1 ദിനവൃത്താന്തം 29

1 പിന്നെ ദാവീദ്‌ രാജാവു സർവ്വസഭയോടും പറഞ്ഞതു: ദൈവം തന്നേ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ മകൻ ശലോമോൻ ചെറുപ്പവും ഇളംപ്രായവും ഉള്ളവൻ; പ്രവൃത്തി വലിയതും ആകുന്നു; മന്ദിരം മനുഷ്യന്നല്ല, യഹോവയായ ദൈവത്തിന്നത്രെ.

Then said David the king unto all the convocation, Solomon my son, the one, of whom God hath made choice, is young and tender, —and, the work, is great, seeing that, not for man, is the palace, but for Yahweh Elohim.

2 എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ സർവ്വബലത്തോടും കൂടെ എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടുള്ളവെക്കു പൊന്നും വെള്ളികൊണ്ടുള്ളവെക്കു വെള്ളിയും താമ്രംകൊണ്ടുള്ളവെക്കു താമ്രവും ഇരിമ്പുകൊണ്ടുള്ളവെക്കു ഇരിമ്പും മരംകൊണ്ടുള്ളവെക്കു മരവും ഗോമേദകക്കല്ലും പതിപ്പാനുള്ള കല്ലും ഖചിതപ്രവൃത്തിക്കുള്ള കല്ലും നാനവർണ്ണമുള്ള കല്ലും വിലയേറിയ സകലവിധ രത്നവും അനവധി വെള്ളക്കല്ലും ശേഖരിച്ചു വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

And, with all my might, have I made preparation for the house of my God, the gold for the gold, and the silver for the silver, and the bronze for the bronze, the iron for the iron, and the wood for the wood, —and beryl stones and settings, stones coloured and particoloured, and all manner of precious stones and stones of white marble, in abundance.

3 എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തോടു എനിക്കുള്ള പക്ഷംനിമിത്തം വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി ഞാൻ ശേഖരിച്ചതൊക്കെയും കൂടാതെ എന്റെ സ്വന്തഭണ്ഡാരത്തിലെ പൊന്നും വെള്ളിയും ഞാൻ എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിന്നായി കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

And yet further, because of my delighting in the house of my God, having a treasure of mine own in gold and silver, I have given for the house of my God, above and beyond all that I have prepared for the holy house:

4 ആലയഭിത്തികളെ പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു വേണ്ടതു പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടും വെള്ളികൊണ്ടു വേണ്ടതു വെള്ളികൊണ്ടും പൊതിവാനും കൗശലപ്പണിക്കാരുടെ എല്ലാ പണിക്കായിട്ടും ഓഫീർപൊന്നായി മൂവായിരം താലന്തു പൊന്നും ഏഴായിരം താലന്തു ഊതിക്കഴിച്ച വെള്ളിയും തന്നേ.

three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, —and seven thousand talents of refined silver, for overlaying the walls of the recesses.

5 എന്നാൽ ഇന്നു യഹോവെക്കു കരപൂരണം ചെയ്‌വാൻ മനഃപൂർവ്വം അർപ്പിക്കുന്നവൻ ആർ?

Of gold for the gold, and of silver for the silver, and for all manner of work in the hand of artificers, —Who then is ready to offer willingly, by filling his hand to-day, unto Yahweh?

6 അപ്പോൾ പിതൃഭവനപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ഗോത്രപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും സഹസ്രാധിപന്മാരും ശതാധിപന്മാരും രാജാവിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു മേൽവിചാരകന്മാരും മനഃപൂർവ്വദാനങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

Then offered they willingly—the ancestral rulers and the rulers of the tribes of Israel, and the rulers of thousands and hundreds, even to the rulers of the work of the king;

7 ദൈവാലയത്തിന്റെ വേലെക്കായിട്ടു അവർ അയ്യായിരം താലന്ത് പൊന്നും പതിനായിരം തങ്കക്കാശും പതിനായിരം താലന്ത് വെള്ളിയും പതിനെണ്ണായിരം താലന്ത് താമ്രവും നൂറായിരം താലന്ത് ഇരിമ്പും കൊടുത്തു.

and gave for the service of the house of God, of gold, five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and, of silver, ten thousand talents, and, of bronze, eighteen thousand talents, —and, of iron, one hundred thousand talents.

8 രത്നങ്ങൾ കൈവശമുള്ളവർ അവയെ ഗേർശോന്യനായ യെഹീയേൽമുഖാന്തരം യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിലേക്കു കൊടുത്തു.

And, every one with whom were found precious stones, gave to the treasure of the house of Yahweh, —unto the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

9 അങ്ങനെ ജനം മനഃപൂർവ്വമായി കൊടുത്തതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ സന്തോഷിച്ചു; ഏകാഗ്രഹൃദയത്തോടെ മനഃപൂർവ്വമായിട്ടായിരുന്നു അവർ യഹോവെക്കു കൊടുത്തതു. ദാവീദ്‌ രാജാവും അത്യന്തം സന്തോഷിച്ചു.

