22 O nte Levy tañ’andro’ i Eliasibeo, Ioiada naho Iohanane naho Iadoà ty nivolilieñe ho roaen’ anjomban-droae; hoe zay ka o mpisoroñeo, tañ’andro’ i Dareiavese nte-Parsý.
The Levites, in the days of Eliashib, and Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, and the priests, were written according to the leaders of the families, during the reign of Darius the Persian.
23 Sinokitse amy boken-taliliy pak’ añ’ andro’ Iokanane ana’ i Eliasibe o ana’ i Levy, mpiaolon’ anjomban-droaeo.
The sons of Levi, according to the leaders of the families, were written in the book of the words of those days, even to the days of Johanan, the son of Eliashib.
24 Le o mpiaolo nte-Levio: i Kasabià, i Serebià, Iesòa, ana’ i Kadmiele, mitraok’ amo rahalahi’e nifanandrife am’ iareoo, handrenge naho hañandriañe, ty amy lili’ i Davide ‘ndatin’ Añaharey, firimboñañe miatre-pirimboñañe.
Now the leaders of the Levites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua, the son of Kadmiel, and their brothers, in their turns, so that they would praise and confess, according to the precept of David, the man of God. And they served equally and in order.
25 Nimpañambem-pizilihañe nitam-pijilovañe añ’ efem-pañaja’ o lalambei’eo t’i Matanià naho i Bakbokià, i Obadia, i Mesolame, i Talmone vaho i Akobe.
Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were keepers of the gates and of the vestibules before the gates.
26 Tañ’andro’ Ioiakime ana’ Iesòa, ana’ Iotsadake naho tañ’ andro’ i Nekemià mpifehe vaho i Ezra mpisoroñe, mpanokitse, irezay.
These were in the days of Joiakim, the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah, the governor, and of Ezra, the priest and scribe.
27 Ie tamy fañorizañe i kijoli’ Ierosalaimeiy, le nitsoehe’ iareo an-toe’ iareo iaby o nte-Levio hitaoñe iareo mb’e Ierosalaime, hitañe i fañorizañey am-pirebehañe naho fañandriañañe naho fisaboañe, am-pikorintsañe naho jejobory vaho marovany.
Now at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, they sought the Levites from all their places, so that they might bring them to Jerusalem, and so that they might keep the dedication, and rejoice with thanksgiving, and with singing, and with cymbals, psalteries, and lyres.
28 Aa le nifanontoñe boak’ am-paripari’ Ierosalaime ey naho boak’ amo tanàm-pitoroñe añ’anjombao o anam-pisaboo;
Now the sons of the singing men were gathered from the plains surrounding Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophati,
29 naho boak’e Bete-gilgale vaho boak’ an-tete’ i Gebà naho i Atsmavete ao; fa namboatse tanañe mañohoke Ierosalaime o mpisaboo.
and from the house of Gilgal, and from the regions of Geba and Azmaveth. For the singing men had built villages for themselves around Jerusalem.
30 Le nañefe-batañe o mpisoroñeo naho o nte-Levio; le nefera’ iereo ondatio naho o lalambeio vaho i kijoliy.
And the priests and the Levites were cleansed, and they cleansed the people, and the gates, and the wall.
31 Le nendeseko mb’ ambone’ i kijoliy mb’eo o mpiaolo’ Iehodao, le nanendreako firimboñam-pisabo jabajaba roe, ty valoha’e hionjomb’ an-kavana ambone’ i kijoliy mb’ an-dalambeim-porompotse mb’eo;
Then I caused the leaders of Judah to ascend the wall, and I appointed two great choirs to give praise. And they went to the right upon the wall, toward the dung gate.
32 nanonjohy iareo t’i Hosaià naho ty vakim-piaolo’ Iehodao;
And after them went Hoshaiah, and one half part of the leadership of Judah,
33 naho i Azarià, i Ezra vaho i Mesolame,
and Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,
34 Iehoda naho i Beniamine naho i Semaià vaho Ieremià;
Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah.
35 naho ty ila’ o anam-pisoroñe mpinday trompetrao: i Zekarià, ana’ Ionatane, ana’ i Semaià, ana’ i Matanià, ana’ i Mikaià, ana’ i Zakore, ana’ i Asafe;
And some of the sons of the priests went forth with trumpets: Zachariah, the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph.
36 naho o rahalahi’eo: i Semaià naho i Azarele, i Milalay, i Gilalay, i Maaý, i Netanele vaho Iehodà, i Kananý, rekets’ o fititiha’ i Davide ondatin’ Añaharey; le niaolo iareo t’i Ezra, mpanokitse;
And his brothers, Shemaiah, and Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, and Judah, and Hanani, went forth with the canticles of David, the man of God. And Ezra, the scribe, was before them at the fountain gate.
