ലൂക്കോസ് 7
1 ജനം കേൾക്കെ തന്റെ വചനം ഒക്കെയും പറഞ്ഞുതീർന്ന ശേഷം അവൻ കഫർന്നഹൂമിൽ ചെന്നു.
When he had ended all his sainges in the audience of the people he entred into Capernau
2 അവിടെ ഒരു ശതാധിപന്നു പ്രിയനായ ദാസൻ ദീനം പിടിച്ചു മരിപ്പാറായിരുന്നു.
And a certayne Centurions seruaunte was sicke and redy to dye whom he made moche of.
3 അവൻ യേശുവിന്റെ വസ്തുത കേട്ടിട്ടു അവൻ വന്നു തന്റെ ദാസനെ രക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടിതിന്നു അവനോടു അപേക്ഷിപ്പാൻ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ മൂപ്പന്മാരെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു.
And when he hearde of Iesu he sent vnto him the elders of the Iewes besechinge him yt he wolde come and heale his servaunt.
4 അവർ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു അവനോടു താല്പര്യമായി അപേക്ഷിച്ചു: നീ അതു ചെയ്തുകൊടുപ്പാൻ അവൻ യോഗ്യൻ;
And they came to Iesus and besought him instantly sayinge: He is worthi that thou shuldest do this for him.
5 അവൻ നമ്മുടെ ജനത്തെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു; ഞങ്ങൾക്കു ഒരു പള്ളിയും തീർപ്പിച്ചുതന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
For he loveth oure nacion and hath bilt vs a sinagoge
6 യേശു അവരോടുകൂടെ പോയി, വീട്ടിനോടു അടുപ്പാറായപ്പോൾ ശതാധിപൻ സ്നേഹിതന്മാരെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു: കർത്താവേ, പ്രയാസപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നീ എന്റെ പുരെക്കകത്തു വരുവാൻ ഞാൻ പോരാത്തവൻ.
And Iesus went with them. And when he was not farre fro the housse the Centurio sent frendes to him sayinge vnto him: Lorde trouble not thy silfe: for I am not worthy yt thou shuldest enter vnder my roffe.
7 അതുകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുവാൻ ഞാൻ യോഗ്യൻ എന്നു എനിക്കു തോന്നിട്ടില്ല. ഒരു വാക്കു കല്പിച്ചാൽ എന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാരന്നു സൗഖ്യംവരും.
Wherfore I thought not my silfe worthy to come vnto the: but saye the worde and my servaunt shalbe whoole.
8 ഞാനും അധികാരത്തിന്നു കീഴ്പെട്ട മനുഷ്യൻ; എന്റെ കീഴിൽ പടയാളികൾ ഉണ്ടു; ഒരുവനോടു പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ അവൻ പോകുന്നു; മറ്റൊരുവനോടു വരിക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ അവൻ വരുന്നു; എന്റെ ദാസനോടു: ഇതു ചെയ്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ അവൻ ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.
For I lyke wyse am a man vnder power and have vnder me soudiers and I saye vnto won goo: and he goeth. And to another come: and he cometh. And to my servaunt do this: and he doeth it.
9 യേശു അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു അവങ്കൽ ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കി, അനുഗമിക്കുന്ന കൂട്ടത്തോടു: യിസ്രായേലിൽകൂടെ ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള വിശ്വാസം ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു;
When Iesus herde this he merveyled at him and turned him about and sayd to the people that folowed him: I saye vnto you I have not founde so greate faith noo not in Israel.
10 ശതാധിപൻ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചിരുന്നവർ വീട്ടിൽ മടങ്ങി വന്നപ്പോൾ ദാസനെ സൗഖ്യത്തോടെ കണ്ടു.
And they yt were sent turned backe home agayne and founde the servaunt that was sicke whoole.
11 പിറ്റെന്നാൾ അവൻ നയിൻ എന്ന പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു പോകുമ്പോൾ അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരും വളരെ പുരുഷാരവും കൂടെ പോയി.
And it fortuned after that that he went into a cite called Naim and many of his disciples went wt him and moche people.
12 അവൻ പട്ടണത്തിന്റെ വാതിലോടു അടുത്തപ്പോൾ മരിച്ചുപോയ ഒരുത്തനെ പുറത്തുകൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു; അവൻ അമ്മക്കു ഏകജാതനായ മകൻ; അവളോ വിധവ ആയിരുന്നു. പട്ടണത്തിലെ ഒരു വലിയ പുരുഷാരവും അവളോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
When he came nye to the gate of the cite: beholde ther was a deed man caried out which was ye only sonne of his mother and she was a widowe and moche people of the cite was with her.