So the people rejoiced because they willingly offered, for, with a perfect heart, offered they willingly unto Yahweh, —moreover also, David the king, rejoiced with great joy.

10 പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് സർവ്വസഭയുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിച്ചു ചൊല്ലിയതെന്തെന്നാൽ: ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യിസ്രായേലിൻ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ എന്നും എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ.

Therefore did David bless Yahweh in the eyes of all the convocation, —and David said, Blessed art thou, O Yahweh, the God of Israel our father, from age even unto age.

11 യഹോവേ, മഹത്വവും ശക്തിയും തേജസ്സും യശസ്സും മഹിമയും നിനക്കുള്ളതു; സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും ഭൂമിയിലുമുള്ളതൊക്കെയും നിനക്കുള്ളതല്ലോ. യഹോവേ, രാജത്വം നിനക്കുള്ളതാകുന്നു; നീ സകലത്തിന്നുംമീതെ തലവനായിരിക്കുന്നു.

Thine, O Yahweh, are Greatness, and Might, and Beauty, and Victory, and Majesty, nay! all in the heavens and in the earth, —thine, O Yahweh, is the kingdom, who art exalted above all, —as chief;

12 ധനവും ബഹുമാനവും നിങ്കൽനിന്നു വരുന്നു; നീ സർവ്വവും ഭരിക്കുന്നു; ശക്തിയും ബലവും നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; സകലത്തെയും വലുതാക്കുന്നതും ശക്തീകരിക്കുന്നതും നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയാകുന്നു.

and, riches and honour, are from before thee, and, thou, art ruling over all, and, in thy hand, are power and might, —and, in thy hand, it is, to give greatness and strength unto any.

13 ആകയാൽ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമേ, ഞങ്ങൾ നിനക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്തു നിന്റെ മഹത്വമുള്ള നാമത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കുന്നു.

Now, therefore, O our God, we are giving thanks unto thee, —and offering praise, unto thy beautiful Name.

14 എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ഇങ്ങനെ ഇത്ര മനഃപൂർവ്വമായി ദാനം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു പ്രാപ്തരാകുവാൻ ഞാൻ ആർ? എന്റെ ജനവും എന്തുള്ളു? സകലവും നിങ്കൽനിന്നല്ലോ വരുന്നതു; നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വാങ്ങി ഞങ്ങൾ നിനക്കു തന്നതേയുള്ളു.

And yet, who am, I, and who are my people, that we should be able to offer willingly like this? for, from thee, is the whole, and, out of thine own hand, have we given unto thee;

15 ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ അങ്ങളുടെ സകലപിതാക്കന്മാരെയുംപോലെ അതിഥികളും പരദേശികളും ആകുന്നു; ഭൂമിയിൽ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ആയുഷ്കാലം ഒരു നിഴൽ പോലെയത്രേ; യാതൊരു സ്ഥിരതയുമില്ല.

for, sojourners, are we before thee, and strangers, like all our fathers, —like a shadow, are our days upon the earth, and there is no hope.

16 ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തിന്നായി നിനക്കു ഒരു ആലയം പണിവാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ ശേഖരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ഈ സംഗ്രഹമെല്ലാം നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നുള്ളതു; സകലവും നിനക്കുള്ളതാകുന്നു.

O Yahweh our God, all this abundance which we have prepared, to build thee a house for thy holy Name, out of thine own hand, it is, and, thine, is the whole.

17 എന്റെ ദൈവമേ; നീ ഹൃദയത്തെ ശോധനചെയ്തു പരമാർത്ഥതയിൽ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു; ഞാനോ എന്റെ ഹൃദയപരമാർത്ഥതയോടെ ഇവയെല്ലാം മനഃപൂർവ്വമായി തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇപ്പോൾ ഇവിടെ കൂടിയിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ജനം നിനക്കു മനഃപൂർവ്വമായി തന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു ഞാൻ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ കണ്ടുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

But I know, O my God, that, thou, art proving the heart, and, with uprightness, wilt thou be pleased, —I, in the uprightness of my heart, have willingly offered all these things, now, therefore, thy people who are found here, have I seen with joy, offering willingly unto thee.

18 ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെയും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെയും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ഈ വിചാരങ്ങളും ഭാവവും എന്നേക്കും കാത്തു അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ നിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിക്കേണമേ.

O Yahweh, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, oh guard this age-abidingly, as the devised purpose of the heart of thy people, —and establish thou their heart, unto thyself.

19 എന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോൻ നിന്റെ കല്പനകളും സാക്ഷ്യങ്ങളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പണിയേണ്ടതിന്നായി ഞാൻ വട്ടംകൂട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്ന മന്ദിരം തീർപ്പാൻ ഇവയെല്ലാം നിവർത്തിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും അവന്നു ഒരു ഏകാഗ്രഹൃദയം നല്കേണമേ.