37 Ie an-dalambein-drano migoangoañe eo, le nivantañe nañambone’ i fanongàn-drova’ i Davidey, amy fanongan-kijoly ambone’ ty anjomba’ i Davidey, mb’ an-dalambein-drano atiñanam-b’eo.
And opposite them, they ascended by the steps of the city of David, at the ascent of the wall above the house of David, and as far as the water gate to the east.
38 Le nimb’ ami’ty hifanalakàñe amy raikey i firimboñam-pañandriañañe ila’ey, toe nanonjohy iereo iraho, nitraok’ amy an-tsasa’ ondatioy, ambone’ i kijoliy, mb’ambone’ i fitalakesañ’ abon-toñakey, mb’ amy kijoly mitratrañàkey,
And the second choir of those who gave thanks went forth on the opposite side, and I went after them, and one half part of the people were upon the wall, and upon the tower of the furnaces, as far as the widest wall,
39 le mb’ ambone’ i lalambei’ Efraimey mb’eo naho nioza i lalambein-drova taoloy naho i lalambeim-piañey naho ty fitalakesañ’abo’ i Kanànele naho ty fitalakesañ’abo’ i Zatoy mb’amy lalambein’ añondriy mb’eo, vaho nijohañe an-dalambeim-pigaritse eo.
and above the gate of Ephraim, and above the ancient gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananel, and the tower of Hamath, and as far as the flock gate. And they stood still at the watch gate.
40 Teo ty nijohaña’ i firimboñañe roe nañandriañe añ’ anjomban’ Añahare ao rey naho izaho, rekets’ i vakim-piaolo nindre amakoy;
And the two choirs of those who gave praise stood still at the house of God, with myself and one half part of the magistrates who were with me.
41 naho o mpisoroñeo, i Eliakime, i Maaseià, i Miniamine, i Mikaià, i Elionay, i Zekarià naho i Kananià, rekets’ o trompetrao;
And the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Mijamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, Hananiah, went forth with trumpets,
42 naho i Maaseià naho i Semaià naho i Ozý naho Iehokanane naho i Malkiià naho i Elame vaho i Ezere. Nampipoña-peo o mpisaboo, mpifelek’ iareo t’Iizrakà.
with Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers were singing clearly, and Jezrahiah was their foremost leader.
43 Le nañenga soroñe ra’elahy iereo amy andro zay naho nirebeke, fa nampirebehen’ Añahare an-kafaleam-bey; naho o rakembao naho o ajajao; vaho nijanjiñeñe lavitse añe ty hafalea’ Ierosalaime.
And on that day, they immolated great sacrifices, and they rejoiced. For God had caused them to rejoice with great joy. And their wives and children also were glad. And the rejoicing of Jerusalem was heard from far away.
44 Amy andro zay ty nanendreañe ondaty hifehe o trañom-pañajàñe o varao, o engan-kelahelao, o loha-voao vaho o faha-foloo, te hatontoñe ao ty boak’ amo teten-drovao ty anjara tinendre’ i Hake amo mpisoroñe naho nte-Levio; amy te nirebeke ty amo mpisoroñeo naho o nte-Levy mpijohañeo t’Iehodà.
On that day also, they enrolled men over the storehouses of the treasury, for the libations, and for the first-fruits, and for the tithes, so that the leaders of the city might bring these in, by them, with proper thanksgiving, for the priests and the Levites. For Judah was rejoicing in the priests and the Levites who were assisting.
45 Ie nañambeñe ty fitoroñañe an’ Andrianañahare’ iareo naho i fañeferañey, le nanahake Izay ka o mpisaboo naho o mpigaritseo, ie lili’ i Davide naho i Selomò ana’ey.
And they kept the vigil of their God, and the vigil of expiation, with the singing men and the gatekeepers, in accord with the precept of David, and of Solomon, his son.
46 Fa teo tañ’ andro’ i Davide naho i Asafe taolo, o mpiaolom-pisabo naho sabom-pandrengeañe naho fañandriañañe aman’ Añahareo.
For in the days of David and Asaph, from the beginning, there were leaders appointed over the singers, to give praise in verses, and to confess to God.
47 Aa le songa nanolotse ty anjara’ o mpisaboo naho o mpañambeñeo ami’ ty andro’e t’Israele tañ’ andro’ i Zerobabele naho faha’ i Nekemià, le nandiva’ iareo amo nte-Levio vaho nandiva’ o nte-Levio amo ana’ i Aharoneo.
And all of Israel, in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave portions to the singing men and to the gatekeepers, for each day, and they sanctified the Levites, and the Levites sanctified the sons of Aaron.
