< Nomery 21 >
1 Ie jinanji’ i Arade Mpanjaka nte-Kanàne nimoneñe Atimo añe te niary mb’e Atarime mb’eo t’Israele, le nialy am’ Israele re vaho nendese’e am-bahotse ty ila’e.
And whanne Chananei, the kyng of Arad, that dwellide at the south, hadde herd this, that is, that Israel cam bi the weye of aspieris, he fauyt ayens hem; and Chananei was ouercomere and ledde pray of Israel.
2 Aa le nifanta am’ Iehovà t’Israele nanao ty hoe, Naho toe hasese’o am-pità’ay ondaty rezao le fonga harotsa’ay o rova’eo.
And Israel bounde hym sylf bi avow to the Lord, and seide, If thou schalt bitake this puple in myn hond, Y schal do awei `the citees therof.
3 Nihaoñe’ Iehovà ty fiarañanaña’ Israele le nasese’e ama’e o nte-Kanàneo; fonga finongo’ iareo o rova’eo; vaho natao Kormà i taney.
And the Lord herde the preieris of Israel, and bitook the Chananey; and Israel killid hym, and distruyede hise citees; and clepide the name of that place Horma, that is, cursyng, `ethir hangyng up.
4 Niavotse boak’ am-Bohi-Hore eo le nionjoñe mb’ an-dalañe migodañe mb’amy Ria-Binday mb’ eo, hiariañe i tane’ Edomey; fe nahangoae ondatio i liay.
`Forsothe thei yeden forth also fro the hil of Hor, bi the weie that ledith to the reed see, that thei schulden cumpasse the lond of Edom; and it bigan to anoye the puple, of the weie and trauel.
5 Le nañinje an’ Andrianañahare naho i Mosè ondatio ami’ ty hoe: Aa vaho akore t’ie nindesa’o niakatse i Mitsraime hivetrake am-patrambey atoy, ie tsy ama’ mahakama ndra rano naho mampangorý anay ty mofo maivañe toy.
And the puple spak ayens the Lord and Moises, and seide, Whi leddist thou vs out of Egipt, that we schulden die in wildirnesse? breed failith, watris ben not; oure soule wlatith now on this `meete moost liyt.
6 Aa le nañiraha’ Iehovà merem-boreke ty añivo’ ondatio ze nañehetse ondaty vaho maro amo ana’ Israeleo ty nifitake.
Wherfor the Lord sente `firid serpentis in to the puple; at the woundis of whiche serpentis, and the dethis of ful many men,
7 Aa le nimb’ amy Mosè mb’eo ondatio nanao ty hoe: Nandilatse ami’ ty nañinjea’ay azo naho Iehovà; ihalalio am’Iehovà ty hanintaha’e o mereñeo. Aa le nihalaly ho a ondatio t’i Mosè.
thei camen to Moyses, and seiden, We synneden, for we spaken ayens the Lord and thee; preie thou, that he take awey fro vs the serpentis.
8 Le hoe t’Iehovà amy Mosè, Itseneo sare merem-boreke le asampezo ami’ty bodan-katae; le ho veloñe ze hene ondaty nihehereñe, mitalahatse ama’e.
And Moises preiede for the puple; and the Lord seide to hym, Make thou a serpent of bras, and sette thou it for a signe; he that is smytun and biholdith it, schal lyue.
9 Aa le namboare’ i Mosè an-torisìke i mereñey naho nasampe’e an-katae, aa naho nihehetse ondaty ty mereñe, ie nañente i mereñe torisìkey le niveloñe.
Therfor Moyses made a serpent of bras, and settide for a signe; and men smytun and biholdynge it, weren heelid.
10 Nionjoñe amy zao o ana’ Israeleo le nitobe e Obote.
And the sones of Israel yeden forth,
11 Niavota’ iareo ty Obote vaho nitobe e Iai’haabarime, am-patrambey atiñana’ i Moabe mb’ am-panjirihan’ andro mb’eo.
and settiden tentis in Oboth; fro whennus thei yeden forth, and settiden tentis in Neabarym, in the wildirnesse, that biholdith Moab, ayens the eest coost.
12 Nionjoñe boak’ ao iereo le nitobe am-Bavatane’ i Zerede ao.
And thei moueden fro thennus, and camen to the stronde of Zareth;
13 Hirik’ ao iereo niavotse vaho nitobe alafe’ i Arnone amy fatrambey mifototse an-tane’ o nte-Emoreoy; amy te efe-tane’ i Moabe i Arnoney, mañefetse i Moabe amo nte-Emoreo.
which thei leften, and settiden tentis ayens Arnon, which is in the deseert, and apperith in the coostis of Amorrei. Forsothe Arnon is the terme of Moab, and departith Moabitis and Ammoreis.
14 Izay ty nanoeñe amo Boke’ o Ali’ Iehovàoo ty hoe: Oahebe e Sofà, o toraha’ i Arnoneo,
Wherfor it is seid in the book of batels of the Lord, As he dide in the reed see, so he schal do in the strondis of Arnon;
15 naho ty teva’ o torahañeo ze mivariñe mb’an toe’ i Are, naho miefetse amy Moabe.
the harde rochis of the strondis weren bowid, that tho schulen reste in Arnon, and schulden ligge in the coostis of Moabitis.
16 Ie hirik’ ao nimb’e Bire mb’eo, i vovoñe nitsarae’ Iehovà amy Mosèy ty hoe, Atontono ondatio hanjotsoako rano.
Fro that place the pit apperide, of which the Lord spak to Moyses, Gadere thou the puple, and Y schal yyue watir to it.
17 Le hoe ty nisaboe’ Israele: Mivoaña ry vovoñeo, isabo!
Thanne Israel soong this song, The pit stie;
18 ty vovo nalente’ o talèo, hinali’ ty roandria’ ondatio, an-kobaiñe, an-tsara’ i Mpandily. Ie boak’am-patrambey ao le nañavelo pak’e Matanà,
thei sungen togidere, The pit which the princes diggiden, and the duykis of the multitude maden redi, in the yyuere of the lawe, and in her stauys. And thei yeden forth fro the wildirnesse to Mathana,
19 le boake Matanà mbe Mahaliele mb’eo, le hirike Mahaliele mb’e Bamote mb’eo,
fro Mathana to Naaliel, fro Naaliel in to Bamoth;
20 vaho boake Bamote am-bavatane’ i Moabe mb’ an-dengo’ i Pisgà mitolike mb’amy ratraratray añe.
Bamoth is a valey in the cuntrey of Moab, in the cop of Phasga, that biholdith ayens the deseert.
21 Le nañitrike mb’amy Sihone mpanjaka’ o nte-Emoreo t’Israele, nanao ty hoe:
Forsothe Israel sente messangeris to Seon, kyng of Ammorreis, and seide,
22 Adono hiranga ty tane’o zahay. Tsy hivìke mb’ an-teteke ndra mb’ an-tane-bahe; tsy hikama rano am-bovoñe. Hañorike i Karanangam-Panjakay avao ampara’ te losore’ay ty efe-tane’o.
Y biseche that it be leueful to me to passe thorou thi loond; we schulen not bowe in to the feeldis and vyneris; we schulen not drynke watris of pittis; we schulen go in the kyngis weie, til we passen thi termes.
23 F’ie tsy napo’ i Sihone hiranga i efe’ey. Aa le natonto’ i Sihone ondati’e iabio vaho niavotse haname Israele am-patram-bey ey, le nivotrake e Iàhatse re naialy am’ Israele.
Which nolde graunte that Israel schulde passe thury hise coostis, but rather, whanne the oost was gaderid, he yede out ayens Israel, in to deseert. And he cam in to Yasa, and fauyt ayens Israel;
24 Zinevo’ Israele an-delam-pibara vaho tinava’e i tane’ey boak’ amy Arnoney pak’ ami’ ty Iaboke naho pak’ amo nte-Amoneo amy te fatratse ty efe-tane’ o ana’ i Amoneo.
of whom he was smytun in the scharpnesse of swerd, and his lond was weldid fro Arnon `til to Jeboth and `the sones of Amon; for the termes of Amonytis weren holdun bi strong help.
