Matio 6
1 Mitaòa, hera hanoe’ areo añatrefa’ ondatio o fatariha’ areoo, hitsiriria’ iareo, f’ie ho po-tambe aman-dRae’ areo andindìñe ao.
Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2 Ie mitolon-kavantañañe, ko mikoi-dava ndra mitioke trompetra hiaolo azo manahake o soamiatrekeo fa anoe’ iereo an-dalañeo naho an-tsena ey o falalà’ iareoo soa te ho isa’ ondaty. Eka! to ty asako ama’o t’ie fa nandrambe tambe.
Therefore when thou doest [thine] alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
3 F’ihe naho manao fatarihañe, ko ampahafohineñe ty fità’o havia ty anoem-pità’o havana
But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
4 soa te hihaja i fatariha’oy; le i Rae’o mahavazoho añ’etake ro hanambe azo.
That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
5 Ie mihalaly irehe, ko mañonjom-peo, le ko manao soamiatreke lonjetse, mpitea halaly am-pitontonañe ao naho an-kotson-kiririsa ey, miloloke an-dreham-piriñake hijanjiña’ ondaty hilombofa’e. Eka! to t’itaroñako t’ie fa aman-tambe.
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6 Fa ihe, naho miloloke, miziliha am-pandrea’o ao le agabeño ty lala’o, naho milolofa aman-dRae’o am-bangiñe ao, vaho ho tambezen-dRae’o mivazoho añ’ etake ao.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 Inahareo ka, naho mihalaly, ko mibeobeoke manahake o tsereheñeo, ie atao’iereo ho janjiñeñe ty amo figaradadàha’ iareoo.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Aa le ko itsikombeañe. Ami’te arofoanan-dRae’ areo andindiñe ao o enta’ areoo aolo’ ty ihalalia’areo?
Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9 Inao ty hilolofa’ areo: Ry Rae’ay andindiñe ao, ho masiñeñe ty tahina’o.
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Ho tahieñe ty fifehea’o, hanoeñe an-dindiñe ao naho an-tane atoy o satri’oo.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven.
11 Atoloro anay nainai’e ty mahakama’ay,
Give us this day our daily bread.
12 Apoho o tahi’aio, manahake ty ihevea’ay o anaña’ay hakeoo.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 Ko minday anay mb’an-kaozaram-panjiziañe, fa kalaño amy ze atao raty, [toe Azo ty fifeheañe, ty haozarañe vaho ty engeñe nainai’e.] Amene.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
14 Naho hevè’ areo ty hakeo’ ondaty, le ho hahà’ i Rae’areo andindìñey ka o tahi’areoo.
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 Fe naho tsy apo’ areo ty hakeo’ ondaty, tsy ho hahàn-dRae’areo o tahi’areoo.
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
16 Ie mililitse, ko manao laharam-pandalàn-tsoamiatreke, mañamonjetse laharañe hisenge te mililitse añatrefa’ ondaty. Eka! to t’itaroñako t’ie fa nahazo tambe.
Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
17 F’ihe, naho mililitse sasao ty añ’ambone’o;
But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
18 tsy mone ho oni’ ondaty t’ie mililitse, naho tsy t’i Rae’o añ’etake ao, vaho i Rae’o mahavazoho an-kafits’aoy ro hanambe azo.
That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
19 Ko mitolom-pamotry vara an-tane atoy, habotse’ ty oletse naho ty eno, ndra hipoñafa’ ty mpikizo hañaoke.
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 Mañajà vara andindìñ’ ao, ami’ty tsy hagedra’ ty oletse naho ty eno, mbore tsy ho gorobahe’ ty mpikizo hamaoke;
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 fa ami’ty nampipoha’o o vara’oo, ao ka ty arofo’o.
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
22 Failo’ ty sandry ty fihaino’o, ie vantam-pañente o fihaino’oo le tsy haieñe ty sandri’o.
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 Aa naho mitsikirike o fihaino’oo, le himoromoroñe iaby ty vata’o; ie maieñe ty zava ama’o ao, le hene haieñe o lala’oo!
But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great [is] that darkness!
24 Tsy eo ty mahafitoroñe talè roe, hera ho falai’e ty raike naho hikokoa’e ty raike, ke hiasia’e ty raike vaho sirikae’e ty raike; tsy lefe’areo toroñeñe t’i Andrianañahare naho ty voatse toy.
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
25 Inao ty itaroñako, Ko marimarihe’ areo ty havelo’areo, ty ho kamae’ areo ndra ty hinoma’ areo, vaho ty sandri’ areo, ty hisafora’ areo. Tsy likoare’ ty troke hao ty mahakama, naho ty sandriñe ty sikiñe?
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Heheke o voron-dikerañeo: tsy mitongy, tsy mandrofotse vaho tsy mañoroñe an-driha, fa fahana’ i Rae’areo onjoneñey. Tsy sarotse te am’iereo v’inahareoo?
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Ia ama’ areo, te mahimahiñe ro mahatovoñe ty haabo’e kiho raike?
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 Aa ino ty marikarihañe amo saroñeo? Birèto o befelañe an-tetekeo, ty fitiri’e; ie tsy mandrorotse, tsy manenoñe,
And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 fe itaroñako te, ndra i Solomona ami’ty enge’e iaby, tsy nihamiñe manahake ty raike ama’e.
And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Aa naho izay ty ampisikinan’ Añahare ty vinda am-bare mizorazora ao, ie maindoñe androany naho miheatse vaho ahifike an-toñake ao hamaray; tsy mandikoatse izay hao nahareo ry kede fatokisañe?
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, [shall he] not much more [clothe] you, O ye of little faith?
31 Aa kanao izay ty itarean’ Añahare, ko mihakahaka manao ty hoe: Ino ty ho hane’ay? ndra, Ino ty ho nome’ay? ndra ino ty ho sikina’ay,
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 amy t’ie hene paie’ o sandriñeo, vaho arofoanan-dRae’ areo ze paia’ areo iaby.
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek: ) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 Tsoeho hey i Fifehean’ Añaharey naho ty havantaña’e; vaho hene hatolotse anahareo.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Ko angovitañe ty hamaraiñe, fa ho vazobazore’ i hamaraiñey o azeo. Tsahatse ty andro o haembera’eo.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.
