< Apokalypsy 18 >
1 Añe izay le nahatrea anjely tovo’e nizotso boak’ andindìñe añe aman-dily ra’elahy vaho nihazavae’ ty enge’e ty tane toy.
After this I saw another angel, descending from Heaven, invested with great authority; and the earth was illuminated by his splendour.
2 Le nikoihe’e am-piarañanañañe mafe ty hoe: Rotsake! Rotsake t’i Babolone Jabajaba! ie fa akiban-kokolampa henaneo, naho lakato’ ze fonga anga-draty, vaho zoho’ ze hene voroñe maleotse naho mampangorý.
With a mighty voice he cried — ‘She has fallen! She has fallen — Babylon the Great! She has become an abode of demons, a stronghold of every wicked spirit, a stronghold of every foul and hateful bird.
3 Fa hene ninoñe amy divain-kadraon- kakarapiloa’ey ze kilakila ondaty. naho fonga niolots’ ama’e o mpanjaka’ ty tane toio, vaho nitampe-draha irieñe o mpanao balibali’ ty tane toio amy halosoran-katea-mena’ey.
For, after drinking the maddening wine of her licentiousness, all the nations have fallen; while all the kings of the earth have had licentious intercourse with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich through the excess of her luxury.’
4 Tsinanoko ka ty fiarañanañañe boak’ andindìñe ey nanao ty hoe: Miengà ama’e ry ondatiko, tsy hitraok’ amo hakeo’eo, naho tsy handrambe o angorosi’eo;
Then I heard another voice from Heaven saying — ‘Come out of her, my People, that you may not participate in her sins, and that you may not suffer from the Curses inflicted upon her.
5 fa mitoabotse pak’andindìñe ey o tahi’eo vaho tiahin’ Añahare o sata-rati’eo.
For her sins are heaped up to the heavens, and God has not forgotten her misdeeds.
6 Ondroho ama’e mira ami’ty natolo’e; le avaho ama’e in-droe’ o fitoloña’eo; vaho trobotrobò in-droe i fitovy nilaroe’ey.
Pay her back the treatment with which she has treated you; yes, repay twice over what her actions deserve; in the cup which she mixed for you, mix for her as much again;
7 Ampanahafo ami’ty nienge’e naho ty fierañerañan-tro niaiña’e, ty samporerahañe naho anahelo hatolotse aze. Inao ty fisengean-tro’e: Miambesatse raho fa mpanjaka-rakemba, Tsy vantotse, vaho tsy hahatrea fioremeñañe.
for her self-glorification and her luxury, give her now an equal measure of torture and misery. In her heart she says ‘I sit here a queen; no widow am I; I shall never know misery.’
8 Aa le hivovo ama’e añ’ andro raike o hankà’eo: ty angorosy, ty hòntoke, vaho ty kerè, le ho hotomomohe’ ty afo; amy te maozatse i Talè Andrianañahare mizaka azey.
Therefore in one day shall these Curses befall her — death, misery, and famine, and she shall be utterly consumed by fire; for mighty is the Lord God who condemned her.
9 Ie isa’ o mpanjaka’ ty tane toio, ie nifandia-tihy ama’e naho ni-mpitraok’ amy fiagaregaña’ey, ty hatoe’ i fanodorañ’ azey, le hangololoike ty tañy naho handala,
All the kings of the earth who had licentious intercourse with her and shared her luxury will weep and lament over her, when they see the smoke from the burning city,
10 hizorazora eroan-koe am-pirevendreveñañe i sarerahañ’ aze, hanao ty hoe: Hoy hoy abey, Ry rova jabajaba! I Babolone rovan-kaozarañey! Ie ora raik’ avao te pok’eo ty fizakañ’azo.
while they stand at a distance, horrified at her torture, and cry — ‘Alas! Alas! Great City! O mighty City of Babylon! In a single hour your judgment fell.
11 Mirovetse naho mandala aze o mpampibalibali’ ty tane toio, amy te tsy eo ka ty hikalo o kilanka’ iareoo:
And the merchants of the earth weep and wail over her, because no longer does any one buy their cargoes —
12 entañe volamena naho volafoty naho vatosoa naho hange, le leny marerarera naho malo-mavo, le lande naho mena mañabarà, naho ze karazan-katae malàñe, naho ze fanake aman-tsifan-drimo, naho ze fanake aman-katae sarotse, le torisìke naho viñe naho vato sanga;
their cargoes of gold, or silver, or precious stones, or pearls, or fine linen, or purple robes, or silk, or scarlet cloth; nor their many scented woods; nor their many articles of ivory; nor their many articles of choicest wood, or brass, or iron, or marble;
13 le kanely naho fampafiriañe naho soli-pañosorañe naho rame le divay naho solik’ oliva, le mona’e naho vare-bolè le añombe naho añondry; le soavala naho sarete le ondevo vaho fiai’ ondaty.
nor their cinnamon, or spice, or incense, or perfumes, or frankincense, or wine, or oil, or fine flour, or wheat, or cattle, or sheep; nor their horses, or chariots, or slaves; nor the bodies and souls of men.
