< Salamo 8 >

1 Ry Iehovà, Talè’ay, Oakitia! ty havolonahe’ i Tahina’oy manitsike ty tane toy, napò’o ambonen-dikerañe eñe ty enge’o!
Yahweh, our Lord, people all over the world know that you [MTY] are very great! Your glory reaches up higher than the heavens!
2 Boak’am-bava’ o ajaja-menao naho o ajaja minonoo ty nampijadoña’o haozarañe, ty amo malaiñe Azoo, hampiànjiña’o o rafelahio naho o mpamale-fateo.
You have taught little children and infants to praise you; they cause your enemies and those who try to (get revenge on/get rid of) you to be silent.
3 Ie haraharaeko o likera’oo, ty fitoloñan-drambom-pità’o, i volañey naho o vasiañe najado’oo.
When I look up at the sky [at night], and see the things that you have made— the moon and the stars that you have set in place—
4 Ino ondatio, te itsakorea’o? Naho ty ana-ondaty, te haoñe’o?
it is amazing [to me] that [RHQ] you think about people, that you are concerned about [us] humans!
5 Fe nanoe’o ambanevane’ o anjelio, naho sinabàka’o engeñe naho asiñe.
You made the angels in heaven to be only a little more important than we are; you caused us to be like kings [MET] and you gave us splendor and honor [DOU]!
6 Nampifehè’o aze o tolom-pità’oo; kila narongo’o ambanem-pandia’e ao,
You put us in charge of everything that you made; you gave us authority over all things—
7 Ze hene añondry naho añombe; eka, o biby an-kivokeo:
the sheep and the cattle, and even the wild animals,
8 O voron-dikerañeo, o fian-driakeo, ze misoroke o lalan-driakeo.
the birds, the fish, and everything [else] that swims in the seas.
9 Ry Iehovà, Talè’ay, Oasirity! ty volonahen-Tahina’o manitsike ty tane toy.
Yahweh, our Lord, people all over the world know that you [MTY] are very great!
