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.
19 എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളോ ജീവനും ബലവുമുള്ളവർ, എന്നെ വെറുതെ പകെക്കുന്നവർ പെരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
But mine enemies [are] lively, [and] they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.
20 ഞാൻ നന്മ പിന്തുടരുകയാൽ അവർ എനിക്കു വിരോധികളായി നന്മെക്കു പകരം തിന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നു.
They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow [the thing that] good [is].
21 യഹോവേ, എന്നെ കൈവിടരുതേ; എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്നോടകന്നിരിക്കരുതേ.
Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me.
22 എന്റെ രക്ഷയാകുന്ന കർത്താവേ, എന്റെ സഹായത്തിന്നു വേഗം വരേണമേ.
Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.
