< Salamo 33 >
1 Mirebeha am’Iehovà, ry vantañeo, toe mañeva o vañoñeo ty mandrenge.
Let those who do good shout for joy—those who live right should praise him!
2 Andriaño ami’ty marovany t’Iehovà, rengeo an-tsabo, mititiha folo-taly.
Praise the Lord with the lyre, play music to him on the ten-stringed harp.
3 Isabò sabo vao; ititiho am-pahimbañañe, am-pipoñafan-drebeke.
Sing a new song to him; play your instruments well and shout for joy.
4 Mahity ty tsara’ Iehovà, hene am-pigahiñañe o fitoloña’eo
For the word of the Lord is true, and he is trustworthy in everything he does.
5 No’e ty havantañañe naho ty hatò: àtseke ty fiferenaiña’ Iehovà’ ty tane toy.
He loves all that is good and right; the earth is full of the Lord's trustworthy love.
6 Ty tsara’ Iehovà ro nanoeñe i likerañey; ty kofom-palie’e i valobohò’ey.
The Lord spoke the word and the heavens were made; his mouth breathed all the stars into existence.
7 Atonto’e am-botry o ranon-driakeo; ahaja’e an-driha ao o lalekeo.
He gathers the waters of the sea together, he keeps the ocean depths in store.
8 Mirevendreveña am’ Iehovà ry tane toy; kila mañeveña ama’e ry mpimone’ ty voatse toy.
Let all the earth show reverence to the Lord; let all the world's inhabitants be in awe of him.
9 Tsinara’e le nifonitse; nandily, vaho nijadoñe.
For he spoke and the world came into existence; he gave the command and it was created.
10 Koahe’ Iehovà ty fikinia’ o fifeheañeo; afofi’e ty fikilila’ ondatio;
The Lord foils the decisions of the nations, he frustrates the plans of the peoples,
11 Mijadoñe nainai’e ty famerea’ Iehovà, pak’an-tariran-tariratse o fisafirin’ arofo’e.
But the Lord's plan stands forever—what he decides lasts for all generations.
12 Haha ty fifeheañe naho Iehovà ro Andrianañahare’e, ondaty jinobo’e ho lova’eo.
Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he has chosen as specially belonging to him.
13 Mivazòho boak’ an-dikerañe añe t’Iehovà; oni’e iaby o ana’ondatio.
The Lord looks from heaven and sees the whole of humanity,
14 Jilove’e boak’ añ’akiba’e ao ze hene mpimoneñ’ an-tane atoy;
from his throne he watches all those who live on earth.
15 I mpitsene ty arofo’ iareo iaby, sindre aharofoana’e ty fitoloña’e.
He created their minds, so he knows everything they do.
16 Tsy ty fitozantoza’ i màroy ty maharombake i mpanjakay; tsy i haozara’e ra’elahiy ty mahavotsotse ty fanalolahy.
Even the greatest army cannot save a king; the greatest strength cannot save a warrior.
17 Tsy jefa’e t’ie miato aman-tsoavalan’aly ho fiarovañe; tsy ty hara’elahin-kafatrara’e ty hahafipolitira’e.
Don't deceive yourself: a warhorse can't give you victory—even its incredible strength won't save you.
18 Inao, te itoliham-pihaino’ Iehovà o mañeveñe ama’eo, o mitamà i fiferenaiña’eio,
The Lord watches over those who reverently follow him, those who place their hope in his trustworthy love
19 ho votsora’e ty fiai’ iareo tsy hihomake, vaho ho velome’e an-tsan-kerè.
to save them from death and to keep them alive when famine strikes.
20 Mandiñe Iehovà o tron-tikañeo; Ie ty mpañimba antika naho ty fikalan-defon-tika.
We place our confidence in the Lord; he is our help and our defender.
21 Ama’e ty firebehan’ arofon-tika, fiatoan-tika i tahina’e masiñey.
We are so happy about him, for we trust in his holy character.
22 Ho ama’ay abey ty fiferenaiña’o ry Iehovà, fa mpitamà Azo.
Lord, let your trustworthy love rest upon us as we hope in you.
