2 ശമൂവേൽ 8
1 അനന്തരം ദാവീദ് ഫെലിസ്ത്യരെ ജയിച്ചടക്കി, മൂലസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ ഭരണം ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു കരസ്ഥമാക്കി.
and to be after so and to smite David [obj] Philistine and be humble them and to take: take David [obj] Metheg-ammah [the] Metheg-ammah from hand: power Philistine
2 അവൻ മോവാബ്യരെയും തോല്പിച്ചു അവരെ നിലത്തു കിടത്തി ചരടുകൊണ്ടു അളന്നു; കൊല്ലുവാൻ രണ്ടു ചരടും ജീവനോടെ രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ഒരു ചരടുമായി അവൻ അളന്നു. അങ്ങനെ മോവാബ്യർ ദാവീദിന്നു ദാസന്മാരായി കപ്പം കൊടുത്തുവന്നു.

3 രെഹോബിന്റെ മകനായി സോബരാജാവായ ഹദദേസെർ നദീതീരത്തുള്ള തന്റെ ആധിപത്യം യഥാസ്ഥാനപ്പെടുത്തുവാൻ പോയപ്പോൾ ദാവീദ് അവനെ തോല്പിച്ചു.

4 അവന്റെ വക ആയിരത്തെഴുനൂറു കുതിരച്ചേവകരെയും ഇരുപതിനായിരം കാലാളുകളെയും ദാവീദ് പിടിച്ചു; രഥക്കുതിരകളിൽ നൂറു മാത്രംവെച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു ശേഷം കുതിരകളെ ഒക്കെയും കുതിഞരമ്പു വെട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

5 സോബരാജാവായ ഹദദേസെരിനെ സഹായിപ്പാൻ ദമ്മേശെക്കിനോടു ചേർന്ന അരാമ്യർ വന്നപ്പോൾ ദാവീദ് അരാമ്യരിൽ ഇരുപത്തീരായിരംപേരെ സംഹരിച്ചു.

6 പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് ദമ്മേശെക്കിനോടു ചേർന്ന അരാമിൽ കാവല്പട്ടാളങ്ങളെ പാർപ്പിച്ചു; അരാമ്യരും ദാവീദിന്നു ദാസന്മാരായിത്തീർന്നു കപ്പം കൊടുത്തുവന്നു. ഇങ്ങനെ ദാവീദ് ചെന്നേടത്തൊക്കെയും യഹോവ അവന്നു ജയം നല്കി.

7 ഹദദേസെരിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർക്കു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന പൊൻപരിചകളെ ദാവീദ് എടുത്തു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

8 ഹദദേസെരിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളായ ബേതഹിൽനിന്നും ബെരോതായിൽനിന്നും ദാവീദ്‌രാജാവു അനവധി താമ്രവും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

9 ദാവീദ് ഹദദേസെരിന്റെ സർവ്വസൈന്യത്തെയും തോല്പിച്ചു എന്നു ഹമാത്ത്‌ രാജാവായ തോയി കേട്ടപ്പോൾ
and to hear: hear Toi king Hamath for to smite David [obj] all strength: soldiers Hadadezer
10 ദാവീദ് രാജാവിനോടു കുശലം ചോദിപ്പാനും അവൻ ഹദദേസെരിനോടു യുദ്ധംചെയ്തു അവനെ തോല്പിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവനെ അഭിനന്ദിപ്പാനും തോയി തന്റെ മകൻ യോരാമിനെ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു; ഹദദേസെരിന്നു തോയിയോടു കൂടക്കൂടെ യുദ്ധമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. യോരാം വെള്ളി, പൊന്നു, താമ്രം എന്നിവകൊണ്ടുള്ള സാധനങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

11 ദാവീദ് രാജാവു ഇവയെ അരാമ്യർ, മോവാബ്യർ, അമ്മോന്യർ, ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ, അമാലേക്യർ എന്നിങ്ങനെ താൻ കീഴടക്കിയ സകലജാതികളുടെയും പക്കൽനിന്നും
also [obj] them to consecrate: dedicate [the] king David to/for LORD with [the] silver: money and [the] gold which to consecrate: dedicate from all [the] nation which to subdue
12 രെഹോബിന്റെ മകനായി സോബരാജാവായ ഹദദേസെരിന്റെ കൊള്ളയിൽനിന്നും എടുത്തു വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ച വെള്ളിയോടും പൊന്നിനോടുംകൂടെ യഹോവെക്കു വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു.
from Edom and from Moab and from son: descendant/people Ammon and from Philistine and from Amalek and from spoil Hadadezer son: child Rehob king Zobah
13 പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് ഉപ്പുതാഴ്‌വരയിൽവെച്ചു പതിനെണ്ണായിരം അരാമ്യരെ സംഹരിച്ചു മടങ്ങിവന്നപ്പോൾ തനിക്കു കീർത്തി സമ്പാദിച്ചു.
and to make David name in/on/with to return: return he from to smite he [obj] Edom in/on/with (Salt) Valley (Valley of) Salt eight ten thousand
14 അവൻ എദോമിൽ കാവല്പട്ടാളങ്ങളെ ആക്കി; എദോമിൽ എല്ലാടത്തും അവൻ കാവല്പട്ടാളങ്ങളെ പാർപ്പിച്ചു; എദോമ്യരൊക്കെയും ദാവീദിന്നു ദാസന്മാരായിത്തീർന്നു; ദാവീദ് ചെന്നേടത്തൊക്കെയും യഹോവ അവന്നു ജയം നല്കി.
and to set: put in/on/with Edom garrison in/on/with all Edom to set: put garrison and to be all Edom servant/slave to/for David and to save LORD [obj] David in/on/with all which to go: went
15 ഇങ്ങനെ ദാവീദ് എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിനെയും വാണു; ദാവീദ് തന്റെ സകലജനത്തിന്നും നീതിയും ന്യായവും നടത്തിക്കൊടുത്തു.
and to reign David upon all Israel and to be David to make: do justice and righteousness to/for all people his
16 സെരൂയയുടെ മകൻ യോവാബ് സേനാധിപതിയും അഹീലൂദിന്റെ മകൻ യെഹോശാഫാത് മന്ത്രിയും ആയിരുന്നു.
and Joab son: child Zeruiah upon [the] army and Jehoshaphat son: child Ahilud to remember
17 അഹീതൂബിന്റെ മകൻ സാദോക്കും അബ്യാഥാരിന്റെ മകൻ അഹീമേലെക്കും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും സെരായാ രായസക്കാരനും ആയിരുന്നു.
and Zadok son: child Ahitub and Ahimelech son: child Abiathar priest and Seraiah secretary
18 യഹോയാദയുടെ മകൻ ബെനായാവു ക്രേത്യർക്കും പ്ലേത്യർക്കും അധിപതി ആയിരുന്നു; ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോ പുരോഹിതന്മാരായിരുന്നു.
and Benaiah son: child Jehoiada and [the] Cherethite and [the] Pelethite and son: child David priest to be
