< Matio 18 >

1 Niheo mb’amy Iesoà mb’eo henane zay o mpiama’eo nañontane ty hoe: Ia ty atao’o ho lohàñe amy fifehean-dikerañey?
AT that time came the disciples to Jesus, saying, Who is indeed the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2 Tsinikao’e ty anak’ajaja naho navotra’e aivo’ iareo ao,
And Jesus calling a little boy, set him in the midst of them,
3 le hoe re: To t’itaroñako t’ie naho tsy mitolike ho hambañe ami’ty ajaja toy, le tsy hizilike amy fifehean-dikerañey.
and said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be changed and be as little children, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself, as this little child, he shall be greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5 Ze mandrambe ty ajaja manahake toke ami’ty añarako, mandrambe ahy.
And whosoever shall receive one such little child in my name, receiveth me.
6 Ze mampitsikapy ty raike amo ajaja mpiato amakoo, le kitra’e andravaham-bato-pandisanañe ty an-kàto’e vaho avokovoko an-driake laleke ao.
And whosoever shall cause one of these little ones, who believe in me, to stumble, it were better for him that a millstone was hung at his neck, and that he was sunk in the depth of the sea.
7 Hoy abey! amo mpimone’ ty voatse toio ty amo fampitsikapiañeo! Toe tsy mahay tsy eo ty mahatsikapy, natovo’e ty hoe: Hekoheko am’ indaty mampitsikapiy.
Wo to the world because of offences! for there is a necessity that offences come: nevertheless, wo to that man by whom the offence cometh!
8 Naho mamingañ’ azo ty fità’o ndra fandia’o, kitsiho ama’o; fa hàmake himoake an-kaveloñe ao kepeke ndra doñe irehe, ta te hatolotse añ’afo bey tsy modo ao reketse fitàñe roe naho fandia roe. (aiōnios g166)
If then thy hand, or thy foot, lead thee to offend, cut them off, and cast them from thee: for it were better for thee to enter into life, halting or maimed, than having two hands or two feet to be cast into the fire, which is eternal. (aiōnios g166)
9 Aa naho mampitsikapy azo ty fihaino’o, pirito vaho atambirivirio añe; kitra’e hizilike an-kaveloñe ao fei-pihaino raike, ta t’ie hatolotse añ’afo bey ao reke-pihaino roe. (Geenna g1067)
And if thine eye lead thee to offend, pluck it out and cast it from thee, for it were better for thee to enter into life with one eye only, than having two eyes to be cast into hell-fire. (Geenna g1067)
10 Asoao tsy ho sirikae’ areo ty raike amo anak’ ajalahio; fa itaroñako te nainai’e mahaisake o ana’ i Raeko andikerañeio o anjeli’ iareoo,
See that ye despise not one of these little ones, for I say unto you, That their angels in heaven continually behold the face of my Father who is in heaven.
11 vaho fa nijihetse tsy handrombak’ o rafelahio ka i Ana’ ondatiy.
For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
12 Akore ty heve’ areo? Ie manañe añondry zato t’indaty, le mandifike añe ty raike, tsy henga’e am-bohitse ao heike hao i sivampolo-sive’ amby rey, vaho ho mb’eo hitsoeke i nandifikey?
What think you? If a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them stray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine in the mountains, and go and seek that which had strayed?
13 Ie tendreke, Eka! to t’itaroñako te handian-taroba i raikey te amy sivampolo-sive’ amby tsy nandridrìke rey.
And if he happen to find it, verily I say unto you, that he rejoiceth over it more than over the ninety and nine which never went astray.
14 Amy te tsy lahan-dRae’ areo andindìñe ao ty hahamotso raike amo kede retiañe.
Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven, that one of these little ones perish.
15 Ie henane zay, hoe t’i Iesoà amy Simona atao Petera: Ie manao hakeo ama’o ty longo’o, endaho an-tolake, ie mijanjiñe, le fa azo’o i longo’oy.
Now if thy brother sin against thee, go and reprove him between thyself and him alone; if he hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
16 Aa naho tsy mañaoñe azo re, aseseho aolo ty ondaty, f’ie tsy mijanjiñe ndra fanta inoñ’ inoñe, le anovono roe ndra raike, hiatrefa’ ty valolombeloñe telo ndra roe, amy te mahajadoñe saontsy ty valolombeloñe telo ndra roe.
But if he will not hear thee, take with thee one or two more, that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be confirmed.
17 Aa naho tsy mañaon-titike inoñe ndra sangy inon-dre, le taroño amy fivoriy; aa ie mboe tsy mete mijanjiñe i fivoriy, le ampanahafo ami’ty añombelahimavo naho ty rafelahy vaho ty piaroteñe.
But if he disregard them, inform the church: and if he disregard the church, let him be to thee as a heathen, or a publican.
18 Eka, to t’itaroñako te ze fanta fehè’ areo an-tane atoy, ro feheñe andindiñe ao. Naho ze hahà’ areo an-tane atoy, ho hahàñe andindìñe ao.
Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever things ye shall bind on earth, shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever things ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
19 Tovoñako ama’ areo ty hoe, Naho miharo rehake amy ze ihalalia’ iareo ty roe ama’ areo an-tane atoy, le hanoen-dRaeko andindìñe ao ho a iareo.
Again I say unto you, That if two of you are concurring upon earth, respecting any matter, which ye shall ask, it shall be done for them by my Father who is in heaven.
20 Ndra aia aia ivoria’ ty telo ndra roe ami’ty añarako le am’ iareo ao iraho.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
21 Le nisitsitse mb’ama’e t’i Petera, nanao ty hoe: O Rañandria, ie manao tahiñe amako ty rahalahiko, hiheveako pak’ impito hao?
Then Peter coming to him, said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
22 Hoe t’i Iesoà tama’e: Tsy anoako ty hoe Ampara’ ty fito, fa Sikal’ ami’ty fitom-polo-fito’amby.
Jesus saith to him, I tell thee not until seven times, but unto seventy times seven.
23 I fifehean-dikerañey, le ampanahafeñe ami’ty mpanjaka niambesatse nifamolily amo mpitoro’eo naho amo mpamandro’eo.
Therefore is the kingdom of heaven like unto a certain king who purposed to settle his account with his servants.
24 Ie namototse volily, pok’eo ty nisongo bogady volamena rai-ale ama’e;
And when he began to make up the account, there was brought to him one debtor, ten thousand talents in arrear:
25 aa ie tsy nanan-katolotse, le linili’ i talè’ey te haletake reketse keleiañe naho ze hanaña’e iaby, hañavake i songoy.
but not having wherewithal to pay, his lord ordered him to be sold, and his wife and his children, and all things whatsoever he possessed, and payment to be made.
26 Nibaboke aolo’ i talè’ey i mpitoroñey, nitoreo te hifereñaiña’e, handiñisa’e, fa fonga havaha’e.
Then that servant falling prostrate, paid him the most profound homage, saying, Lord, have forbearance with me, and I will pay thee all.
27 Aa le niferenaiña’ i talèy, le vinotso’e vaho hene napo’e.
Then his lord, moved with compassion towards that servant, discharged him, and forgave him the debt.
28 Fa naho niavotse i mpitoroñey le nanjo ty mpitrao-pitoroñe nanaña’e drala zato, le tsinepa’e naho finofo’e vaho hoe ty asa’ i kinabokey
But that servant going out, found one of his fellow-servants, who owed him a hundred denarii, and seizing, throttled him, saying, Pay me what thou owest.
29 Matokisa naho mahaliñisa ahy fa hene havahako.
Then his fellow-servant fell at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have forbearance with me, and I will pay thee all.
30 F’ie tsy nimete nitsanoñe aze, te mone nasese’e mb’am-balabey ao ampara’ te fonga hondroha’e.
And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay what he owed.
31 Nioni’ o mpitrao-pitoroñeo i nanoe’ey le akore ty haboseha’ iareo kanao niheo mb’amy talè’ey nitalily.
Then his fellow-servants, when they saw what was done, were exceedingly sorry, and came to their lord, and gave him an explicit account of all things that had passed.
32 Aa le kinanji’ i talè’ey vaho nanoa’e ty hoe: Ty mpitoroñe fatse toy, tsy hene niheveako hao o songo’oo amy nampihaonkaoñe’o ahiy?
Then his lord, calling him before him, said to him, Thou vile slave! all that debt I forgave thee, because thou besoughtest me:
33 Aa tsy ho nitretreze’o ka hao i mpitoro’o nihalaly ama’oy hambañe amy niheveako azoy?’
and oughtest thou not to have had compassion on thy fellow-servant, even as I had pity on thee?
34 Niviñera’ i talè’ey vaho linili’e t’ie ho samporeraheñe ampara’ te hene avaha’e i sinongo’ey.
And his lord, incensed, delivered him up to the torturers, till he should pay all that he owed him.
35 Izay ty hanoan-dRaeko andindìñe ao ama’areo naho tsy songa miheve ty longo’e an-tro-mazava.
Even so also will my heavenly Father do to you, except ye forgive every one of you his brother, from your hearts, their trespasses.