25 Aa le fonga rinambe’ Israele o rova’eo vaho songa nimoneña’ Israele o rova’ o nte-Emoreo, e Khesbone naho o hene ana-drova’eo.
Therfor Israel took alle `the citees of hym, and dwelliden in the citees of Amorrei, that is, in Esebon, and hise townes.
26 Nirova’ i Sihone mpanjaka’ o nte-Emoreo ty Khesbone; niazo’e te nialy amy mpanjaka’ i Moabey taoloy vaho fonga rinambe’e i tane’e pak’amy Arnoney.
The citee of Esebon was Seons, kyng of Ammorei, which Seon fauyt ayens the kyng of Moab, and took al the lond that was of his lordschip, `til to Arnon.
27 Aa le hoe ty onin-tsaontsin-droae: Antao mb’e Khesbone mb’eo, hamboatse naho hañafatratse ty rova’ i Sihone
Therfor it is seid in prouerbe, Come ye in to Esebon, be it bildid, and maad the citee of Seon;
28 Fa niakatse i Kesobone ty afo, lel’ afo boak’ an-drova’ i Sihone, nagodra’e i Are’ i Moabey o talen-kaboa’ i Arnoneo.
fier yede out of Esebon, flawme yede out of the citee `ethir greet castel of Seon, and deuouryde Ar of Moabitis, and the dwelleris of the `hiye places of Arnon.
29 Hekoheko ama’o ry Moabe, Rinotsake nahareo nte-Kemose: napo’e ho gike o ana-dahi’eo, naho o anak’ampela’eo ho mpirohi’ i Sihone, mpanjaka’ i Emorey.
Moab, wo to thee! thou, puple of Chamos, perischidist; it yaf the sones therof in to fliyt, and the douytris in to caitifte to Seon, kyng of Ammoreis;
30 Linihi’ay ambane iereo: Nihomake t’i Khesbone pak’e Dibone, le natsafe’ay pak’e Nofà, naho pak’e Medebà.
the yok of hem perischide, fro Esebon `til to Dibon; the wery men camen in to Jophe, and `til to Medaba.
31 Aa le nimoneñe an-tane’ Emore ao t’Israele.
And so Israel dwellide in the lond of Ammorrey.
32 Nampihitrife’ i Mosè ty hitingañe Ia’azere le rinambe’e o tanà’eo vaho nanoe’e soike ze nte-Emore tao.
And Moises sente men that schulden aspie Jaser, whos `townes thei token, and weldiden the dwelleris.
33 Nitsile iereo, nañavelo an-dalañe mb’e Basane mb’eo; le niavotse hifanalaka am’iareo t’i Oge mpanjaka’ i Basane rekets’ ondati’e iabio, hañotakotake e Edrey.
And thei turniden hem silf, and stieden bi the weie of Basan. And Og, the kyng of Basan, with al his puple cam ayens hem, to fiyte in Edray.
34 Aa hoe t’Iehovà amy Mosè, Ko ihembaña’o, fa natoloko am-pità’o rekets’ ondati’e iabio naho i tane’ey. Ano ama’e hambañe amy nanoa’o amy Sihone mpanjaka’ o nte-Emore nimpifehe’ i Khesboneoy.
And the Lord seide to Moises, Drede thou not hym, for Y haue bitake hym, and al his loond, and puple, in thin hoond; and thou schalt do to hym as thou didist to Seon, kyng of Ammorreis, the dwellere of Esebon.
35 Aa le zinevo’ iareo naho o ana-dahi’eo naho ondati’eo, ampara t’ie tsy aman-tsengaha’e vaho rinambe’iereo i tane’ey.
Therfor thei smytiden `bothe hym with hise sones and al his puple, `til to deeth; and thei weldiden `the lond of hym.
