1 Mibotatsake ty tsivokatse, ndra te tsy horidañeñe, fe mahafiato hoe liona tora’e o vañoñeo.
The wicked flee when none pursueth: but the righteous are bolde as a lyon.
2 Kanao miola ty tane, maro ty mpifele’e fe mahatam-pahendre’e t’indaty mahilala naho maharendreke,
For the transgression of the land there are many princes thereof: but by a man of vnderstanding and knowledge a realme likewise endureth long.
3 T’indaty rarake mamorekeke ty poi’e, le hoe oram-bey tsy manisa hane.
A poore man, if he oppresse the poore, is like a raging raine, that leaueth no foode.
4 Tsiririe’ o tsereheñeo ty mifary Hàke, f’ie atreatrè’ ty mahatàn-Kake.
They that forsake the Law, prayse the wicked: but they that keepe the Law, set themselues against them.
5 Tsy apota’ o ratio ty hatò, f’ie kila fohi’ ty mitsoeke Iehovà.
Wicked men vnderstand not iudgemnt: but they that seeke the Lord vnderstand all things.
6 Hàmake te rarake mañavelo an-kavantañañe, ta te mpañefoefo mengok’ an-tsata.
Better is the poore that walketh in his vprightnesse, then hee that peruerteth his wayes, though he be riche.
7 Mahatan-Kàke ty anake mahihitse, fe manalatse an-drae’e ty mirañetse amy mahake.
He that keepeth the Law, is a childe of vnderstanding: but hee that feedeth the gluttons, shameth his father.
8 Ty mampitombo vara ami’ty fañonjona’e ty anam-bola angala’e ro manontoñe aze ho ami’ty miferenaiñe amo rarakeo.
He that increaseth his riches by vsurie and interest, gathereth them for him that will be mercifull vnto the poore.
9 I mitan-tsofy tsy hitsanoña’e Hake, tiva ka ty fisolohoa’e.
He that turneth away his eare from hearing the Law, euen his prayer shalbe abominable.
10 Hijoñe an-davake hinali’e ao avao ty mampandifike o vantañeo mb’an-dalan-karatiam-beo, fe ho soa lova o vañoñeo.
He that causeth the righteous to go astray by an euill way, shall fall into his owne pit, and the vpright shall inherite good things.
11 Mahihitse am-pihaino’e ty mpañaleale, fe mahatsikarak’ aze ty rarake mahilala.
The riche man is wise in his owne conceite: but the poore that hath vnderstanding, can trie him.
12 Ipoñafen-drebeke te mandreketse ty vañoñe, fe mikafikafitse ondatio naho miongake ty lo-tsereke.
When righteous men reioyce, there is great glory: but when the wicked come vp, the man is tried.
13 Tsy hiraorao ty mañetake ty fiolà’e, fe ho tretrèzeñe ty misoloho naho mifoneñe.
He that hideth his sinnes, shall not prosper: but he that confesseth, and forsaketh them, shall haue mercy.
14 Haha t’indaty mitampompotse, fa hihotrak’ an-karatiañe ty gañe añ’arofo.
Blessed is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart, shall fall into euill.
15 Manahake ty fitrè’ i lionay naho i dobe mihitrihitry, ty mpifehe lo-tserek’ am’ondaty rarakeo.
As a roaring lyon, and an hungry beare, so is a wicked ruler ouer the poore people.
16 Po-hilala ty mpifehe mamorekeke, fe ho lava-havelo ty malaim-bara tsy mahity.
A prince destitute of vnderstanding, is also a great oppressour: but hee that hateth couetousnes, shall prolong his dayes.
17 Hahitrike mb’an-koboñe ao ty mivave lio-màliñe, tsy eo ty hañimb’aze.
A man that doeth violence against the blood of a person, shall flee vnto the graue, and they shall not stay him.
18 Ho rombaheñe ty mañavelo an-kalio-tahiñe, fe hikorovoke aniany ty mañorike lala-mengoke.
He that walketh vprightly, shalbe saued: but he that is froward in his wayes, shall once fall.
19 Ho enen-kaneñe ty miava ty tane’e, fe hizò hararahañe ty mpañeañe hakoahañe.
He that tilleth his land, shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth the idle, shall be filled with pouertie.
20 Ho soa tata t’indaty migahiñe, fe tsy ho po-lafa ty mihepakepake ho mpitsikafo.
A faythfull man shall abound in blessings, and he that maketh haste to be riche, shall not be innocent.
21 Tsy soa ty mirihy, naho mete hampandilatse ondaty ty mofo pila’e.
To haue respect of persons is not good: for that man will transgresse for a piece of bread.
22 Mpañeam-bara ty ama’ maso-migioke, fe tsy rendre’e te hiambotraha’ ty hararahañe.
A man with a wicked eye hasteth to riches, and knoweth not, that pouertie shall come vpon him.
23 Hanjo fañisohañe am-para’e ty mañendake ondaty, mandikoatse ty mpanao kabeake am-pameleke.
He that rebuketh a man, shall finde more fauour at length, then he that flattereth with his tongue.
24 Ze mampikametse aman-drae’e ndra aman-drene’e vaho manao ty hoe: Tsy fiolàñe izay; ro mpiami’ ty mpijoy.
Hee that robbeth his father and mother, and sayth, It is no transgression, is the companion of a man that destroyeth.
25 Mpitrobo fitrabihañe ty mpitrotroaboke, fe miraorao ze miato am’ Iehovà.
He that is of a proude heart, stirreth vp strife: but he that trusteth in the Lord, shall be fatte.
26 Minè ty miato aman-tro’e, fe haha ty mañavelo an-kihitse.
Hee that trusteth in his owne heart, is a foole: but he that walketh in wisdome, shall be deliuered.
27 Ho tampe-draha-irieñe ty mamahañe o rarakeo, fe hizò fatse maro ty mikipe maso.
He that giueth vnto the poore, shall not lacke: but he that hideth his eyes, shall haue many curses.
28 Ie mitroatse o lo-tserekeo, mietake ondatio; fa ie mihomake, le mihavelo o vañoñeo.
When the wicked rise vp, men hide them selues: but when they perish, ye righteous increase.