13 അവളെ കണ്ടിട്ടു കർത്താവു മനസ്സലിഞ്ഞു അവളോടു: കരയേണ്ടാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവൻ അടുത്തുചെന്നു മഞ്ചം തൊട്ടു ചുമക്കുന്നവർ നിന്നു.
And when ye lorde sawe her he had compassion on her and sayde vnto her: wepe not.
14 ബാല്യക്കാരാ, എഴുന്നേല്ക്ക എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
And he went and touched the coffyn and they yt bare him stode still. And he sayde: Yonge man I saye vnto the aryse.
15 മരിച്ചവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഇരുന്നു സംസാരിപ്പാൻ തുടങ്ങി; അവൻ അവനെ അമ്മെക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.
And ye deed sate vp and beganne to speake. And he delyvered him to his mother.
16 എല്ലാവർക്കും ഭയംപിടിച്ചു: ഒരു വലിയ പ്രവാചകൻ നമ്മുടെ ഇടയിൽ എഴുന്നേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവം തന്റെ ജനത്തെ സന്ദർശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വീകരിച്ചു.
And ther ca a feare on the all. And they glorified god sayinge: a greate prophet is rysen amoge vs and god hath visited his people
17 അവനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഈ ശ്രുതി യെഹൂദ്യയിൽ ഒക്കെയും ചുറ്റുമുള്ള നാടെങ്ങും പരന്നു.
And this rumor of him wet forthe throughout all Iurie and thorowout all the regions which lye rounde about.
18 ഇതു ഒക്കെയും യോഹന്നാന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനോടു അറിയിച്ചു.
And ye disciples of Iohn shewed him of all these thinges.
19 എന്നാറെ യോഹന്നാൻ തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ രണ്ടുപേരെ വിളിച്ചു, കർത്താവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു: വരുവാനുള്ളവൻ നീയോ? അല്ല, ഞങ്ങൾ മറ്റൊരുത്തനെ കാത്തിരിക്കേണമോ എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.
And Iohn called vnto him. ii. of his disciples and sent the to Iesus sayinge: Arte thou he that shall come: or shall we loke for another?
20 ആ പുരുഷന്മാർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: വരുവാനുള്ളവൻ നീയോ? അല്ല, ഞങ്ങൾ മറ്റൊരുത്തനെ കാത്തിരിക്കേണമോ എന്നു ചോദിപ്പാൻ യോഹന്നാൻസ്നാപകൻ ഞങ്ങളെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
When the men were come vnto him they sayde: Iohn baptiste sent vs vnto ye sayinge: Arte thou he that shall come: or shall we wayte for another?
21 ആ നാഴികയിൽ അവൻ വ്യാധികളും ദണ്ഡങ്ങളും ദുരാത്മാക്കളും പിടിച്ച പലരെയും സൗഖ്യമാക്കുകയും പല കുരുടന്മാർക്കു കാഴ്ച നല്കുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടു അവരോടു:
And at yt same tyme he cured many of their infirmites and plages and of evyll spretes and vnto many that were blynde he gave sight
22 കുരുടർ കാണുന്നു; മുടന്തർ നടക്കുന്നു; കുഷ്ഠരോഗികൾ ശുദ്ധരായിത്തീരുന്നു; ചെകിടർ കേൾക്കുന്നു; മരിച്ചവർ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നു; ദിരദ്രന്മാരോടു സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾ കാണുകയും കേൾക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു യോഹന്നാനെ ചെന്നു അറിയിപ്പിൻ.
And Iesus answered and sayd vnto them: Goo youre wayes and shewe Iohn what thinges ye have sene and harde: how yt the blynde se the halt goo the lepers are clensed the deafe heare the deed aryse to the poore is the glad tydinges preached
23 എന്നാൽ എങ്കൽ ഇടറിപ്പോകാത്തവൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
and happy is he that is not offended by me.
24 യോഹന്നാന്റെ ദൂതന്മാർ പോയശേഷം അവൻ പുരുഷാരത്തോടു യോഹന്നാനെക്കുറിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു തുടങ്ങിയതു: നിങ്ങൾ എന്തു കാണ്മാൻ മരുഭൂമിയിലേക്കു പോയി? കാറ്റിനാൽ ഉലയുന്ന ഓടയോ?
When ye messengers of Iohn were departed he began to speake vnto ye people of Iohn What wet ye oute into ye wildernes for to se? went ye to se arede shaken wt ye wynde?
