സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 37
1 ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരുടെ നിമിത്തം നീ മുഷിയരുതു; നീതികേടു ചെയ്യുന്നവരോടു അസൂയപ്പെടുകയുമരുതു.
[A Psalm] of David. Fret not yourself because of evil-doers, neither be envious of them that do iniquity.
2 അവർ പുല്ലുപോലെ വേഗത്തിൽ ഉണങ്ങി പച്ചച്ചെടിപോലെ വാടിപ്പോകുന്നു.
For they shall soon be withered as the grass, and shall soon fall away as the green herbs.
3 യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിച്ചു നന്മചെയ്ക; ദേശത്തു പാർത്തു വിശ്വസ്തത ആചരിക്ക. യഹോവയിൽ തന്നേ രസിച്ചുകൊൾക;
Hope in the Lord, and do good; and dwell on the land, and you shall be fed with the wealth of it.
4 അവൻ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ആഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നിനക്കു തരും.
Delight [yourself] in the Lord; and he shall grant you the requests of your heart.
5 നിന്റെ വഴി യഹോവയെ ഭരമേല്പിക്ക; അവനിൽ തന്നേ ആശ്രയിക്ക; അവൻ അതു നിർവ്വഹിക്കും.
Disclose your way to the Lord, and hope in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass.
6 അവൻ നിന്റെ നീതിയെ പ്രഭാതം പോലെയും നിന്റെ ന്യായത്തെ മദ്ധ്യാഹ്നംപോലെയും പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കും.
And he shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your judgment as the noon-day.
7 യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ മിണ്ടാതെയിരുന്നു അവന്നായി പ്രത്യാശിക്ക; കാര്യസാധ്യം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നവനെയും ദുരുപായം പ്രയോഗിക്കുന്നവനെയും കുറിച്ചു നീ മുഷിയരുതു.
Submit yourself to the Lord, and supplicate him: fret not yourself because of him that prospers in his way, at the man that does unlawful deeds.
8 കോപം കളഞ്ഞു ക്രോധം ഉപേക്ഷിക്ക; മുഷിഞ്ഞുപോകരുതു; അതു ദോഷത്തിന്നു ഹേതുവാകേയുള്ളു.
ease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not yourself so as to do evil.
9 ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാർ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും; യഹോവയെ പ്രത്യാശിക്കുന്നവരോ ഭൂമിയെ കൈവശമാക്കും.
For evil-doers shall be destroyed: but they that wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the land.
10 കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ദുഷ്ടൻ ഇല്ല; നീ അവന്റെ ഇടം സൂക്ഷിച്ചുനോക്കും; അവനെ കാണുകയില്ല.
And yet a little while, and the sinner shall not be, and you shall seek for his place, and shall not find [it].
11 എന്നാൽ സൗമ്യതയുള്ളവർ ഭൂമിയെ കൈവശമാക്കും; സമാധാനസമൃദ്ധിയിൽ അവർ ആനന്ദിക്കും.
But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight [themselves] in the abundance of peace.
12 ദുഷ്ടൻ നീതിമാന്നു ദോഷം നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നേരെ അവൻ പല്ലു കടിക്കുന്നു.
The sinner will watch for the righteous, and gnash his teeth upon him.
13 കർത്താവു അവനെ നോക്കി ചിരിക്കും; അവന്റെ ദിവസം വരുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ കാണുന്നു.
But the Lord shall laugh at him: for he foresees that his day will come.
14 എളിയവനെയും ദരിദ്രനെയും വീഴിപ്പാനും സന്മാർഗ്ഗികളെ കൊല്ലുവാനും ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ വാളൂരി വില്ലു കുലെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
Sinners have drawn their swords, they have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy one, [and] to kill the upright in heart.
15 അവരുടെ വാൾ അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ തന്നേ കടക്കും; അവരുടെ വില്ലുകൾ ഒടിഞ്ഞുപോകും.
Let their sword enter into their [own] heart, and their bows be broken.
16 അനേകദുഷ്ടന്മാർക്കുള്ള സമൃദ്ധിയെക്കാൾ നീതിമാന്നുള്ള അല്പം ഏറ്റവും നല്ലതു.
A little is better to the righteous than abundant wealth of sinners.
17 ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ഭുജങ്ങൾ ഒടിഞ്ഞുപോകും; എന്നാൽ നീതിമാന്മാരെ യഹോവ താങ്ങും.
For the arms of sinners shall be broken; but the Lord supports the righteous.
18 യഹോവ നിഷ്കളങ്കന്മാരുടെ നാളുകളെ അറിയുന്നു; അവരുടെ അവകാശം ശാശ്വതമായിരിക്കും.
The Lord knows the ways of the perfect; and their inheritance shall be for ever.
19 ദുഷ്കാലത്തു അവർ ലജ്ജിച്ചു പോകയില്ല; ക്ഷാമകാലത്തു അവർ തൃപ്തരായിരിക്കും.
They shall not be ashamed in an evil time; and in days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20 എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ നശിച്ചുപോകും; യഹോവയുടെ ശത്രുക്കൾ പുല്പുറത്തിന്റെ ഭംഗിപോലേയുള്ളു; അവർ ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും; പുകപോലെ ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും.
