< Fitomaniana 5 >
1 Tiahio, ry Iehovà, i nifetsak’ ama’ay zay; vazohò vaho oniño ty fisalara’ay!
Remember, O Jehovah, what is come upon us: Behold, and see our reproach.
2 Natolotse amo ambahinio ty lova’ay, amo rene-taneo o akiba’aio.
Our inheritance is turned unto strangers, Our houses unto aliens.
3 Bode zahay henaneo, toe bode rae; remavoiñe o rene’aio.
We are orphans and fatherless; Our mothers are as widows.
4 Tsy mete tsy vilie’ay ty rano hinome’ay; kaloeñe o hatae avori’aio.
We have drunken our water for money; Our wood is sold unto us.
5 Ampisoañeñe o hatò’aio; màmake zahay tsy maharendre-pitofàñe.
Our pursuers are upon our necks: We are weary, and have no rest.
6 Fa nanolo-pitàñe amy Mitsraime zahay naho amy Asore, hitakara’ay mofo mahàtsake.
We have given the hand to the Egyptians, And to the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread.
7 Nandilatse o roae’aio; tsy eo ka iereo; zahay avao ty mivave o hakeo’eo.
Our fathers sinned, and are not; And we have borne their iniquities.
8 Fehe’ o ondevoo, fe tsy eo ty hamotsots’anay am-pità’ iareo.
Servants rule over us: There is none to deliver us out of their hand.
9 Mampamoe’ aiñe ty ahazoa’ay haneñe, amy fibara an-dratraratray.
We get our bread at the peril of our lives, Because of the sword of the wilderness.
10 Mahamainte ty holi’ay hoe toñake I kerè matrovokey.
Our skin is black like an oven, Because of the burning heat of famine.
11 Vahorañe e Tsione ao o rakemba’aio, naho amo rova’ Iehodào o somondrara’aio.
They ravished the women in Zion, The virgins in the cities of Judah.
12 Aradorado am-pità’e o roandriañeo; tsy iasiañe ty lahara’ o androanavio.
Princes were hanged up by their hand: The faces of elders were not honored.
13 Azitse handisañe ty ajalahy naho midaleandaleañe o jolingao te mijiny hatae.
The young men bare the mill; And the children stumbled under the wood.
14 Napo’ o androanavio ty lalam-bey, nado o ajalahio ty bekobeko.
The elders have ceased from the gate, The young men from their music.
15 Nijihetse ty hafalean’ arofo’ay; nifotetse ho fandalàñe o tsinja’aio.
The joy of our heart is ceased; Our dance is turned into mourning.
16 Po-tsabaka zahay; feh’ohatse fa niota!
The crown is fallen from our head: Woe unto us! for we have sinned.
17 Izay ty mahasiloke o tro’aio, izay ty mahalopelope o fihaino’aio;
For this our heart is faint; For these things our eyes are dim;
18 toe i Vohi-Tsione mangoakoakey; mitingañ’ ao o farasio.
For the mountain of Zion, which is desolate: The foxes walk upon it.
19 Fa Ihe ry Iehovà, nainai’e tsy modo ty fifehea’o; pak’amo tariratse fara-mandimbeo ty fiambesa’o.
Thou, O Jehovah, abidest for ever; Thy throne is from generation to generation.
20 Akore t’ie naforintse’o? Amoea’o andro maro hao zahay?
Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, [And] forsake us so long time?
21 Ampolio ama’o, ry Iehovà, hibodaña’ay; vaò manahake o andro taoloo o andro’aio—
Turn thou us unto thee, O Jehovah, and we shall be turned; Renew our days as of old.
22 Fa naitoa’o zafezanake, naho loho niviñera’o.
But thou hast utterly rejected us; Thou art very wroth against us.
