ഉല്പത്തി 17

1 അബ്രാമിന്നു തൊണ്ണൂറ്റൊമ്പതു വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ യഹോവ അബ്രാമിന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി അവനോടു: ഞാൻ സർവ്വശക്തിയുള്ള ദൈവം ആകുന്നു; നീ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടന്നു നിഷ്കളങ്കനായിരിക്ക.

Forsothe aftir that Abram bigan to be of nynti yeer and nyne, the Lord apperide to hym, and seide to him, Y am Almyyti God; go thou bifore me, and be thou perfit;

2 എനിക്കും നിനക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ ഞാൻ എന്റെ നിയമം സ്ഥാപിക്കും; നിന്നെ അധികമധികമായി വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

and Y schal sette my couenaunt of pees bitwixe me and thee; and Y schal multiplie thee ful greetli.

3 അപ്പോൾ അബ്രാം സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു; ദൈവം അവനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

And Abram felde doun lowe on his face.

4 എനിക്കു നിന്നോടു ഒരു നിയമമുണ്ടു; നീ ബഹുജാതികൾക്കു പിതാവാകും;

And God seide to hym, Y am, and my couenaunt of pees is with thee, and thou schalt be the fadir of many folkis;

5 ഇനി നിന്നെ അബ്രാം എന്നല്ല വിളിക്കേണ്ടതു; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ബഹുജാതികൾക്കു പിതാവാക്കിയിരിക്കയാൽ നിന്റെ പേർ അബ്രാഹാം എന്നിരിക്കേണം.

and thi name schal no more be clepid Abram, but thou schalt be clepid Abraham, for Y haue maad thee fadir of many folkis;

6 ഞാൻ നിന്നെ അധികമധികമായി വർദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു, അനേകജാതികളാക്കും; നിന്നിൽ നിന്നു രാജാക്കന്മാരും ഉത്ഭവിക്കും.

and Y schal make thee to wexe ful greetli, and Y schal sette thee in folkis, and kyngis schulen go out of thee;

7 ഞാൻ നിനക്കും നിന്റെ ശേഷം നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും ദൈവമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ എനിക്കും നിനക്കും നിന്റെ ശേഷം തലമുറതലമുറയായി നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ എന്റെ നിയമത്തെ നിത്യനിയമമായി സ്ഥാപിക്കും.

and Y schal make my couenaunt bitwixe me and thee, and bitwixe thi seed after thee, in her generaciouns, bi euerlastynge bond of pees, that Y be thi God, and of thi seed after thee;

8 ഞാൻ നിനക്കും നിന്റെ ശേഷം നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും നീ പ്രവാസം ചെയ്യുന്ന ദേശമായ കനാൻദേശം ഒക്കെയും ശാശ്വതാവകാശമായി തരും; ഞാൻ അവർക്കു ദൈവമായുമിരിക്കും.

and Y schal yyue to thee and to thi seed after thee the lond of thi pilgrymage, al the lond of Chanaan, in to euerlastynge possessioun, and Y schal be the God of hem.

9 ദൈവം പിന്നെയും അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: നീയും നിന്റെ ശേഷം തലമുറതലമുറയായി നിന്റെ സന്തതിയും എന്റെ നിയമം പ്രമാണിക്കേണം.

God seide eft to Abraham, And therfor thou schalt kepe my couenaunt, and thi seed after thee, in her generaciouns.

10 എനിക്കും നിങ്ങൾക്കും നിന്റെ ശേഷം നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും മദ്ധ്യേയുള്ളതും നിങ്ങൾ പ്രമാണിക്കേണ്ടതുമായ എന്റെ നിയമം ആവിതു: നിങ്ങളിൽ പുരുഷപ്രജയൊക്കെയും പരിച്ഛേദന ഏൽക്കേണം.

This is my couenaunt, which ye schulen kepe bitwixe me and you, and thi seed after thee; ech male kynde of you schal be circumcidid,

11 നിങ്ങളുടെ അഗ്രചർമ്മം പരിച്ഛേദന ചെയ്യേണം; അതു എനിക്കും നിങ്ങൾക്കും മദ്ധ്യേയുള്ള നിയമത്തിന്റെ അടയാളം ആകും.

and ye schulen circumside the fleisch of youre mannes yeerd, that it be in to a signe of boond of pees bytwixe me and you.

12 തലമുറതലമുറയായി നിങ്ങളിൽ പുരുഷപ്രജയൊക്കെയും എട്ടു ദിവസം പ്രായമാകുമ്പോൾ പരിച്ഛേദന ഏൽക്കേണം; വീട്ടിൽ ജനിച്ച ദാസനായാലും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയല്ലാത്തവനായി അന്യനോടു വിലയ്ക്കു വാങ്ങിയവനായാലും ശരി.

A yong child of eiyte daies schal be circumsidid in you, al male kynde in youre generaciouns, as wel a borun seruaunt as a seruaunt bouyt schal be circumsidid, and who euere is of youre kynrede he schal be circumsidid;

13 നിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ജനിച്ച ദാസനും നീ വിലകൊടുത്തു വാങ്ങിയവനും പരിച്ഛേദന ഏറ്റേകഴിയൂ; എന്റെ നിയമം നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേഹത്തിൽ നിത്യനിയമമായിരിക്കേണം.

and my couenaunt schal be in youre fleisch in to euerlastynge boond of pees.

