< Nehemia 7 >

1 Ie nifonitse i kijoliy naho fa natroako o lalañeo naho fa tinendreko o mpañambeñeo naho o mpisaboo vaho o nte-Levio,
Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
2 le nafantoko amy Kananý, rahalahiko naho amy Kananià, mpifelek’ i anjombam-panjakay ty fandiliañe Ierosalaime (amy te ondaty vañon-dre, nañeveñe aman’ Añahare mandikoatse i màroy);
that I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the governor of the castle, charge over Jerusalem, for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.
3 le nanoako ty hoe: Ko sokafe’ areo o lalambei’ Ierosalaimeo ampara’ te mafana-voho ndra te eo o mpigaritseo, arindrino naho agabeño; vaho joboño mpañambeñe amo mpimone’ Ierosalaimeo, songa ami’ty fiambena’e naho sindre tandrife’ i anjomba’ey.
And I said to them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot, and while they stand on guard, let them shut the doors, and bar ye them. And appoint watchmen of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, everyone in his watch, and everyone to be opposite his house.
4 Toe bey naho jabajaba o rovao fe tsy niampeampe t’indaty ao vaho mboe tsy namboareñe o anjombao.
Now the city was wide and large, but the people in it were few, and the houses were not built.
5 Le najon’ Añahareko an-troko ao ty hanontoñe o mpiaoloo naho o mpifehe ondatio, hampiantoñoñe iereo. Le nitreako ty bokem-piantoño’ o nionjoñe mb’atoy tam-baloha’e vaho nizoeko sinokitse ao ty hoe:
