ഇയ്യോബ് 5
1 വിളിച്ചുനോക്കുക; ഉത്തരം പറയുന്നവനുണ്ടോ? നീ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരിൽ ആരെ ശരണം പ്രാപിക്കും?
Therefore call, if there are any who will respond to you, and turn to one or another of the saints.
2 നീരസം ഭോഷനെ കൊല്ലുന്നു; ഈർഷ്യ മൂഢനെ ഹിംസിക്കുന്നു.
Truly, anger condemns the foolish to death, and envy kills the petty.
3 മൂഢൻ വേരൂന്നുന്നതു ഞാൻ കണ്ടു ക്ഷണത്തിൽ അവന്റെ പാർപ്പിടത്തെ ശപിച്ചു.
I have seen a fool with a strong root, and I have cursed his excellence without hesitation.
4 അവന്റെ മക്കൾ രക്ഷയോടകന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ രക്ഷകനില്ലാതെ വാതില്ക്കൽവെച്ചു തകർന്നുപോകുന്നു.
His sons will be far from prosperity and will be crushed at the gate, and there will be none who can rescue them.
5 അവന്റെ വിളവു വിശപ്പുള്ളവൻ തിന്നുകളയും; മുള്ളുകളിൽനിന്നും അതിനെ പറിച്ചെടുക്കും; അവരുടെ സമ്പത്തു ദാഹമുള്ളവർ കപ്പിക്കളയും.
Their harvest, the starving will eat. The armed man will rob him, and the thirsty will drink his resources.
6 അനർത്ഥം ഉത്ഭവിക്കുന്നതു പൂഴിയിൽനിന്നല്ല; കഷ്ടത മുളെക്കുന്നതു നിലത്തുനിന്നുമല്ല;
Nothing on earth occurs without a reason, and sorrow does not rise from the earth.
7 തീപ്പൊരി ഉയരെ പറക്കുംപോലെ മനുഷ്യൻ കഷ്ടതെക്കായി ജനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
Man is born to labor, and the bird to fly.
8 ഞാനോ ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്കു നോക്കുമായിരുന്നു; എന്റെ കാര്യം ദൈവത്തിങ്കൽ ഏല്പിക്കുമായിരുന്നു;
Therefore, because of this, I will beg the Lord, and place my eloquence before God.
9 അവൻ, ആരാഞ്ഞുകൂടാത്ത വങ്കാര്യങ്ങളും അസംഖ്യമായ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
He does great and unfathomable and miraculous things without number.
10 അവൻ ഭൂതലത്തിൽ മഴപെയ്യിക്കുന്നു; വയലുകളിലേക്കു വെള്ളം വിടുന്നു.
He gives rain over the face of the earth and irrigates all things with the waters.
11 അവൻ താണവരെ ഉയർത്തുന്നു; ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നവരെ രക്ഷയിലേക്കു കയറ്റുന്നു.
He places the humble on high and encourages the grieving towards health.
12 അവൻ ഉപായികളുടെ സൂത്രങ്ങളെ അബദ്ധമാക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ കൈകൾ കാര്യം സാധിപ്പിക്കയുമില്ല.
He dispels the thoughts of the spiteful, lest their hands be able to complete what they had begun.
13 അവൻ ജ്ഞാനികളെ അവരുടെ കൗശലത്തിൽ പിടിക്കുന്നു; വക്രബുദ്ധികളുടെ ആലോചന മറിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു.
He catches the wise in their cleverness and dissipates the counsel of the perverse.
14 പകൽസമയത്തു അവർക്കു ഇരുൾ നേരിടുന്നു; ഉച്ചസമയത്തു അവർ രാത്രിയിലെന്നപോലെ തപ്പിനടക്കുന്നു.
They will encounter darkness in the daytime, and they will grope at midday just as in the night.
15 അവൻ ദരിദ്രനെ അവരുടെ വായെന്ന വാളിങ്കൽനിന്നും ബലവാന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
Thereafter, he will act to save the needy from the sword of their mouth, and the poor from the hand of the violent.
16 അങ്ങനെ എളിയവന്നു പ്രത്യാശയുണ്ടു; നീതികെട്ടവനോ വായ്പൊത്തുന്നു.
And there will be hope for those in need, for iniquity will diminish its speech.
17 ദൈവം ശാസിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ; സർവ്വശക്തന്റെ ശിക്ഷ നീ നിരസിക്കരുതു.
Blessed is the man whom God corrects; therefore, do not reject the chastisement of the Lord.
18 അവൻ മുറിവേല്പിക്കയും മുറി കെട്ടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അവൻ ചതെക്കയും തൃക്കൈ പൊറുപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
For he wounds and he cures; he strikes and his hands will heal.
19 ആറു കഷ്ടത്തിൽനിന്നു അവൻ നിന്നെ വിടുവിക്കും; ഏഴാമത്തേതിലും തിന്മ നിന്നെ തൊടുകയില്ല.
He will deliver you into six tribulations, and in the seventh, evil will not touch you.
20 ക്ഷാമകാലത്തു അവൻ നിന്നെ മരണത്തിൽനിന്നും യുദ്ധത്തിൽ വാളിന്റെ വെട്ടിൽനിന്നും വിടുവിക്കും.
During famine, he will rescue you from death, and during war, from the hand of the sword.
21 നാവെന്ന ചമ്മട്ടിക്കു നീ ഗുപ്തനാകും; നാശം വരുമ്പോൾ നീ ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല.
You will be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, and you will not fear calamity when it arrives.
22 നാശവും ക്ഷാമവും കണ്ടു നീ ചിരിക്കും; കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളെ നീ പേടിക്കയില്ല.
In desolation and in famine, you will laugh, and you will not dread the beasts of the earth.
23 വയലിലെ കല്ലുകളോടു നിനക്കു സഖ്യതയുണ്ടാകും; കാട്ടിലെ മൃഗങ്ങൾ നിന്നോടു ഇണങ്ങിയിരിക്കും.
For you are in harmony with the stones of the land, and the beasts of the earth will make peace with you.
24 നിന്റെ കൂടാരം നിർഭയം എന്നു നീ അറിയും; നിന്റെ പാർപ്പിടം നീ പരിശോധിക്കും, ഒന്നും കാണാതെയിരിക്കയില്ല.
And you will know that your home has peace, and, concerning your appearance, you will not sin.
25 നിന്റെ സന്താനം അസംഖ്യമെന്നും നിന്റെ പ്രജ നിലത്തെ പുല്ലുപോലെയെന്നും നീ അറിയും.
Likewise, you will know that your offspring will be manifold and your progeny will be like the grass of the earth.
26 തക്ക സമയത്തു കറ്റക്കൂമ്പാരം അടുക്കിവെക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നീ പൂർണ്ണവാർദ്ധക്യത്തിൽ കല്ലറയിൽ കടക്കും.
You will enter the grave with abundance, just as a crop of wheat is gathered in its time.
27 ഞങ്ങൾ അതു ആരാഞ്ഞുനോക്കി, അതു അങ്ങനെതന്നേ ആകുന്നു; നീ അതു കേട്ടു ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൊൾക.
Behold, this is just as we have found it, which you have heard; walk it through your mind.