25 അല്ല, എന്തു കാണ്മാൻ പോയി? മാർദ്ദവവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച മനുഷ്യനെയോ? മോടിയുള്ള വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു സുഖഭോഗികളായി നടക്കുന്നവർ രാജധാനികളിൽ അത്രേ.
But what went ye out for tose? A ma clothed in soofte rayment? Beholde they which are gorgeously apparelled and lyve delicatly are in kynges courtes.
26 അല്ല, എന്തു കാണ്മാൻ പോയി? ഒരു പ്രവാചകനെയൊ? അതേ, പ്രവാചകനിലും മികച്ചവനെ തന്നേ എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു:
But what went ye forth to se? A prophete? Ye I saye to you and moare then a prophete
27 “ഞാൻ എന്റെ ദൂതനെ നിനക്കു മുമ്പായി അയക്കുന്നു; അവൻ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിനക്കു വഴി ഒരുക്കും” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു അവനെക്കുറിച്ചാകുന്നു.
This is he of who it is wrytte: Beholde I sende my messenger before thy face to prepare thy waye before the.
28 സ്ത്രീകളിൽ നിന്നു ജനിച്ചവരിൽ യോഹന്നാനെക്കാൾ വലിയവൻ ആരുമില്ല; ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും ചെറിയവനോ അവനിലും വലിയവൻ എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.‒
For I saye vnto you: a greater prophete then Iohn amoge wemes chyldre is ther none. Neverthelesse one yt is lesse in ye kyngdo of god is greater the he
29 എന്നാൽ ജനം ഒക്കെയും ചുങ്കക്കാരും കേട്ടിട്ടു യോഹന്നാന്റെ സ്നാനം ഏറ്റതിനാൽ ദൈവത്തെ നീതീകരിച്ചു.
And all the people that hearde and the publicans iustified God and were baptised with the baptim of Iohn.
30 എങ്കിലും പരീശന്മാരും ന്യായശാസ്ത്രിമാരും അവനാൽ സ്നാനം ഏല്ക്കാതെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലോചന തങ്ങൾക്കു വൃഥാവാക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു. ‒-
But the pharises and scribes despised ye counsell of god agaynst them selves and were not baptised of him.
31 ഈ തലമുറയിലെ മനുഷ്യരെ ഏതിനോടു ഉപമിക്കേണ്ടു? അവർ ഏതിനോടു തുല്യം?
And ye lorde sayd: Wher vnto shall I lyke the men of this generacion and what thinge are they lyke?
32 ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങൾക്കായി കുഴലൂതി, നിങ്ങൾ നൃത്തം ചെയ്തില്ല; ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങൾക്കായി വിലാപം പാടി, നിങ്ങൾ കരഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു ചന്തസ്ഥലത്തു ഇരുന്നു അന്യോന്യം വിളിച്ചു പറയുന്ന കുട്ടികളോടു അവർ തുല്യർ.
They are lyke vnto chyldre sittynge in ye market place and cryinge one to another and sayinge: We have pyped vnto you and ye hahave not daunsed: we have mourned to you and ye have not wept.
33 യോഹന്നാൻസ്നാപകൻ അപ്പം തിന്നാതെയും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കാതെയും വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്നു ഭൂതം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നു.
For Iohn baptist cam nether eatynge breed ner drinkynge wyne and ye saye: he hath the devyll.
34 മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ തിന്നും കുടിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; തിന്നിയും കുടിയനും ആയ മനുഷ്യൻ; ചുങ്കക്കാരുടെയും പാപികളുടെയും സ്നേഹിതൻ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നു.
The sonne of man is come and eateth and drinketh and ye saye: beholde a man which is a glotton and a drinker of wyne a frende of publicans and synners.
35 ജ്ഞാനമോ തന്റെ എല്ലാ മക്കളാലും നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
Yet is wysdome iustified of all her chyldren.
36 പരീശന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ തന്നോടുകൂടെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിപ്പാൻ അവനെ ക്ഷണിച്ചു; അവൻ പരീശന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്നു ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നിരുന്നു.
And one of the pharises desyred him that he wolde eate with him. And he went into ye pharises housse and sate doune to meate.
37 ആ പട്ടണത്തിൽ പാപിയായ ഒരു സ്ത്രീ, അവൻ പരീശന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു അറിഞ്ഞു ഒരു വെൺകൽഭരണി പരിമളതൈലം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു,
And beholde a woman in that cite which was a synner assone as she knewe that. Iesus sate at meate in the pharises housse she brought an alablaster boxe of oyntmet
38 പുറകിൽ അവന്റെ കാല്ക്കൽ കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു നിന്നു കണ്ണുനീർകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ കാൽ നനെച്ചുതുടങ്ങി; തലമുടികൊണ്ടു തുടെച്ചു കാൽ ചുംബിച്ചു തൈലം പൂശി.
and she stode at his fete behynde him wepynge and beganne to wesshe his fete with teares and dyd wipe the with the heares of her heed and kyssed his fete and anoynted them with oyntment.
