യെശയ്യാവ് 18

1 അയ്യോ, കൂശിലെ നദികൾക്കരികെ ചിറകു കിരുകിരുക്കുന്നതും കടൽവഴിയായി വെള്ളത്തിന്മേൽ ഞാങ്ങണകൊണ്ടുള്ള തോണികളിൽ ദൂതന്മാരെ അയക്കുന്നതും ആയദേശമേ!

Tragedy is coming to the land of whirring wings that lies along the rivers of Ethiopia,

2 ശീഘ്രദൂതന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങൾ ദീർഘകായന്മാരും മൃദുചർമ്മികളുമായ ജാതിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ, ആരംഭംമുതൽ ഇന്നുവരെ ഭയങ്കരമായിരിക്കുന്ന ജാതിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ, അളക്കുന്നതും ചവിട്ടിക്കളയുന്നതും നദികൾ ദേശത്തെ വിഭാഗിക്കുന്നതുമായ ജാതിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ തന്നേ ചെല്ലുവിൻ.

3 ഭൂതലത്തിലെ സർവ്വനിവാസികളും ഭൂമിയിൽ പാർക്കുന്നവരും ആയുള്ളോരേ, പർവ്വതത്തിന്മേൽ കൊടി ഉയർത്തുമ്പോൾ, നിങ്ങൾ നോക്കുവിൻ; കാഹളം ഊതുമ്പോൾ കേൾപ്പിൻ.

All you people of the world, everyone who lives on earth—you will see when a banner is raised on the mountains, you will hear when a trumpet sounds.

4 യഹോവ എന്നോടു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു: വെയിൽ തെളിഞ്ഞു മൂക്കുമ്പോൾ, കൊയ്ത്തുകാലത്തെ ഉഷ്ണത്തിൽ മേഘം മഞ്ഞു പൊഴിക്കുമ്പോൾ, ഞാൻ എന്റെ നിവാസത്തിൽ സ്വസ്ഥമായി നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും.

For this is what the Lord has told me: I will watch quietly from where I live, quiet as heat haze in sunlight, quiet as a mistcloud in the heat of harvest.

5 കൊയ്ത്തിന്നു മുമ്പെ, മൊട്ടിട്ടു കഴിഞ്ഞു, പൂ പൊഴിഞ്ഞു, മുന്തിരിങ്ങാ മൂക്കുമ്പോൾ, അവൻ അരിവാൾകൊണ്ടു വള്ളി മുറിച്ചു ചില്ലി ചെത്തിക്കളയും.

For before the harvest, after the flower is gone and becomes an unripe grape, he prunes the vine with a knife to take out the shoots and branches.

6 അതു ഒക്കെയും മലയിലെ കഴുകിന്നും ഭൂമിയിലെ മൃഗത്തിന്നും ഇട്ടുകളയും; കഴുകു അതുകൊണ്ടു വേനൽ കഴിക്കും; ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലമൃഗവും അതുകൊണ്ടു വർഷം കഴിക്കും.

They will all be left as carrion for the birds of prey of the mountains, and for the wild animals. The birds will eat them in summer, and all the wild animals in winter.

7 ആ കാലത്തു ദീർഘകായന്മാരും മൃദുചർമ്മികളും ആയ ജാതി, ആരംഭംമുതൽ ഇന്നുവരെ ഭയങ്കരമായിരിക്കുന്ന ജാതി, അളക്കുന്നതും ചവിട്ടിക്കളയുന്നതും നദികൾ ദേശത്തെ വിഭാഗിക്കുന്നതുമായ ജാതി തന്നേ, സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ നാമമുള്ള സ്ഥലമായ സീയോൻ പർവ്വതത്തിലേക്കു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവെക്കു തിരുമുല്ക്കാഴ്ച കൊണ്ടുവരും.

At that time a gift will be brought to the Lord Almighty from a tall and smooth-skinned people, from a people feared by everyone, from a very powerful nation of conquerors, whose land is washed away by rivers. It will be brought to Mount Zion, the place identified with the Lord Almighty.
