< Matio 16 >

1 Nimb’ama’e mb’eo o Fariseo naho Tsadokeo hantsaka fañahy aze, hanolora’e viloñe boak’ andindiñe ao.
Then came the Pharises and Sadduces, and did tempt him, desiring him to shew them a signe from heauen.
2 Hoe ty natoi’ Iesoà: Ry soamiatrekeo, Ie hariva, anoe’areo ty hoe: Kanao mena i likerañey, hazava ty hamaray,
But he answered, and said vnto them, When it is euening, ye say, Faire wether: for ye skie is red.
3 ie maraindray, hoe nahareo: Ho avy anito i orañey fa milodolodo i likerañey. Ie fohi’ areo o fañè ty tarehe’ i likerañeio, akore te tsy rendre’ areo ty lili’ o sà-o.
And in the morning ye say, To day shall be a tempest: for the skie is red and lowring. O hypocrites, ye can discerne the face of the skie, and can ye not discerne the signes of the times?
4 Mipay viloñe ty tariratse tsereheñe toy, fe tsy hitoloram-biloñe naho tsy ty vilo’ i Jona mpitoky; vaho nisitake re, nienga mb’eo.
The wicked generation, and adulterous seeketh a signe, but there shall no signe be giuen it, but that signe of the Prophet Ionas: so hee left them, and departed.
5 Ie nivotrake añ’olon-driake eo t’i Iesoà le hoe re amo mpiama’eo, Halankaño mofo, vaho nijon-dakañe mindre amo mpiama’eo, fe nihaliño o mpiama’eo ty hivaty mofo.
And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread with them.
6
Then Iesus said vnto them, Take heede and beware of the leauen of the Pharises and Sadduces.
7
And they reasoned among themselues, saying, It is because we haue brought no bread.
8 le hoe t’ Iesoà am’iereo: Ino ty itsakorea’areo te tsy nivaty mofo?
But Iesus knowing it, saide vnto them, O ye of litle faith, why reason you thus among your selues, because ye haue brought no bread?
9 Tsy tiahi’ areo hao i mofo limey naho i lahilahy efats’ arivo rey vaho ty hamaro’ o mozete nisisao?
Doe ye not yet perceiue, neither remember the fiue loaues, when there were fiue thousand men, and how many baskets tooke ye vp?
10 ndra i mofo fito’ indaty efats’arivo rey, naho ty hamaro i haron-kiseñe rinambe’areo rezay?
Neither the seuen loaues when there were foure thousande men, and howe many baskets tooke ye vp?
11 Aa le maharendreha te tsy mofo sotra i vinolakoy fe inao ty itaroñako: Itaò ty sata’ o Fariseo naho Tsadokeo.
Why perceiue ye not that I said not vnto you concerning bread, that ye shoulde beware of the leauen of the Pharises and Sadduces?
12 Aa le napota’iareo te tsy ty lalivay mofo i nitsarae’ey, fa ty fañanara’ o Fariseoo naho o Tsadokeo.
Then vnderstood they that he had not said that they should beware of the leauen of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharises, and Sadduces.
13 Ie nandoake an-tane Siria naho an-tane’ Filofe añe t’i Iesoà, le hoe ty ontane’e amo mpiama’eo: Ino ty saontsie’ ondatio ahy?
Nowe when Iesus came into the coastes of Cesarea Philippi, hee asked his disciples, saying, Whome doe men say that I, the sonne of man am?
14 Le hoe iereo ama’e: Ty ila’e: i Jaona Mpandipotse; ty ila’e, i Elia; vaho ty ila’e, i Jeremia’ ndra ty raike amo mpitokio.
And they said, Some say, Iohn Baptist: and some, Elias: and others, Ieremias, or one of the Prophets.
15 Aa hoe t’i Iesoà tam’ iereo: Ia ka ty anoe’ areo ahy?
He said vnto them, But whome say ye that I am?
16 Tinoi’ i Simona ty hoe: Ihe i Norizañey, Anak’ Andrianañahare veloñe nivotrake ami’ty voatse toy.
Then Simon Peter answered, and said, Thou art that Christ, the Sonne of the liuing God.
17 Hoe t’i Iesoà tama’e: Haha irehe Simona Ana’ i Jaona amy te tsy nofotse naho lio ty nampibentatse ama’o fa t’i Raeko andindìñe ao.
