Matio 7
1 Ko mirihy, hera ho zakaeñe.
JUDGE not, that you be not judged.
2 Ami’ty fizakañe izakà’ areo ty anjakañe anahareo, naho ty fañaranañe añarana’ areo ro añaranañe ama’areo.
For with the judgment that you judge, you shall be judged; and with the measure that you mete, it shall be measured to you.
3 Akore te biribirie’o ty ahetse am-pihaino’ ondatio, fe tsy isa’o i boda am-pihaino’oy?
But why dost thou look at the rod that is in thy brother's eye, while the rafter that is in thine own eye thou dost not consider?
4 Akore ty anoa’o am’indatiy, ty hoe: Eo heike, hañifihako o ahetse am-pihaino’oo; te mone hehe ty boda am-pihaino’o ao?
Or how sayest thou to thy brother, Permit that I draw forth the rod from thine eye, and, behold, there is a rafter in thine own eye?
5 Soamiatreke! Ahifiho añe hey o boda a’ maso’oo, izay irehe vaho hahafibiretse, hañifike i ahetse am-pihainon-drañe’oy.
Hypocrite! draw forth first the rafter from thine own eye, and then thou wilt see to draw forth the rod from thy brother's eye.
6 Ko atolotse ami’ty amboa ty hena miavake, naho ko apoke aolon-dambo eo o hange’ areoo ke ho vazañe’e; hera hitolike handrimitse azo.
Give not the holy unto dogs, and throw not your precious stones before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
7 Mihalalia aman’Añahare, le ho tolorañe, mikodebea le hahaoniñe, mampikonkòña le hisokafañe;
Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
8 amy te songa mahazo ze mihalaly, hahaisake ty mitsoeke; vaho ho sokafañe ty mitrehentreheñe.
For every one who asketh receiveth, and he who seeketh findeth; and to him who knocketh it is opened.
9 Ia ama’areo, naho ipaia’ ty ana’e mofo, ro hañomey aze vato?
Or what man from among you, who if his son shall ask bread, will reach forth a stone to him?
10 Ke ihalalia’e fiañe, ro hanozoa’e mereñe?
if a fish he shall ask of him, a serpent will he reach forth to him?
11 Aa ndra te raty nahareo ro mahay mifampanjotso raha soa, sandrake t’i Rae’ areo andindìñe ao ro hanolotse i Arofo’e Soa amo mihalaly ama’eo.
If, therefore, you who are evil know to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him?
12 Aa ndra inoñ’ inoñe ty tea’ areo hanoe’ ondaty ama’areo, anò am’iereo. Fa izay t’i Hake naho ty tsaram-pitoky.
All therefore that you will that men shall do unto you, so also do you unto them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13 Iziliho i làlambey maifitsey, fa mivañavaña ty lalambey naho laleke ty lalañe mb’am-piantoañe mb’eo vaho maro ty mimoake ao.
ENTER in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and spacious the way, that conducteth to destruction; and they are many who go therein.
14 Mizìtse ty lalam-bey naho mikitìtse ty oloñoloñe mañity mb’an-kaveloñe mb’eo; Tsy ampeampe ty mahaoniñe aze.
How small is the gate, and narrow the way, that leadeth unto salvation; and they are few who find it!
15 Itaò o mpitoky vìlañe miheo mb’ama’ areo am-bolon’ añondrio, te mone amboa romotse ty am-po ao.
Beware of false prophets, who come to you in the clothing of sheep, but within are ravening wolves.
16 O sata’eo ro hahafohinañe iareo; potore’ ondaty am-patike hao ty valoboke? Ke amo farehetseo ty sakoañe?
By their fruits you shall know them. Do they gather from thorns grapes, or from briers figs?
17 Hene mamoa voa soa ze hatae soa, naho fonga mamoa voa raty ty hatae mimontamontañe.
So every good tree maketh good fruits; but an evil tree maketh evil fruits.
18 Tsy mete mamoa voa raty ty hatae soa, naho tsy lefe’ ty hatae raty ty hamoa voa soa.
A good tree cannot make evil fruits, nor an evil tree make good fruits.
19 Hene forototoeñe añ’afo ao ze hatae tsy mamoa voa soa,
Every tree that maketh not good fruits is cut down, and falleth into the fire.
20 aa le o voa’eo, toe o sata’eo, ty hahafohinañe iareo.
Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them.
21 Amy te tsy ze fonga manao amako ty hoe: Talè, ro himoake amy fifehean-dikerañey, fa ze manao o satrin-dRaeko an-dindìñeo ty hizilike am-pifehean-dikerañey ao.
Not every one that saith to me, My Lord, my Lord, entereth into the kingdom of heaven; but he who doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Amy andro zay maro ty hanao amako ty hoe: O Talè, Talè, tsy i tahina’oy hao ty nitokia’ay? naho i tahina’oy ty nañaria’ay kokolampa, mbore i tahina’oy ty nanoa’ay raha tsitantane maro?
Multitudes will say to me in that day My Lord, my Lord, in thy name have we not prophesied, and in thy name ejected devils, and in thy name performed many mighty works?
23 F’ie hanoako ty hoe: Le lia’e tsy nifàntako nahareo, misitaha amako ty mpitolon-tsereke retia.
And then will I confess to them, I never knew you; go far from me, ye workers of iniquity.
24 Aa ze hene mahajanjiñe o volako rezao naho itoloña’e, ro razañeko amy t’indaty mahihitse nañoreñe anjomba an-damilamy.
Every one therefore who heareth these my words, and doeth them, shall be likened to a wise man, who built his house upon a rock.
25 Nikojojojoaha’ i orañey, naho nifofoha’ o tiokeo, f’ie tsy nirotsake, amy te lamilamy ty mananta’e.
And the rain descended, and the torrents came, and the winds blew, and rushed against that house, but it fell not, for its foundations were placed upon the rock.
26 Ze mahajanjiñe o volakoo, fe tsy tarè’e, le hambañe amy t’indaty minèñe nañoren-traño am-paseñe.
And every one who heareth these my words, and doeth them not, shall be likened to a man who built his house upon sand.
27 Nilihitse i orañey, nitorotositse i sorotombakey, namaoke i trañoy i tiokey, naho nihotrake vaho havaràta ty fideboña’e.
And the rain descended, and the torrents came, and the winds blew, and rushed against that house, and it fell, and the ruin of it was great.
28 Ie nitsara i entañe zay t’Iesoà, le hene nilatsa amy fañoha’ey;
And when Jeshu had finished these words, the multitudes wondered at his doctrine.
29 amy te an-kaozaram-bey i fitaroña’ey, tsy nanahake o androanavi’ iareoo.
For he taught them as one having power, and not as their scribes and the Pharishee.
