1 രാജാക്കന്മാർ 6

1 യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടതിന്റെ നാനൂറ്റെണ്പതാം സംവത്സരത്തിൽ യിസ്രായേലിൽ ശലോമോന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ നാലാം ആണ്ടിൽ രണ്ടാം മാസമായ സീവ് മാസത്തിൽ അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം പണിവാൻ തുടങ്ങി.

And so it came to pass, in the four hundred and eightieth year, by the coming forth of the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year (in the month of Zif, the same, being the second month) of the reign of Solomon over Israel, that he began to build the house unto Yahweh.

2 ശലോമോൻരാജാവു യഹോവെക്കു പണിത ആലയം അറുപതു മുഴം നീളവും ഇരുപതു മുഴം വീതിയും മുപ്പതു മുഴം ഉയരവും ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു

Now, the house which King Solomon built unto Yahweh, was sixty cubits in length, and twenty in breadth, —and thirty cubits in height.

3 ആലയമായ മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുഖമണ്ഡപം ആലയവീതിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളവും ആലയത്തിന്റെ മുൻവശത്തു പത്തു മുഴം വീതിയും ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു.

And, the porch in front of the temple of the house, was twenty cubits in length, according to the breadth of the house, —ten cubits in breadth, in front of the house.

4 അവൻ ആലയത്തിന്നു ജാലം ഇണക്കിയ കിളിവാതിലുകളെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

And he made to the house windows, with closed bars.

5 മന്ദിരവും അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരവും കൂടിയ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവരിനോടു ചേർത്തു ചുറ്റും തട്ടുതട്ടായി പുറവാരങ്ങളും പണിതു അവയിൽ ചുറ്റും അറകളും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

And he built—by the wall of the house—a gallery, round about, against the walls of the house, round about, both to the temple, and to the shrine, —and he made side chambers round about.

6 താഴത്തെ പുറവാരം അഞ്ചു മുഴവും നടുവിലത്തേതു ആറു മുഴവും മൂന്നാമത്തേതു ഏഴു മുഴവും വീതിയുള്ളതായിരുന്നു; തുലാങ്ങൾ ആലയഭിത്തികളിൽ അകത്തു ചെല്ലാതിരിപ്പാൻ അവൻ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റും പുറമെ ഗളം പണിതു.

The, lowest gallery, was five cubits broad, and, the middle, six cubits broad, and, the third, seven cubits broad, —for he put, ledges, against the house round about, on the outer side, so as not to make fastenings in the walls of the house.

7 വെട്ടുകുഴിയിൽവെച്ചു തന്നേ കുറവുതീർത്ത കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു ആലയം പണിതതിനാൽ അതു പണിയുന്ന സമയത്തു ചുറ്റിക, മഴു മുതലായ യാതൊരു ഇരിമ്പായുധത്തിന്റെയും ഒച്ച ആലയത്തിങ്കൽ കേൾപ്പാനില്ലായിരുന്നു.

Now, the house, when it was in building, with whole quarry-stones, was built, —neither hammer, nor axe, nor any tools of iron, was heard in the house, when it was in building.

8 താഴത്തെ പുറവാരത്തിന്റെ വാതിൽ ആലയത്തിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു ആയിരുന്നു; ചുഴൽകോവണിയിൽകൂടെ നടുവിലെ പുറവാരത്തിലേക്കും നടുവിലത്തേതിൽനിന്നു മൂന്നാമത്തെ പുറവാരത്തിലേക്കും കയറാം.

The entrance of the lowest story, was on the right side of the house, —and, by winding stairs, went they up unto the middle [story], and, out of the middle, into, the third.

9 അങ്ങനെ അവൻ ആലയം പണിതുതീർത്തു; ദേവദാരുത്തുലാങ്ങളും ദേവദാരുപ്പലകയുംകൊണ്ടു ആലയത്തിന്നു മച്ചിട്ടു.

So he built the house, and finished it, —and ceiled the house with planks and beams of cedar;

10 ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള തട്ടുകൾ അയ്യഞ്ചു മുഴം ഉയരത്തിൽ അവൻ പണിതു ദേവദാരുത്തുലാങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടു ആലയത്തോടു ഇണെച്ചു.

and built the gallery against all the house, five cubits in height, —and so fastened the house, with timber of cedar.