And Iesus answered, and saide to him, Blessed art thou, Simon, the sonne of Ionas: for flesh and blood hath not reueiled it vnto thee, but my Father which is in heauen.
18 Hoe iraho ama’o: Vongam-bato irehe, naho haoreko ami’ty lamilamy toy ty anjombam-pitalahoako. ze tsy hahafitroara’ o lalam-bein-tsikeokeokeo. (Hadēs g86)
And I say also vnto thee, that thou art Peter, and vpon this rocke I will builde my Church: and ye gates of hell shall not ouercome it. (Hadēs g86)
19 Le hatoloko azo i lahin-dakilem-pifehean-dikerañey; ze fehè’o an-tane atoy le fa nifeheñe andindìñe ao, vaho ze hahà’o an-tane atoy le fa nihahàñe andindìñ’ao.
And I will giue vnto thee the keyes of the kingdome of heauen, and whatsoeuer thou shalt binde vpon earth, shalbe bound in heauen: and whatsoeuer thou shalt loose on earth, shall be loosed in heauen.
20 Hinatahata’e amy zao o mpiama’eo ty tsy hitalily am’ondatio te ie i Norizañey.
Then hee charged his disciples, that they should tell no man that he was Iesus that Christ.
21 Namototse nampalange amo mpiama’eo amy zao t’Iesoà t’ie tsy mahay tsy homb’e Ierosaleme mb’eo hijale ami’ty hatsivokara’ ty maro boak’ amo mpisoroñeo naho amo roandria’ ondatio ampara’ te havetrake, f’ie hatroatse ami’ty andro faha-telo.
From that time foorth Iesus beganne to shewe vnto his disciples, that he must goe vnto Hierusalem, and suffer many thinges of the Elders, and of the hie Priestes, and Scribes, and be slaine, and be raised againe the thirde day.
22 Natola’ i Petera le nendaha’e ami’ty hoe: Lonike te ho lavits’ Azo izay, Talè
Then Peter tooke him aside, and began to rebuke him, saying, Master, pitie thy selfe: this shall not be vnto thee.
23 Nitolike t’i Iesoà, le nitalahara’e naho nanao ty hoe: Soike, ty mpañìnje, ko zehare’o; tsy haoñe’o ty tsaran’ Añahare, fa o reha’ ondatio.
Then he turned backe, and said vnto Peter, Get thee behinde me, Satan: thou art an offence vnto me, because thou vnderstandest not the thinges that are of God, but the thinges that are of men.
24 Le hoe t’i Iesoà amo mpiama’eo: Ze te hañorik’ ahy, soa re te hitety vatañe, hijiny i hatae ajaley, toe hamoe aiñe, vaho hañorik’ ahy.
Iesus then saide to his disciples, If any man will follow me, let him forsake himselfe: and take vp his crosse, and follow me.
25 Ze te handrombake ty fiai’e ro hamoe aze ty amako, fe ze mamoe ty havelo’e ami’ty voatse toy ty amako ro handrombake aze ho ami’ty havelo’ ty voatse ho avy.
For whosoeuer will saue his life, shall lose it: and whosoeuer shall lose his life for my sake, shall finde it.
26 Ino ty tombo’e ho a ondatio te fonga azo’e ty voatse toy, vaho mamoe’ay kitro katroke? Fampitsalohañe soa ho a ondatio hao ty hahazoa’e o raha momoke henaneo, hanolora’e ty fiai’e hizakà’ i tsikeokeokey?
For what shall it profite a man though he should winne the whole worlde, if hee lose his owne soule? or what shall a man giue for recompence of his soule?
27 Fa hitotsake atoy i Anan’ Añaharey ami’ty engen-dRae’e an-dindiñe ao rekets’ o anjeli’eo hanambe ondatio sindre ty amo sata’eo.
For the Sonne of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his Angels, and then shall he giue to euery man according to his deedes.
28 Eka! to t’itaroñako te, tsy handia havilasy o ila’e mijohañe etoañe, ampara’ te isa’ iareo mitotsake eo i Anak’ Andrianañaharey am-pifehea’ey ao.
Verely I say vnto you, there bee some of them that stande here, which shall not taste of death, till they haue seene the Sonne of man come in his kingdome.