Also, unto Solomon my son, give thou an undivided heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, —to do the whole, and to build the palace for which I have prepared.

20 പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് സർവ്വസഭയോടും: ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ സഭ മുഴുവനും തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തി യഹോവയെയും രാജാവിനെയും വണങ്ങി നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

Then said David, unto all the convocation, Bless, I beseech you, Yahweh your God. So all the convocation blessed Yahweh, the God of their fathers, and did bend their heads and bow themselves down unto Yahweh, and unto the king;

21 പിന്നെ അവർ യഹോവെക്കു ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളെ അർപ്പിച്ചു; പിറ്റെന്നാൾ യഹോവെക്കു ഹോമയാഗമായി ആയിരം കാളയെയും ആയിരം ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും ആയിരം കുഞ്ഞാടിനെയും അവയുടെ പാനീയയാഗങ്ങളെയും എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിന്നും വേണ്ടി അനവധി ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളെയും കഴിച്ചു.

and sacrificed unto Yahweh sacrifices, and caused to go up ascending-offerings unto Yahweh, on the morrow of that day, a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, a thousand young sheep, and the drink-offerings thereof, —and sacrifices in abundance, for all Israel.

22 അവർ അവന്നു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ മഹാസന്തോഷത്തോടെ ഭക്ഷിച്ചു പാനംചെയ്തു; ദാവീദിന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോനെ രണ്ടാം പ്രാവശ്യം രാജാവാക്കി; അവനെ യഹോവെക്കു പ്രഭുവായിട്ടും സാദോക്കിനെ പുരോഹിതനായിട്ടും അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്തു.

And so they did eat and drink before Yahweh on that day, with great joy, —and they, the second time, made Solomon son of David king, and anointed him unto Yahweh to be chief ruler, and Zadok to be priest.

23 അങ്ങനെ ശലോമോൻ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്നു പകരം യഹോവയുടെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ രാജാവായിരുന്നു കൃതാർത്ഥനായി. യിസ്രായേലൊക്കെയും അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചു.

So Solomon took his seat upon the throne of Yahweh, as king, instead of David his father, and prospered, —and all Israel, hearkened unto him.

24 സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും വീരന്മാരും ദാവീദ്‌രാജാവിന്റെ സകലപുത്രന്മാരും ശലോമോൻരാജാവിന്നു കീഴ്പെട്ടു.

And, all the rulers, and the heroes, yea moreover all the sons of King David, gave a hand, under Solomon the king.

25 യിസ്രായേലൊക്കെയും കാൺകെ യഹോവ ശലോമോനെ അത്യന്തം മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി, യിസ്രായേലിൽ അവന്നു മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഒരു രാജാവിന്നും ലഭിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്ത രാജമഹിമയും അവന്നു നല്കി.

And Yahweh magnified Solomon, exceedingly, before the eyes of all Israel, —and gave unto him a royal majesty, that had not been on any king before him, over Israel.

26 ഇങ്ങനെ യിശ്ശായിയുടെ മകനായ ദാവീദ് എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിന്നും രാജാവായി വാണിരുന്നു.

Thus, David son of Jesse, reigned over all Israel;

27 അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിനെ വാണകാലം നാല്പതു സംവത്സരം ആയിരുന്നു; അവൻ ഏഴു സംവത്സരം ഹെബ്രോനിലും മുപ്പത്തിമൂന്നു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിലും വാണു.

and, the days that he reigned over Israel, were forty years, —in Hebron reigned he seven years, and in Jerusalem, reigned he, thirty-three.

28 അവൻ നന്നാ വയസ്സുചെന്നവനും ആയുസ്സും ധനവും മാനവും തികഞ്ഞവനുമായി മരിച്ചു; അവന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോൻ അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.

And he died in a good old age, satisfied with days, riches and honour, —and Solomon his son reigned in his stead.

29 എന്നാൽ ദാവീദ്‌ രാജാവിന്റെ ആദ്യന്തവൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവന്റെ രാജ്യഭാരം ഒക്കെയും അവന്റെ പരാക്രമപ്രവൃത്തികളും അവന്നും യിസ്രായേലിന്നും അന്യദേശങ്ങളിലെ സകലരാജ്യങ്ങൾക്കും ഭവിച്ച കാലഗതികളും

Now, the acts of David the king, first and last, behold them! written in the records of Samuel the seer, and in the records of Nathan the prophet, and in the records of Gad the seer:

30 ദർശകനായ ശമൂവേലിന്റെ വൃത്താന്തത്തിലും നാഥാൻപ്രവാചകന്റെ പുസ്തകത്തിലും ദർശകനായ ഗാദിന്റെ വൃത്താന്തത്തിലും എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

with all his reign, and his might, —and the times which passed over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the lands.