11 ശലോമോന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഉണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

Then came the word of Yahweh unto Solomon, saying:

12 നീ പണിയുന്ന ഈ ആലയം ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; നീ എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ ആചരിച്ചു എന്റെ വിധികളെ അനുസരിച്ചു എന്റെ കല്പനകളൊക്കെയും പ്രമാണിച്ചുനടന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം നിന്നിൽ നിവർത്തിക്കും.

Concerning this house, which thou art building, If thou wilt walk in my statutes, and, my regulations, wilt practise, and so observe all my commandments, by walking in them, Then will I establish my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father;

13 ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ വസിക്കും; എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയില്ല.

and will make my habitation in the midst of the sons of Israel, —and will not forsake my people Israel.

14 അങ്ങനെ ശലോമോൻ ആലയം പണിതുതീർത്തു.

Thus Solomon built the house, and finished it;

15 അവൻ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവർ അകത്തെവശം ദേവദാരുപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു പണിതു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ ആലയത്തിന്റെ നിലംമുതൽ മച്ചുവരെ അകത്തെ വശം മരംകൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചു; ആലയത്തിന്റെ നിലം സരളപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു തളമിട്ടു.

and he built the walls of the house on the inside, with boards of cedar, from the floor of the house, unto the cross-beams of the ceiling, he overlaid it with wood, on the inside, —and he overlaid the floor of the house with boards of fir.

16 ആലയത്തിന്റെ പിൻവശം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളത്തിൽ നിലം മുതൽ ഉത്തരം വരെ ദേവദാരുപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു പണിതു: ഇങ്ങനെയാകുന്നു അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരമായ അതിവിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ ഉൾവശം പണിതതു.

And he built twenty cubits, at the hinder part of the house, with boards of cedar, from the floor as far as the cross-beams, —and he built it within, for a shrine, even for the holy of holies;

17 അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുൻഭാഗത്തുള്ള മന്ദിരമായ ആലയത്തിന്നു നാല്പതു മുഴം നിളമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

but, forty cubits, was the house itself, —the same, was the temple, before the oracle.

18 ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകത്തെ ചുവരിന്മേൽ ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടുള്ള കുമിഴുകളും വിടർന്ന പുഷ്പങ്ങളും കൊത്തുപണിയായിരുന്നു; എല്ലാം ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു; കല്ലു അശേഷം കാണ്മാനുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

And, the cedar for the house within, was carved with colocynths, and with festoons of flowers, —the whole, was cedar, there was no stone to be seen.

19 ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകത്തു യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം വെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ ഒരു അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരം ചമെച്ചു.

And, the shrine in the midst of the house within, made he ready, —for placing there, the ark of the covenant of Yahweh.

20 അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ അകം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളവും ഇരുപതു മുഴം വീതിയും ഇരുപതു മുഴം ഉയരവും ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു; അവൻ അതു തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; ദേവദാരുമരംകൊണ്ടുള്ള ധൂപപീഠവും പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

And, the interior of the shrine, was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in height, and he overlaid it, with pure gold, —and overlaid the altar with cedar.

21 ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകം ശലോമോൻ തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുൻവശത്തു വിലങ്ങത്തിൽ പൊൻചങ്ങല കൊളുത്തി അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരം പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

Thus then did Solomon overlay the house within, with pure gold, —and he drew chains of gold across the front of the shrine, and overlaid it with gold;

22 അങ്ങനെ അവൻ ആലയം ആസകലം പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്നുള്ള പീഠവും മുഴുവനും പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

yea, all the house, overlaid he with gold, until he had made all the house into one whole, —even all the altar that was by the shrine, overlaid he with gold.

23 അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരത്തിൽ അവൻ ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു പത്തു മുഴം ഉയരമുള്ള രണ്ടു കെരൂബുകളെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

And he made, within the shrine, two cherubim of wild olive wood, —ten cubits in height;

24 ഒരു കെരൂബിന്റെ ഒരു ചിറകു അഞ്ചു മുഴം, കെരൂബിന്റെ മറ്റെ ചിറകു അഞ്ചു മുഴം; ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു ചിറകിന്റെ അറ്റം മുതൽ മറ്റെ ചിറകിന്റെ അറ്റംവരെ പത്തു മുഴം.

and, five cubits, was the one wing of the cherub, and, five cubits, the second wing of the cherub, —ten cubits, from the one end of his wings unto the other end of his wings.

25 മറ്റെ കെരൂബിന്നും പത്തു മുഴം; കെരൂബ് രണ്ടിന്നും അളവും ആകൃതിയും ഒന്നു തന്നേ.

