< Salamo 19 >
1 Tseize’ i likerañey ty engen’Añahare, misenge o tolom-pità’eo i lañelañey.
For the leader. A psalm of David. The heavens declare God’s glory, the sky tells what his hands have done.
2 Handro an-kandro t’ie midoan-tsaontsy, haleñ’ an-kale te mitaron-kihitse.
Day tells it to day, night reveals it to night,
3 Tsy aman-dañonañe tsy aman-tsara, tsy janjiñeñe o fiarañanaña’eo.
without speaking, without words; without the sound of voices.
4 Fe manitsike ty tane toy o tali’ iareoo, pak’añ’olo-ty voatse toy o talili’eo; napo’e ama’e ao ty kivoho’ i àndroy.
But through all the world their voice carries their words to the ends of the earth. He has pitched a tent for the sun in the sky,
5 Manahak’ i mpañenga miakatse i akiba’ey, mitreñe hoe fanalolahy miherereake an-day.
it comes out like a bridegroom from his bridal chamber, it joyfully runs its course like a hero.
6 Hirik’angadon-dikerañ’eñe i fionjona’ey naho ty fiaria’e pak’ añ’olo’eo, vaho tsy eo ty mahafietake amy hatrovoha’ey.
From one end of the heavens it rises, and round it runs to the other, and nothing hides from its heat.
7 Ki’e t’i Hà’ Iehovà, mañavao ty haveloñe; to ty taro’ Iehovà, mampahihitse ty sotra;
The law of the Lord is perfect, renewing life. The decrees of the Lord are trusty, making the simple wise.
8 Mahity o fañè’ Iehovào, mampirebek’ arofo; hiringiri’e ty fandilia’ Iehovà, mpañazava fihaino;
The behests of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart. The command of the Lord is pure, giving light to the eyes.
9 Malio ty fañeveñañe am’ Iehovà, tsy mb’ia ho modo; vantañe o fizakà’ Iehovào hene mahity;
The fear of the Lord is clean, it endures forever. The Lord’s judgments are true and right altogether.
10 Mahasinda te amo volamenao, eka ndra volamena maro hiringiri’e; vaho mamy te amo tantele naho papi’e miorikeo;
More precious are they than gold – than fine gold in plenty, and sweeter they are than honey, that drops from the comb.
11 mbore hatahatae’e i mpitoro’oy, ra’elahy ty tambe t’ie oriheñe.
By them is your servant warned; who keeps them has rich reward.
12 Ia ty mahatsikarake o hila’eo? Liovo amo hakeo mietakeo iraho.
Who can know their flaws? Absolve me from those I know not.
13 Afofio amo mpitoro’oo o fisengeañeo, tsy mone hamehe ahy. Halio tahiñe amy zao iraho, vaho ho hahañe ami’ty fiolañe losotse.
Keep your servant from wilful sins – from falling under their sway: then blameless and clear will I be from great offence.
14 Ho no’o añ’atrefa’o abey o fivolam-bavakoo, naho ty fitsakorean-troko ry Iehovà, lamilamiko naho mpijebam-piaiko.
May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing to you, Lord, my rock and redeemer.
