< Salamo 9 >
1 Rengeko an-kaliforan-troke irehe r’Iehovà; ho talilieko iaby o halatsa’oo.
Yahweh, I will praise you with all of my inner being. I will tell [others] about all the wonderful things that you have done.
2 Hifaleako naho hirebehako, ho saboeko i tahina’oy, ry Andindimoneñe.
I will sing to celebrate what you [MTY], who are much greater than all other gods, [have done].
3 Ie mimpoly o rafelahikoo, le mikorovoke vaho mibaibay añ’atrefa’o ey.
When my enemies realize [that you are very powerful], they stumble, and then they are killed.
4 Fa nitohañe’o i naseseko mahitiy, ihe miambesatse am-piambesa’o eo, mizaka an-kavantañañe.
You sat on your throne to judge people, and you have judged fairly/justly concerning me.
5 Nendaha’o o kilakila ‘ndatio, rinotsa’o o lo-tserekeo; finaopao’o kitro katroke ty añara’ iareo.
You rebuked the [people of other] nations and you have gotten rid of the wicked people; you have erased their names forever.
6 O ry rafelahio, fa nampigadoñeñe an-koak’ao kitro katroke; fa nombota’o o rovao, fa momoke ty fitiahiañe iareo.
Our enemies have disappeared; you destroyed their cities, and people do not even remember them any more.
7 Toe am-piambesa’e eo nainai’e t’Iehovà, fa nihentseña’e ho an-jaka i fiambesa’ey;
But Yahweh rules forever. He judges [people while he sits] on his throne to judge people,
8 an-katò ty fizaka’e ty voatse toy, ho zakae’e an-kahiti’e ondatio.
and he will judge [all the people in] [SYN] the world justly; he will judge the people [of all nations] fairly [DOU].
9 Kijoly abo te amo forekekeñeo t’Iehovà, fitsolohañe an-tsan-kasotriañe;
Yahweh will be a refuge for those who are oppressed; [yes, he will be like] a shelter for them when they have trouble.
10 Hiantok’ azo o mahafohiñe ty tahina’oo, amy te tsy aforintse’o ze mipay Azo, ry Iehovà,
Those who know Yahweh [MTY] trust in him; he never abandons those who come to him ([for help/to worship him]).
11 Misaboa am’ Iehovà ry mpimoneñe e Tsiône ao! tseizo am’ ondatio o fitoloña’eo!
Yahweh rules from Zion [Hill]; praise him while you sing to him. Tell [the people of all] the nations the [marvelous] things that he has done.
12 Toe ihaoñe’ i Mpamale Fatey; tsy haliño’e ty fikoiaha’ o mpisotrio.
He does not forget [to punish] those who have murdered others; and he will not ignore people who are crying because they are suffering.
13 Isoho iraho, ry Iehovà! Vazohò ty haoreako am-pità’ o malaiñe ahio; Ihe Mpañonjoñe ahy boak’ an- dalam-bein-kavilasy ao,
Yahweh, be merciful to me! Look at the ways that my enemies have injured me. Do not allow me to die [because of these injuries].
14 ho talilieko iaby ty enge’o amo lalam-bei’ i anak-ampela’ i Tsiôneio, hirebehako o fandrombaha’oo.
I want to live in order that I can praise you at the gates of Jerusalem [MTY] and to rejoice because you rescued me.
15 Nijoroboñe amy koboñe hinali’iereoy o fifeheañeo; finandri’ ty harato naeta’iareo o fandia’iareoo.
[It is as though] the [wicked people of many] nations have dug a pit for me to fall into [MET], but they have fallen into that same pit. [It is as if] they spread out a net to catch me [MET], but their feet have been caught in that same net.
16 Fa nampandrendre-batañe t’Iehovà fa nametsake zaka: tsepaheñ’ amo satan-taña’eo avao ty lo-tsereke. [mahantseñantseñe, Selà]
Because of what you have done, people know that you decide matters [fairly/justly], but [you allow] wicked people to be trapped by the same evil things that they themselves do.
17 Himpoly mb’an-tsikeokoek’ ao o tsivokatseo, ze kilakila’ ondaty mandikok’ an’Andrianañahare. (Sheol )
Wicked people will all [die and] be buried in their graves, and [their spirits] will go to be with all those who have (forgotten about/rejected) you. (Sheol )
18 Fe tsy ho haliño nainai’e o rarakeo vaho tsy ho modo kitro añ’afe’e ty fisalalà’ o mpisotrio.
But you will not forget those who are needy/poor; what they confidently expect will certainly happen.
19 Miongaha ry Iehovà, ko anga’o handrekets’ ondatio; Ho zakaeñe am-pivazohoa’o eo o fifeheañeo!
Yahweh, arise and judge the [wicked] people of the nations; do not allow them to think that [because they are strong] they will never be punished.
20 Apoho am’ iareo ty fangebahebahañe, ry Iehovà ampahafohino o kilakila’ndatio t’ie ondaty avao! Selà
Yahweh, teach them to be terrified about you. Cause them to know that they are merely human beings.
