1 O razan-tsaontsi’ i Selomò ana’ i Davide, mpanjaka’ Israeleo:
The parablis of Salomon, the sone of Dauid, king of Israel;
2 Haharendrehañe ty hihitse naho ty anatse; hahafohinañe o saontsy minday hilàlao,
to kunne wisdom and kunnyng;
3 hañanarañe filieram-batañe, havañonañe, zaka-to, naho tsy firihiañe,
to vndurstonde the wordis of prudence; and to take the lernyng of teching; to take riytfulnesse, and dom, and equyte;
4 haringatañe amy trentrañey, hampahihitse naho hampahilala o tora’eo;
that felnesse be youun to litle children, and kunnyng, and vndurstonding to a yong wexynge man.
5 hijanjiña’e ty mahihitse hanompea’e hilala, le ho verèñe an-kihitse ty maharendreke,
A wise man heringe schal be wisere; and a man vndurstondinge schal holde gouernails.
6 hahavaky o hatòm-bolañeo, naho o fandrazañañeo, ty enta’ o mahihitseo vaho o razan-tsaontsi’eo.
He schal perseyue a parable, and expownyng; the wordis of wise men, and the derk figuratif spechis of hem.
7 Ty fañeveñañ’am’ Iehovà ro fifotoran-kilala, fe malain-kihitse naho anatse ty gege.
The drede of the Lord is the bigynning of wisdom; foolis dispisen wisdom and teching.
8 O anake, tsendreño, ty fameren-drae’o, naho ko ado’o ty fañòhan-drene’o;
My sone, here thou the teching of thi fadir, and forsake thou not the lawe of thi modir;
9 Ie firavahañe soa an-doha’o eo vaho hareañe am-bozo’o eo.
that grace be addid, ethir encreessid, to thin heed, and a bie to thi necke.
10 O anake, ihe edrè’ o tsivokatseo, ko miantoke.
Mi sone, if synneris flateren thee, assente thou not to hem.
11 Ie manao ty hoe: Antao hindre ama’ay; antao hivoñon-dio, hiambotrak’ am’ondaty mahitio tsy aman-tali’ey;
If thei seien, Come thou with vs, sette we aspies to blood, hide we snaris of disseitis ayens an innocent without cause;
12 hagodran-tika veloñe iareo manahake i kiboriy, ty vata’e iaby, hambañe amo mivariñe an-kòak’ aoo; (Sheol h7585)
swolowe we him, as helle swolowith a man lyuynge; and al hool, as goynge doun in to a lake; we schulen fynde al preciouse catel, (Sheol h7585)
13 Hahaisake ze atao vara soa, hañatsafan-draha kinopake amo akiban-tikañeo;
we schulen fille oure housis with spuylis; sende thou lot with vs,
14 Mipiteha ama’ay arè, sindre hitraok’ an-koroñe raike.—
o purs be of vs alle;
15 O anake, tsy iharoan-dia iereo, kalaño ty tombo’o tsy ho ami’ty lala’ iareo;
my sone, go thou not with hem; forbede thi foot fro the pathis of hem.
16 fa milay mb’an-katsivokaram-b’eo o tombo’ iareo malisa hampiori-dioo.
For the feet of hem rennen to yuel; and thei hasten to schede out blood.
17 Toe tsy vente’e ty amohàm-pandrike ambane’ ty masom-boroñe eo!
But a net is leid in veyn bifore the iyen of briddis, that han wengis.
18 fe o liom-bata’eo ty iampira’ iareo, ty fiai’iareo avao ty amandroña’iareo.
Also `thilke wickid disseyueris setten aspies ayens her owne blood; and maken redi fraudis ayens her soulis.
19 Izay ty sata’ o mpitavam-bara am-patiti’eo, asinta’e ty fiai’ i mitañ’ aze’ey.
So the pathis of ech auerouse man rauyschen the soulis of hem that welden.
20 Mikok’ an-dalambey eo t’i Hihitse; poñafe’e an-tameañe ey i fiarañanaña’ey.
Wisdom prechith with outforth; in stretis it yyueth his vois.
21 Mikaik’ ami’ty fangovovoha’ondatio, mametse saontsy an-dalam-pizilihañ’an-drova eo:
It crieth ofte in the heed of cumpenyes; in the leeues of yatis of the citee it bringith forth hise wordis,
22 Pak’ombia ry seretseo ty mbe ho tea’o ty firoerano’o? naho mbe hifale ami’ty famokafoka’e o mpanivetiveo, vaho mbe halain-kilala o gegeo?
and seith, Hou long, ye litle men in wit, louen yong childhod, and foolis schulen coueyte tho thingis, that ben harmful to hem silf, and vnprudent men schulen hate kunnyng?
23 Mibaliha ty amy fañendahakoy, Hadoako ama’ areo ty añ’ovako ao; hampahafohineko anahareo o entakoo.
Be ye conuertid at my repreuyng; lo, Y schal profre forth to you my spirit, and Y schal schewe my wordis.
24 Amy te nikoike iraho, f’ie nifoneñe; nahitiko ty tañako, fe leo raike tsy nañaoñe,
For Y clepide, and ye forsoken; Y helde forth myn hond, and noon was that bihelde.
25 fonga nifarie’ areo o fañerekoo, vaho niambohoa’ areo o endakoo,
Ye dispisiden al my councel; and chargiden not my blamyngis.
26 Aa le izaho ka ty hiankahake ami’ty hankà’areo, vaho ho kizaheko t’ie mianifañe,
And Y schal leiye in youre perisching; and Y schal scorne you, whanne that, that ye dreden, cometh to you.
27 ie vovoa’ ty havorombeloñe hoe te tiobey, naho iambovoa’ ty hankàñe manahake te talio, ie iambotraha’ ty haloviloviañe naho ty halonjerañe,
Whanne sodeyne wretchidnesse fallith in, and perisching bifallith as tempest; whanne tribulacioun and angwisch cometh on you.
28 Hikaik’ ahy amy zao iereo fe hamoeako hitsoek’ ahy fa tsy hahaoniñe.
Thanne thei schulen clepe me, and Y schal not here; thei schulen rise eerli, and thei schulen not fynde me.
29 Amy t’ie nalain-kilala, tsy nijoboñe ty fañeveñañe am’ Iehovà,
For thei hatiden teching, and thei token not the drede of the Lord,
30 nitambolitritrie’ iereo ty fañerèko, vaho tsinambolitio’ iereo o fitrevokoo,
nether assentiden to my councel, and depraueden al myn amendyng.
31 Aa le hagedra’ iareo ty voka’ o sata’ iareoo, naho ho etsa-kilily,
Therfor thei schulen ete the fruytis of her weie; and thei schulen be fillid with her counseils.
32 Ie mañoho-doza amo trentrañeo t’ie miamboho, naho mandrotsake o dagolao t’ie midada.
The turnyng awei of litle men in wit schal sle hem; and the prosperite of foolis schal leese hem.
33 Fe ho soa fimoneñe ty mitsendreñe ahiko vaho hiaiñ’añ’oleñañe, tsy ho hemban-kankàñe.
But he that herith me, schal reste with outen drede; and he schal vse abundaunce, whanne the drede of yuels is takun awei.
