< Salamo 2 >

1 Ino ty fidabasida’ o kilakila ondatio, naho ty fikililia’ ondatio raha tsy vente’e.
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 Mijohañe o mpanjaka’ ty tane toio, naho mitrao-kinia o mpifeheo hiatreatre am’ Iehovà naho i Noriza’ey, manao ty hoe:
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, [saying],
3 Antao handrafadrafatse o talirandra’ iareoo, le hahimpan-tika o rohi’ iareoo.
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 Miankahake i mpiambesatse an-dindiñey; mitsikìke iareo t’i Talè.
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
5 Fa ho trevohe’e an-keloke, vaho hampinevenevere’e am-pifombo’e:
Then shall he speak to them in his wrath, and trouble them in his sore displeasure.
6 Toe izaho ty nañoriñe ty Mpanjakako e Tsiône ao amy vohiko miavakey.
Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 Sokireko ho lily: hoe t’Iehovà amako: Anako irehe, anindroany ty nampiareñako azo.
I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said to me, Thou [art] my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Mihalalia amako le hampandovaeko Azo o fifeheañeo, naho ho fanaña’o o olon-taneo.
Ask of me, and I will give [thee] the heathen [for] thy inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth [for] thy possession.
9 Ho pozahe’o am-bodam-by; Hampijeñajeñahe’e hoe siniharam-panao valàñe-tane.
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10 Aa le mahihira ry mpanjakao; Mimetea oke ry mpizaka’ ty tane toio.
Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Toroño am-pañeveñañe t’Iehovà, vaho mirebeha am-pineveneverañe;
Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Ondroho i Anakey tsy mone hiviñera’e, vaho hihomak’ an-dalañe ey nahareo; fa mete hisolebatse aniany ty fifombo’e. Hene haha ze mitsolok’ ama’e.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish [from] the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed [are] all they that put their trust in him.