14 അഗ്രചർമ്മിയായ പുരുഷപ്രജയെ പരിച്ഛേദന ഏൽക്കാതിരുന്നാൽ ജനത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം; അവൻ എന്റെ നിയമം ലംഘിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

A man whos fleisch of his yerde schal not be circumsidid, thilke man schal be doon a wei fro his puple; for he made voide my couenaunt.

15 ദൈവം പിന്നെയും അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു: നിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറായിയെ സാറായി എന്നല്ല വിളിക്കേണ്ടതു; അവളുടെ പേർ സാറാ എന്നു ഇരിക്കേണം.

Also God seide to Abraham, Thou schalt not clepe Saray, thi wijf, Sarai, but Sara;

16 ഞാൻ അവളെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവളിൽനിന്നു നിനക്കു ഒരു മകനെ തരും; ഞാൻ അവളെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയും അവൾ ജാതികൾക്കു മാതാവായി തീരുകയും ജാതികളുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാർ അവളിൽനിന്നു ഉത്ഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

and Y schal blesse hir, and of hir I schal yyue to thee a sone, whom I schal blesse, and he schal be in to naciouns, and kyngis of puplis schulen be borun of hym.

17 അപ്പോൾ അബ്രാഹാം കവിണ്ണുവീണു ചിരിച്ചു: നൂറു വയസ്സുള്ളവന്നു മകൻ ജനിക്കുമോ? തൊണ്ണൂറു വയസ്സുള്ള സാറാ പ്രസവിക്കുമോ എന്നു തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.

Abraham felde doun on his face, and leiyede in his hert, and seide, Gessist thou, whethir a sone schal be borun to a man of an hundrid yeer, and Sara of nynti yeer schal bere child?

18 യിശ്മായേൽ നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നാൽ മതി എന്നു അബ്രാഹാം ദൈവത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

And he seide to the Lord, Y wolde that Ismael lyue bifore thee.

19 അതിന്നു ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: അല്ല, നിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറാ തന്നേ നിനക്കൊരു മകനെ പ്രസവിക്കും; നീ അവന്നു യിസ്ഹാക്ക് എന്നു പേരിടേണം; ഞാൻ അവനോടും അവന്റെ ശേഷം അവന്റെ സന്തതിയോടും എന്റെ നിയമത്തെ നിത്യനിയമമായി ഉറപ്പിക്കും

And the Lord seide to Abraham, Sara, thi wijf, schal bere a sone to thee, and thou schalt clepe his name Ysaac, and Y schal make my couenaunt to hym in to euerlastynge boond of pees, and to his seed aftir hym;

20 യിശ്മായേലിനെ കുറിച്ചും ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവനെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അത്യന്തം സന്താനപുഷ്ടിയുള്ളവനാക്കി വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കും. അവൻ പന്ത്രണ്ടു പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെ ജനിപ്പിക്കും; ഞാൻ അവനെ വലിയോരു ജാതിയാക്കും.

also on Ysmael Y haue herd thee, lo! Y schal blesse him, and Y schal encreesse, and Y schal multiplie him greetli; he schal gendre twelue dukis, and Y schal make hym in to a greet folk.

21 എന്റെ നിയമം ഞാൻ ഉറപ്പിക്കുന്നതോ, ഇനിയത്തെ ആണ്ടു ഈ സമയത്തു സാറാ നിനക്കു പ്രസവിപ്പാനുള്ള യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടു ആകുന്നു.

Forsothe Y schal make my couenaunt to Ysaac, whom Sare schal childe to thee in this tyme in the tother yeer.

22 ദൈവം അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു തീർന്നശേഷം അവനെ വിട്ടു കയറിപ്പോയി.

And whanne the word of the spekere with hym was endid, God stiede fro Abraham.

23 അനന്തരം അബ്രാഹാം തന്റെ മകനായ യിശ്മായേലിനെയും തന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ജനിച്ച സകലദാസന്മാരെയും താൻ വിലയ്ക്കു വാങ്ങിയവരെ ഒക്കെയും അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ വീട്ടിലുള്ള സകലപുരുഷന്മാരെയും കൂട്ടി ദൈവം തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവരുടെ അഗ്രചർമ്മത്തെ അന്നുതന്നേ പരിച്ഛേദന കഴിച്ചു.

Forsothe Abraham took Ismael, his sone, and alle the borun seruauntis of his hous, and alle which he hadde bouyte, alle the malis of alle men of his hous, and circumsidide the fleisch of her yerde, anoon in that dai, as the Lord comaundide him.

24 അബ്രാഹാം പരിച്ഛേദനയേറ്റപ്പോൾ അവന്നു തൊണ്ണൂറ്റൊമ്പതു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു.

Abraham was of nynti yeer and nyne whanne he circumsidide the fleisch of his yeerd,

25 അവന്റെ മകനായ യിശ്മായേൽ പരിച്ഛേദനയേറ്റപ്പോൾ അവന്നു പതിമൂന്നു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു.

and Ismael, his sone, hadde fillid threttene yeer in the tyme of his circumsicioun.

26 അബ്രാഹാമും അവന്റെ മകനായ യിശ്മായേലും ഒരേ ദിവസത്തിൽ പരിച്ഛേദന ഏറ്റു.

Abraham was circumsidid in the same day, and Ismael his sone,

27 വീട്ടിൽ ജനിച്ച ദാസന്മാരും അന്യരോടു അവൻ വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങിയവരുമായി അവന്റെ വീട്ടിലുള്ളവർ എല്ലാവരും അവനോടുകൂടെ പരിച്ഛേദന ഏറ്റു.

and alle men of his hows, as wel borun seruauntis as bouyt and aliens, weren circumcidid togidre.