Ten cubits, also was the second cherub, —of one size and one shape, were the two cherubim.

26 ഒരു കെരൂബിന്റെ ഉയരം പത്തു മുഴം; മറ്റെ കെരൂബിന്നും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ.

The height of the one cherub, was ten cubits, —and, so, of the second cherub.

27 അവൻ കെരൂബുകളെ അന്തരാലയത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ നിർത്തി; കെരൂബുകളുടെ ചിറകു വിടർന്നിരുന്നു; ഒന്നിന്റെ ചിറകു ഒരു ചുവരോടും മറ്റേതിന്റെ ചിറകു മറ്റേ ചുവരോടും തൊട്ടിരുന്നു. ആലയത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ അവയുടെ ചിറകു ഒന്നോടൊന്നു തൊട്ടിരുന്നു.

And he placed the cherubim in the midst of the inner house, and the cherubim stretched forth their wings, —so that the wing of the one touched the [one] wall, and the wing of the other cherub, was touching the other wall, —and, their wings in the midst of the house, were touching, wing to wing.

28 കെരൂബുകളെയും അവൻ പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

And he overlaid the cherubim with gold.

29 അന്തരാലയവും ബഹിരാലയവുമായ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവരുകളിലെല്ലാം ചുറ്റും കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടർന്ന പുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപം കൊത്തി ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

And, all the walls of the house round about, carved he with figures of cherubim, and palm-trees, and festoons of flowers, —within and without.

30 അന്തരാലയവും ബഹിരാലയവുമായ ആലയത്തിന്റെ തളവും അവൻ പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

Even the floor of the house, overlaid he with gold, —within and without.

31 അവൻ അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ വാതിലിന്നു ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു കതകു ഉണ്ടാക്കി; കുറമ്പടിയും കട്ടളക്കാലും ചുവരിന്റെ അഞ്ചിൽ ഒരു അംശമായിരുന്നു.

And, the entrance of the shrine, made he with doors, of wild olive-wood, the pillars and posts being a fifth.

32 ഒലിവ് മരംകൊണ്ടുള്ള കതകു രണ്ടിലും കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടർന്നപുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപങ്ങൾ കൊത്തി പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; കെരൂബുകളിലും ഈന്തപ്പനകളിലും പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു

The two doors, also were of olive-wood, and he carved upon them carvings of cherubim, and palm-trees, and festoons of flowers, and overlaid them with gold, —yea he spread out, over the cherubim and over the palm-trees, the gold.

33 അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ അവൻ മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ വാതിലിന്നും ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു കട്ടള ഉണ്ടാക്കി; അതു ചുവരിന്റെ നാലിൽ ഒരംശമായിരുന്നു.

So, also, made he for the entrance of the temple, with posts of wild olive-wood, —a fourth part.

34 അതിന്റെ കതകു രണ്ടും സരളമരംകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒരു കതകിന്നു രണ്ടു മടക്കുപാളിയും മറ്റെ കതകിന്നു രണ്ടു മടക്കുപാളിയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And, the two doors, were of fir wood, —the two leaves of the one door, were folding, and, the two leaves of the other door, were folding.

35 അവൻ അവയിൽ കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടർന്ന പുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപങ്ങളെ കൊത്തി രൂപങ്ങളുടെമേൽ പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

And he carved cherubim, and palm-trees, and festoons of flowers, and overlaid them with gold, smoothed out on the carved work.

36 അവൻ അകത്തെ പ്രാകാരം ചെത്തിയ കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു മൂന്നു വരിയും ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു വരിയുമായിട്ടു പണിതു.

And he built the inner court, with three rows of hewn stone, —and a row of beams of cedar.

37 നാലാം ആണ്ടു സീവ് മാസത്തിൽ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്നു അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇടുകയും

In the fourth year, was laid the foundation of the house of Yahweh, —in the month Zif;

38 പതിനൊന്നാം ആണ്ടു എട്ടാം മാസമായ ബൂൽമാസത്തിൽ ആലയം അതിന്റെ സകലഭാഗങ്ങളുമായി അതിന്റെ മാതൃകപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും പണിതുതീർക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അങ്ങനെ അവൻ ഏഴാണ്ടുകൊണ്ടു അതു പണിതുതീർത്തു.

and, in the eleventh year, in the month Bul—the same, is the eighth month, was the house finished, as to all the particulars thereof, and as to all the appointments thereof, —so then he built it in seven years.
