യോശുവ 2
1 അനന്തരം നൂന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവ രഹസ്യമായി ഒറ്റുനോക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ശിത്തീമിൽനിന്നു രണ്ടുപേരെ അയച്ചു: നിങ്ങൾ പോയി ദേശവും യെരീഹോപട്ടണവും നോക്കിവരുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവർ പുറപ്പെട്ടു രാഹാബ് എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു വേശ്യയുടെ വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്നു അവിടെ പാർത്തു.

10 നിങ്ങൾ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുവരുമ്പോൾ യഹോവ നിങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടി ചെങ്കടലിലെ വെള്ളം വറ്റിച്ചതും യോർദ്ദാന്നക്കരെവെച്ചു നിങ്ങൾ നിർമ്മൂലമാക്കിയ സീഹോൻ, ഓഗ് എന്ന രണ്ടു അമോര്യരാജാക്കന്മാരോടു ചെയ്തതും ഞങ്ങൾ കേട്ടു.

11 കേട്ടപ്പോൾ തന്നേ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം ഉരുകി; നിങ്ങളുടെ നിമിത്തം എല്ലാവർക്കും ധൈര്യം കെട്ടുപോയി; നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്നേ മീതെ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും താഴെ ഭൂമിയിലും ദൈവം ആകുന്നു.

12 ആകയാൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു ദയ ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളും എന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തോടു ദയ ചെയ്തു