39 അവനെ ക്ഷണിച്ച പരീശൻ അതു കണ്ടിട്ടു: ഇവൻ പ്രവാചകൻ ആയിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ, തന്നെ തൊടുന്ന സ്ത്രീ ആരെന്നും എങ്ങനെയുള്ളവൾ എന്നും അറിയുമായിരുന്നു; അവൾ പാപിയല്ലോ എന്നു ഉള്ളിൽ പറഞ്ഞു
When the pharise which bade him sawe that he spake with in him sylfe sayinge: If this man were a prophete he wolde surely have knowen who and what maner woman this is which toucheth him for she is a synner.
40 ശിമോനേ, നിന്നോടു ഒന്നു പറവാനുണ്ടു എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു: ഗുരോ, പറഞ്ഞാലും എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
And Iesus answered and sayde vnto him: Simon I have some what to saye vnto ye. And he sayd master saye on.
41 കടം കൊടുക്കുന്ന ഒരുത്തന്നു രണ്ടു കടക്കാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഒരുത്തൻ അഞ്ഞൂറു വെള്ളിക്കാശും മറ്റവൻ അമ്പതു വെള്ളിക്കാശും കൊടുപ്പാനുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
There was a certayne lender which had two detters ye one ought five hondred pence and the other fyfty.
42 വീട്ടുവാൻ അവർക്കു വക ഇല്ലായ്കയാൽ അവൻ ഇരുവർക്കും ഇളെച്ചുകൊടുത്തു; എന്നാൽ അവരിൽ ആർ അവനെ അധികം സ്നേഹിക്കും?
When they had nothinge to paye he forgave the boothe. Which of them tell me will love him moost?
43 അധികം ഇളെച്ചുകിട്ടിയവൻ എന്നു ഞാൻ ഊഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ശിമോൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അവനോടു: നീ വിധിച്ചതു ശരി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Simon answered and sayde: I suppose that he to whom he forgave moost. And he sayde vnto him: Thou hast truly iudged.
44 സ്ത്രീയുടെ നേരെ തരിഞ്ഞു ശിമോനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഈ സ്ത്രീയെ കാണുന്നുവോ? ഞാൻ നിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ വന്നു, നീ എന്റെ കാലിന്നു വെള്ളം തന്നില്ല; ഇവളോ കണ്ണുനീർകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ കാൽ നനെച്ചു തലമുടികൊണ്ടു തുടെച്ചു.
And he turned to the woman and sayde vnto Simon: Seist thou this woman? I entred into thy housse and thou gavest me noo water to my fete but she hath wesshed my fete with teares and wiped the with the heeres of her heed.
45 നീ എനിക്കു ചുംബനം തന്നില്ല; ഇവളോ ഞാൻ അകത്തു വന്നതു മുതൽ ഇടവിടാതെ എന്റെ കാൽ ചുംബിച്ചു.
Thou gavest me no kysse: but she sence ye tyme I came in hath not ceased to kysse my fete
46 നീ എന്റെ തലയിൽ തൈലം പൂശിയില്ല; ഇവളോ പരിമള തൈലംകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ കാൽ പൂശി.
Myne heed wt oyle thou dydest not anoynte: but she hath annoynted my fete wt oyntmet.
47 ആകയാൽ ഇവളുടെ അനേകമായ പാപങ്ങൾ മോചിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു; അവൾ വളരെ സ്നേഹിച്ചുവല്ലോ; അല്പം മോചിച്ചുകിട്ടിയവൻ അല്പം സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.
Wherefore I saye vnto the: many synnes are forgeve her for she loved moche. To whom lesse is forgeven the same doeth lesse love.
48 പിന്നെ അവൻ അവളോടു: നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങൾ മോചിച്ചു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And he sayde vnto her thy synnes are forgeven ye
49 അവനോടു കൂടെ പന്തിയിൽ ഇരുന്നവർ: പാപമോചനവും കൊടുക്കുന്ന ഇവൻ ആർ എന്നു തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞുതുടങ്ങി.
And they yt sate at meate with him beganne to saye within them selves: Who is this which forgeveth synnes also?
50 അവനോ സ്ത്രീയോടു: നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം നിന്നെ രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; സമാധാനത്തോടെ പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And he sayde to ye woman: Thy faith hath saved the Goo in peace.
