1 Tam-bohibohi’ i Efraime amy zay t’indaty atao Mikà.
And there was a man of mount Ephraim, whose name was Micah.
2 Le hoe re aman-drene’e, I volafoty arivo-tsi-zato nikamereñe ama’oy, i nititihe’o am-pitsanoñakoy, ingo te amako i volafotiy; izaho ty nandrambe aze. Le hoe ty rene’e, Tahie’ Iehovà irehe anako.
And he said to his mother, The eleven hundred shekels of silver that were taken from thee, about which thou didst curse, and spoke of also in my ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it. And his mother said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my son.
3 Aa ie nahere’e aman-drene’e i volafoty arivo-tsi-zatoy, le hoe ty rene’e: Toe hene navìko am’ Iehovà boak’ an-tañako ho a i ana-dahikoy i volafotiy, hitsenea’e sare pinàtepàtetse naho sare trinanake; aa le habaliko ama’o.
And when he had restored the eleven hundred shekels of silver to his mother, his mother said, I had wholly dedicated the silver to the LORD from my hand for my son, to make a graven image and a molten image: now therefore I will restore it to thee.
4 Aa ie nampoly ama’e i volafotiy, le nandrambesan-drene’e ty volafoty roanjato naho natolo’e ami’ty mpanao volafoty le namboare’e sare pinatetse naho sare trinanake, vaho tan-kiboho’ i Mikà ao izay.
Yet he restored the money to his mother; and his mother took two hundred shekels of silver, and gave them to the silversmith, who made of it a graven image and a molten image: and they were in the house of Micah.
5 Ie niañoñ’ay t’i Mikà, le nanan-kivohon-drahare, le nitsene hareañe naho terafime vaho nañory ty ana’e ho mpisoroñe
And the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest.
6 Ie henane zay, tsy amam-panjaka t’Israele vaho songa nanao ze tea’e am-pihaino’e ao ondatio.
In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
7 Nisy ajalahy nte-Betlekheme e Iehoda, fifokoa’ Iehoda, nte-Levý, nañialo ao.
And there was a young man out of Bethlehemjudah of the family of Judah, who was a Levite, and he sojourned there.
8 Niakatse an-drova Betlekheme e Iehoda re, hañialo amy ze toetse ho zoe’e; vaho ie amy lia’ey nivotrake Efraime an-kiboho’ i Mikà.
And the man departed out of the city from Bethlehemjudah to sojourn where he could find a place: and he came to mount Ephraim to the house of Micah, as he journeyed.
9 Le hoe t’i Mikà ama’e: Boak’ aia v’iheo? vaho hoe re ama’e: nte Levý iraho boake Betlekheme e Iehoda ao, mitaveañe mb’ amy ze mete hañialoako.
And Micah said to him, Where do you come from? And he said to him, I am a Levite of Bethlehemjudah, and I go to sojourn where I may find a place.
10 Le hoe t’i Mikà ama’e: Mimoneña amako atoa, soa t’ie ho rae naho mpisoroñe amako, le ho tolorako volafoty folo boa-taoñe naho fisikiñe vaho ty mahakama’o. Aa le nimoak’ ao i nte-Leviy.
And Micah said to him, Dwell with me, and be to me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten shekels of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy sustenance. So the Levite went in.
11 Ninò’ i nte-Leviy ty himoneñe amy ‘ndatiy; vaho ni-hoe anak’ama’e i ajalahiy.
And the Levite was content to dwell with the man; and the young man was to him as one of his sons.
12 Aa le noriza’ i Mikà i nte-Leviy vaho nanoeñe mpisoroñe i ajalahiy an-kiboho’ i Mikà ao.
And Micah consecrated the Levite; and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah.
13 Le hoe t’i Mikà: Fantako te hañasoa ahiko t’Iehovà kanao aman-te-Levý ho mpisoroñe.
Then said Micah, Now I know that the LORD will do me good, seeing I have a Levite for my priest.
