< Salamo 144 >
1 a i Davide Andriañeñe t’Iehovà lamilamiko, mpañoke o tañakoo hialy, ty rambon-tañako hihotakotake,
A psalm of David. Blessed be Yahweh, my rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.
2 i mpiferenaiñe ahy naho rovakoy, ie tambohoko abo naho ty Mpañahañ’ahy, ty kalan-defoko naho fipalirako, mpampiambàne’ ondatikoo amako.
You are my covenant faithfulness and my fortress, my high tower and the one who rescues me, my shield and the one in whom I take refuge, the one who subdues nations under me.
3 O ry Iehovà, inoñ’ ondatio te haoñe’o, naho o ana’ondatio t’ie tsakorè’o?
Yahweh, what is man that you take notice of him or the son of man that you think about him?
4 Fa hoe kofòke t’indaty; talinjo mihelañe o andro’eo.
Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow.
5 Avohoro o likera’oo ry Iehovà le mizotsoa; paoho o vohitseo hahatoeñe.
Cause the sky to sink and come down, Yahweh; touch the mountains and make them smoke.
6 Ahiririño mb’eo ty helatse hampiparatsiahe’o, iraho mb’eo o ana-pale’oo hampibaibay iareo.
Send flashes of lightning and scatter my enemies; shoot your arrows and drive them back in confusion.
7 Ahitsio hirik’añ’abo añe ty fità’o; avotsoro iraho naho hahao amo alon-driake ra’elahio, naho am-pità’ o ambahinio,
Reach out your hand from above; rescue me out of many waters, from the hand of foreigners.
8 fa bodiak’ avao ty falie’ iareo, vaho fitàn-kavanam-pamañahy ty fitàn-kavana’ iareo.
Their mouths speak lies, and their right hand is falsehood.
9 Ho saboeko sabo vao irehe ry Andrianañahare; hititihako marovany folo-taly hibekobekoako fandrengeañe,
I will sing a new song to you, God; on a lute of ten strings I will sing praises to you,
10 ie tolora’o rombake o Mpanjakao, naho mamotsotse i Davide mpitoro’oy ami’ty fibara mijoy.
who give salvation to kings, who rescued David your servant from an evil sword.
11 Hahao iraho naho avotsoro am-pità’ ondaty alik’amakoo, fa mandañitse avao ty falie’ iareo, vaho ty fitàn-kavana’ iareo ro fitan-kavanam-bìlañe.
Rescue me and free me from the hand of foreigners. Their mouths speak lies, and their right hand is falsehood.
12 Soa te ho hatae toratora’e o anadahin-tikañeo ami’ty hatora’ iareo vaho ho fahan-kotsoke niranjieñe ami’ty satan’ anjomba o anak-ampelan-tikañeo.
May our sons be like plants who grow to full size in their youth and our daughters like carved corner pillars, shapely like those of a palace.
13 Le ho pea o rihantikañeo, mañakatse ze hene karazam-bokatse, naho hitombo añ’arivo o añondrin-tikañeo, le añ’aleale ty an-teten-tikañ’ao;
May our storehouses be full with every kind of produce, and may our sheep produce thousands and ten thousands in our fields.
14 Le hitohetse iaby ty añomben-tika, naho tsy ho an-keba’e o kijolio, tsy ama’e ao ty hasese añe, vaho tsy ho an-dalan-tikañe ey ty koi-doza.
Then our oxen will have many young. No one will break through our walls; there will be no exile and no outcry in our streets.
15 Haha t’indaty mitoetse hoe izay; fale t’indaty naho Iehovà ro Andrianañahare’e.
Blessed is the people with such blessings; happy is the people whose God is Yahweh.
