< Salamo 34 >

1 Andriañeko an-tsà an-tsà t’Iehovà, am-bavako ao nainai’e ty fandrengeañ’ aze.
Of David, when he feigned madness in the presence of Abimelech, who drove him away, and he left. I will bless the Lord at all times, in my mouth will his praise be forever.
2 Mirenge am’ Iehovà ty troko; ie ho janjiñe’ o tretram-poo le hifalea’e.
In the Lord will my heart make her boast, the humble will hear and be glad.
3 Antao hañonjoñe Iehovà, hitrao-pibango i Tahina’ey.
O magnify the Lord with me and let us extol his name together.
4 Nitsoeheko t’Iehovà, le tinoi’e, fonga nafaha’e amako ty fangebahebako.
I sought the Lord, and, in answer, he saved me from all my terrors.
5 Niandra ama’e iereo le niloeloe, tsy ho kolopofen-kameñarañe ka ty tarehe’ iareo.
Look to him and you will be radiant, with faces unashamed.
6 Nitoreo ty rarake, naho nijanjiñ’ aze t’Iehovà, vaho rinomba’e amo hasotria’e iabio.
Here is one who was crushed, but cried and was heard by the Lord, and brought safe out of every trouble.
7 Mitobe mañohoke o mpañeveñe ama’eo ty anjeli’ Iehovà, vaho haha’e.
The Lord’s angel encamps about those who fear him, and rescues them.
8 Tsopeho vaho mahaisaha te soa t’Iehovà; fale t’indaty mitsolok’ ama’e!
O taste and see that the Lord is good, happy those who take refuge in him.
9 Mañeveña am’ Iehovà, ry navahe’eo! amy te tampe-draha irieñe ze mañeveñ’ ama’e.
Fear the Lord, all his people, for they who fear him lack nothing.
10 Mete mililitse vaho mifeake ty kerè o liona tora’eo; fe tsy ho po-kasoa o mitsoek’ Iehovào.
Even young lions may be poor and hungry, but those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing.
11 Mb’etoa, ry anake, tsendreño; hatoroko anahareo ty fañeveñañe am’ Iehovà.
Come, children, listen to me. I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12 Ia t’indaty misalala ho veloñe, naho mpitea andro, hahaisaha’e ty hasoa?
Which of you is desirous of life, loves many and happy days?
13 Afofio ami’ty raty ty famele’o, naho o soñi’oo tsy hivolam-pìtake.
Then guard your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.
14 Iholiaro ty raty, le anò ty soa; mitsoeha filongoañe—le heaño.
Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15 Miatreke o vantañeo ty fihaino’ Iehovà, naho o fitoreo’eo o ravembia’eo.
The eyes of the Lord are towards the righteous, his ears are towards their cry for help.
16 Atreatrè’ Iehovà an-daharañe o mpanao ratio; aitoa’e an-tane atoy ty fitiahiañe iareo.
The Lord sets his face against those who do evil, to root their memory out of the earth.
17 Mikaike, le mijanjiñe t’Iehovà, ie haha’e amo hasotriañe iabio.
When righteous cry, they are heard by the Lord, and he saves them from all their distresses.
18 Marine’ ty mikoretse añ’arofo t’Iehovà, vaho rombahe’e o demok’ an-trok’aoo.
The Lord is near to the broken-hearted, he helps those whose spirit is crushed.
19 Maro ty mañembetse o vañoñeo, fe avotso’ Iehovà ama’e iaby.
Many misfortunes befall the righteous, but the Lord delivers them out of them all.
20 Ambena’e iaby o taola’eo, leo raike tsy rifotse.
He guards all their bones, none are broken.
21 Havetra’ ty haratiañe ty lo-tsereke, vaho hafàtse ze malaiñe o vantañeo.
Misfortune will slay the ungodly; those who hate the righteous are doomed.
22 Jebañe’ Iehovà ty fiai’ o mpitoro’eo, leo raik’ amo mitsolok’ ama’eo tsy hafàtse.
The Lord ransoms the life of his servants, and none will be doomed who takes refuge in him.
