< Salamo 73 >
1 Toe soaen’ Añahare t’Israele naho o malio añ’arofoo.
“BOOK III. A psalm of Asaph.” Truly God is good to Israel, —To those who are pure in heart.
2 Aa naho izaho, didý tsy ho nipolatitse o tombokoo; ho nidorasitse o liakoo.
Yet my feet almost gave way; My steps had well nigh slipped:
3 Ie nitsikirike o mpievoñevoñeo, naho nitreako ty havokara’ o lo-tserekeo,
For I was envious of the proud, When I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
4 Ie tsy manaintaiñe te mihomake, jangañe ka ty sandri’ iareo.
For they have no pains even to their death; Their bodies are in full health.
5 Tsy ampoheke manahake ondatio; mbore tsy tokoen-draha manahake ondaty ila’eo.
They have not the woes of other men, Neither are they smitten like other men.
6 Aa le miravake fiebotseborañe am-bozo’eo; manaroñ’ iareo hoe sikiñe o hasiahañe mandoviakeo.
Therefore pride encircleth their neck as a collar; Violence covereth them as a garment.
7 Mampibotiritse o fihaino’eo ty solike, etsake naho tampe-draha-irieñe ty tro’e.
From their bosom issueth their iniquity; The designs of their hearts burst forth.
8 Manivetive iereo, mikinia famorekekeañ’ an-karatiañe.
They mock, and speak of malicious oppression; Their words are haughty;
9 Fa najado’ iareo hiatreatre o likerañeo o falie’ iareoo, mikariokariok’ an-tane atoy o famele’ iareoo.
They stretch forth their mouth to the heavens, And their tongue goeth through the earth;
10 Aa le mimpoly atoy ondati’eo, naho genohe’ iereo i rano era’ey.
Therefore his people walk in their ways, And there drink from full fountains.
11 Le hoe iereo: Aia te haharofoanan’ Añahare? mahilala hao i Andindimoneñey?
And they say, “How doth God know? How can there be knowledge with the Most High?”
12 Inay ie, o lo-tserekeo— ie mierañerañe manombo vara avao.
Behold these are the ungodly! Yet they are ever prosperous; they heap up riches.
13 Toe tsy vente’e ty nañalioveko ty troko; naho nanasa tañañe an-kalio-tahiñe.
Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain; In vain have I washed my hands in innocence.
14 Nalovilovy lomoñandro iraho; vaho nililoveñe boa-maraiñe.
For every day have I been smitten; Every morn have I been chastened.
15 Lehe ataoko te, zao ty ho volañeko; hete! tsy ho nahity amo tariran’ ana’oo.
If I should resolve to speak like them, Surely I should be treacherous to the family of thy children.
16 Fa ie nitsakoreako, haharendreke o raha zao, le nihamokorañe o masokoo,
So, when I studied to know this, It was painful to my eyes;
17 Ampara’ te niziliheko an-toen’Añahare miavake ao; vaho nahaisake ty figadoña’ iareo.
Until I went into the sanctuaries of God, And considered what was their end.
18 Toe apo’o an-tane malama iereo; ampikorovohe’o mb’an-karotsahañe ao.
Behold! thou hast set them on slippery places; Thou castest them down into unseen pits.
19 Hoke! akore ty fiantoa’ iareo anianike, Fa binotsa’ ty firevendreveñañe.
How are they brought to desolation in a moment, And utterly consumed with sudden destruction!
20 Hoe nofy t’ie tsekake; ry Talè, ie mivañon-dRehe le ho heje’o vintañ’ iareo.
As a dream when one awaketh, Thou, O Lord! when thou awakest, wilt make their vain show a derision.
21 Fa nikokentrekokentreñe ty troko naho niteveke ty an-tsapavoako ao,
When my heart was vexed And I was pierced in my reins,
22 Akore ty hanèko naho ty habahimoako, hoe biby añatrefa’o eo.
Then was I stupid and without understanding; I was like one of the brutes before thee.
23 Fe mpiama’o nainai’e iraho; rinambe’o ty tañako havana,
Yet am I ever under thy care; By my right hand thou dost hold me up.
24 Hiaoloa’o ami’ty fanoroa’o, vaho ho rambese’o mb’añ’engeñe mb’eo.
Thou wilt guide me with thy counsel, And at last receive me in glory.
25 Ia ro ahiko an-dikerañe ao, naho tsy Ihe? le tsy amam-pisalalàko an-tane atoy naho tsy Ihe.
Whom have I in heaven but thee, And whom on earth do I love in comparison with thee?
26 Milesa ty nofoko naho o ovakoo, fa i Andrianañahare ro haozaran- troko naho ty anjarako nainai’e.
Though my flesh and my heart fail, God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
27 Toe hihomake ze lavits’ Azo; songa aitoa’o ze miamboho ama’o hañarapiloa’e.
For, lo! they who are far from thee perish; Thou destroyest all who estrange themselves from thee.
28 Fe soa ho ahy ty fañarineako aman’Añahare, fipalirako t’i Iehovà Talè, hataliliko iaby o tolon-draha’oo.
But it is good for me to draw near to God; I put my trust in the Lord Jehovah, That I may declare all thy works.