For the sinners shall perish; and the enemies of the Lord at the moment of their being honored and exalted have utterly vanished like smoke.
21 ദുഷ്ടൻ വായ്പ വാങ്ങുന്നു, തിരികെ കൊടുക്കുന്നില്ല; നീതിമാനോ കൃപാലുവായി ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
The sinner borrows, and will not pay again: but the righteous has compassion, and gives.
22 അവനാൽ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ ഭൂമിയെ കൈവശമാക്കും. അവനാൽ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.
For they that bless him shall inherit the earth; and they that curse him shall be utterly destroyed.
23 ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ വഴിയിൽ പ്രസാദം തോന്നിയാൽ യഹോവ അവന്റെ ഗമനം സ്ഥിരമാക്കുന്നു.
The steps of a man are rightly ordered by the Lord: and he will take pleasure in his way.
24 അവൻ വീണാലും നിലംപരിചാകയില്ല; യഹോവ അവനെ കൈ പിടിച്ചു താങ്ങുന്നു.
When he falls, he shall not be ruined: for the Lord supports his hand.
25 ഞാൻ ബാലനായിരുന്നു, വൃദ്ധനായിത്തീർന്നു; നീതിമാൻ തുണയില്ലാതിരിക്കുന്നതും അവന്റെ സന്തതി ആഹാരം ഇരക്കുന്നതും ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.
I was [once] young, indeed I am now old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed seeking bread.
26 അവൻ നിത്യം കൃപാലുവായി വായ്പ കൊടുക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ സന്തതി അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
He is merciful, and lends continually; and his seed shall be blessed.
27 ദോഷം വിട്ടൊഴിഞ്ഞു ഗുണം ചെയ്ക; എന്നാൽ നീ സദാകാലം സുഖമായി വസിക്കും.
Turn aside from evil, and do good; and dwell for ever.
28 യഹോവ ന്യായപ്രിയനാകുന്നു; തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല; അവർ എന്നേക്കും പരിപാലിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സന്തതിയോ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.
For the Lord loves judgment, and will not forsake his saints; they shall be preserved for ever: the blameless shall be avenged, but the seed of the ungodly shall be utterly destroyed.
29 നീതിമാന്മാർ ഭൂമിയെ അവകാശമാക്കി എന്നേക്കും അതിൽ വസിക്കും;
But the righteous shall inherit the earth, and dwell upon it for ever.
30 നീതിമാന്റെ വായ് ജ്ഞാനം പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നാവു ന്യായം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.
The mouth of the righteous will meditate wisdom, and his tongue will speak of judgment.
31 തന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അവന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടു; അവന്റെ കാലടികൾ വഴുതുകയില്ല.
The law of his God is in his heart; and his steps shall not slide.
32 ദുഷ്ടൻ നീതിമാന്നായി പതിയിരുന്നു, അവനെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നു.
The sinner watches the righteous, and seeks to kill him.
33 യഹോവ അവനെ അവന്റെ കയ്യിൽ വിട്ടുകൊടുക്കയില്ല; ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തിൽ അവനെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കയുമില്ല.
But the Lord will not leave him in his hands, nor by any means condemn him when he is judged.
34 യഹോവെക്കായി പ്രത്യാശിച്ചു അവന്റെ വഴി പ്രമാണിച്ചുനടക്ക; എന്നാൽ ഭൂമിയെ അവകാശമാക്കുവാൻ അവൻ നിന്നെ ഉയർത്തും; ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതു നീ കാണും.
Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt you to inherit the land: when the wicked are destroyed, you shall see [it].
35 ദുഷ്ടൻ പ്രബലനായിരിക്കുന്നതും; സ്വദേശികമായ പച്ചവൃക്ഷംപോലെ തഴെക്കുന്നതും ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു.
I saw the ungodly very highly exalting himself, and lifting himself up like the cedars of Libanus.
36 ഞാൻ പിന്നെ അതിലെ പോയപ്പോൾ അവൻ ഇല്ല; ഞാൻ അന്വേഷിച്ചു, അവനെ കണ്ടതുമില്ല.
Yet I passed by, and behold! he was not: and I sought him, but his place was not found.
37 നിഷ്കളങ്കനെ കുറിക്കൊള്ളുക; നേരുള്ളവനെ നോക്കിക്കൊൾക; സമാധാനപുരുഷന്നു സന്തതി ഉണ്ടാകും.
Maintain innocence, and behold uprightness: for there is a remnant to the peaceful man.
38 എന്നാൽ അതിക്രമക്കാർ ഒരുപോലെ മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സന്താനം ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.
But the transgressors shall be utterly destroyed together: the remnants of the ungodly shall be utterly destroyed.
39 നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ രക്ഷ യഹോവയിങ്കൽനിന്നു വരുന്നു; കഷ്ടകാലത്തു അവൻ അവരുടെ ദുർഗ്ഗം ആകുന്നു.
But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord; and he is their defender in the time of affliction.
40 യഹോവ അവരെ സഹായിച്ചു വിടുവിക്കുന്നു; അവർ അവനിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവൻ അവരെ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: and he shall rescue them from sinners, and save them, because they have hoped in him.
