< Salamo 91 >

1 I mpimoneñe am-pipalira’ i Andindimoneñeiy, ty hitoetse añ’alo’ i El-Sadai ao,
He who is dwelling In the secret place of the Most High, In the shade of the Mighty lodgeth habitually,
2 Hanoako ty hoe t’Iehovà: Ty fiampirako, ty rova fitsolohako, i Andrianañahare fiatoakoy.
He is saying of Jehovah, 'My refuge, and my bulwark, my God, I trust in Him,'
3 Ie ty mpañaha azo boak’ am-bitsom-pamandri-boroñe ao, naho boak’ amy biloka mahahomakey.
For He delivereth thee from the snare of a fowler, From a calamitous pestilence.
4 Haholonkolo’e am-bolon-ela’e ao irehe, ambane’ o ela’eo ty hipalira’o; fikalan-defo naho fikala-meso ty hatò’e.
With His pinion He covereth thee over, And under His wings thou dost trust, A shield and buckler [is] His truth.
5 Tsy hahahembañ’ azo ty hetraketrak’ an-kaleñe, ndra ty ana-pale mihirirìñe an-tariñandroke.
Thou art not afraid of fear by night, Of arrow that flieth by day,
6 Ndra ty kiria mitingañe añ’ieñe ao ndra ty angorosy mamotsake naho antoandro.
Of pestilence in thick darkness that walketh, Of destruction that destroyeth at noon,
7 Arivo ty mete hikorovok’ añ’ ila’o eo, le rai-ale ty am-pitàn-kavana’o eo, f’ie tsy hitotok’ azo.
There fall at thy side a thousand, And a myriad at thy right hand, Unto thee it cometh not nigh.
8 O fihaino’oo avao ro hisamba, hahaisake ty fandilovañe o lo-tserekeo.
But with thine eyes thou lookest, And the reward of the wicked thou seest,
9 Amy te Iehovà, fitsolohako, i Andindimoneñey, ty nanoe’o fimoneñañe,
(For Thou, O Jehovah, [art] my refuge, ) The Most High thou madest thy habitation.
10 Tsy hidoiñe ama’o ty hankàñe, tsy hitotofan-angorosy ty akiba’o,
Evil happeneth not unto thee, And a plague cometh not near thy tent,
11 Fa hafanto’e ama’o o anjeli’eo, hañambeñe azo amo lia’o iabio;
For His messengers He chargeth for thee, To keep thee in all thy ways,
12 hañotrotroa’e am-pità’e ao, tsy mone hadasi’o ami’ty vato ty fandia’o.
On the hands they bear thee up, Lest thou smite against a stone thy foot.
13 Ho lià’o ty liona naho ty fandrefeala; ho hitsakitsahe’o ambanem-pandia’o eo ty liona-tora’e naho i mereñey.
On lion and asp thou treadest, Thou trampest young lion and dragon.
14 Kanao ifahara’e koko, ho hahako, havotrako an-kaboañe ey amy te fohi’e ty añarako.
Because in Me he hath delighted, I also deliver him — I set him on high, Because he hath known My name.
15 Ho kanjie’e, le ho toiñeko; hindrezako te am-poheke, ho votsorako vaho ho tolorako asiñe.
He doth call Me, and I answer him, I [am] with him in distress, I deliver him, and honour him.
16 Heneñeko halava’ havelon-dre; vaho hampahaoniñeko aze ty fandrombahako.
With length of days I satisfy him, And I cause him to look on My salvation!