14 Nisitak’ azo o voka-tsoa nirìen-tro’oo, naho nihànkañe ama’o, tsy ho isa’o ka ze atao tave naho o raha fiain-taneo.
The fruit that your soul craved is no longer within your reach, and all dainties and luxuries are lost to you, never to be found again.’
15 Hañarafiake eñe o nanao balibalike amy raha rezaio, o nimpañaleale ty ama’eo, am-pirevendreveñañe amy halovilovia’ey, le hangoihoy ty rovetse vaho handala
The merchants who sold these things, and grew rich by her, will stand at a distance weeping and wailing, horrified at her torture, and crying —
16 ty hoe: Hoy! Hoy! i rova ni-ra’elahiy, nisaron-deny marerarera malo-mavo naho mena mañabarañe, vaho niragorago volamena naho vatosoa vaho hange!
‘Alas! Alas! Great City! O City clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet cloth! O City adorned with gold ornaments, and precious stones, and pearls!
17 fa ora raik’ avao ty nahakafoake o vara beio! Nitrobàke eñe ze fonga mpinjon-dakañe naho ze hene mpañavelo an-tsambo naho o mpiandriakeo naho ze fonga mitoloñe amy riakey,
In a single hour your vast wealth vanished.’ Every ship’s captain and all who sail to any port, and sailors, and all who get their living from the sea, stood at a distance,
18 songa nipazapazake ty hoe t’ie nanjò ty hatoe’ i sinodotsey: Aia ka ty hañirinkiriñe i rova jabajaba zay?
and seeing the smoke from the burning city, cried — ‘What city can compare with the Great City?’
19 le nampibobò deboke añambone’e, naho nangoihoy ty rovetse vaho nitoreo ty hoe: Hoy! Hoy, I rova foloaingitrokey! ze nampañaleale ze nanan-tsambo an-driak’ añe añamy vara’ey! amy te ora raik’ avao ty nampikoahañ’ aze!
They threw dust on their heads, and, as they wept and wailed, they cried — ‘Alas! Alas! Great City! All who have ships on the sea grew rich through her magnificence. In a single hour it has vanished.’
20 Irebeho ry likerañeo! naho ry noro’e naho Firàheñe vaho mpitokio! Inahareo ro nizakàn’ Añahare aze.
Rejoice over her, O Heaven, and People of Christ, and Apostles, and Prophets, for God has avenged you on her!
21 Ie amy zao, rinambe’ ty anjely fanalolahy ty vato bey hoe vato-fandisanañe jabajaba, le navokovoko’e an-driake eñe nanao ty hoe: Izay ro handretsahañe i Babolone rova jabajabay ambane tsy ho oniñe ka.
Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and threw it into the sea, crying — ‘So shall Babylon, the Great City, be violently overthrown, never more to be seen.
22 Le tsy ho janjiñeñe ama’o ao ka ty feo’ o mpititike marovanio, naho o sairio, naho o mpitioke soly naho antsivao, naho tsy ho trea ama’o ka ze mpitsene an-satam-pitàñ’inoñ’inoñe, vaho tsy ho janjiñeñe ama’o ao ka ty fikosaokosaom-bato fandisañe.
No more shall the music of harpers, or minstrels, or flute players, or trumpeters be heard in you, no more shall any worker, skilled in any art, be found in you; no more shall the sound of a mill be heard in you;
23 le tsy hiiloilo ama’o ao ka ty hazavàm-pailo, mbore tsy ho janjiñeñe ama’o ao ka ty fifañòhahohà’ i engavaoy naho i mañengay; ni-fanalolahy an-tane-bey atoy o mpanao balibalik’ ama’oo, amy te nampikalitahe’ o famoreha’oo o fifeheañeo,
no more shall the light of a lamp shine in you; no more shall the voices of bridegroom and bride be heard in you. Your merchants were the great men of the earth, for all the nations were deceived by your magical charms.
24 naho ama’e ao ty nahatendrehañe ty lio’ o mpitokio naho o noro’eo, vaho ze hene vinono an-tane atoy.
Yes, and in her was to be found the blood of the Prophets and of Christ’s People, and of all who have been put to death upon the earth.’
