1 Naho fa hene tafatsàke Iardeney i valobohòkey, le nitsara ty hoe am’ Iehosoa t’Iehovà:
And it cometh to pass, when all the nation hath completed to pass over the Jordan, that Jehovah speaketh unto Joshua, saying,
2 Rambeso ondaty folo-ro’ amby boak’ am’ ondatioo; songa ondaty raike ze fifokoañe,
'Take for you out of the people twelve men, one man — one man out of a tribe;
3 le ifantoho ty hoe: Mandrambesa vato folo-ro’amby boak’ am’ Iardeney ao, amy ijohañam-pandia’ i mpisoroñe reiy, naho endeso hitsake mindre ama’ areo vaho apoho amy tobe hialeña’ areo te anitoy.
and command ye them, saying, Take up for you from this [place], from the midst of the Jordan, from the established standing-place of the feet of the priests, twelve stones, and ye have removed them over with you, and placed them in the lodging-place in which ye lodge to-night.'
4 Aa le kinanji’ Iehosoa indaty folo-ro’amby nedre’e amo ana’ Israeleo rey; sindre ondaty raike ze fifokoa’e.
And Joshua calleth unto the twelve men whom he prepared out of the sons of Israel, one man — one man out of a tribe;
5 Le hoe t’Iehosoa am’ iereo, Mitsàha aolo’ i vatam-pañina’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’ areoy an-teñateña’ Iardeney vaho songa mandrambesa vato raik’ an-tsoro’e ty ami’ ty ia’ o fifokoa’ o ana’ Israeleoo;
and Joshua saith to them, 'Pass over before the ark of Jehovah your God unto the midst of the Jordan and lift up for you each, one stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel,
6 ho viloñe ama’ areo, aa naho mañontane anahareo o ana’ areoo amy añey, ty hoe: Inoñ’ ama’ areo o vato retoañeo?
so that this is a sign in your midst, when your children ask hereafter, saying, What [are] these stones to you?
7 Le ty hoe ty hatalili’ areo: Amy te nitampak’ aolo’ i vatam-pañina’ Iehovày o rano Iardeneio; ie nitsake Iardeney, le nitampake o rano’ Iardeneio; vaho ho faniahiañe o ana’ Israeleo nainai’e o vato retoañe.
that ye have said to them, Because the waters of the Jordan were cut off, at the presence of the ark of the covenant of Jehovah; in its passing over into the Jordan were the waters of the Jordan cut off; and these stones have been for a memorial to the sons of Israel — to the age.'
8 Aa le nanoe’ o ana’ Israeleo i namantoha’ Iehosoay, naho rinambe’ iereo ty vato folo-ro’ amby boak’ anteñateña’ Iardeney ao, ty amy tsinara’ Iehovà am’ Iehosoay, ty ami’ty ia’ o fifokoa’ o ana’ Israeleo, naho nendese’ iereo nitsake mindre am’ iereo mb’ an-tobe mb’eo vaho napo’ iereo ey.
And the sons of Israel do so as Joshua commanded, and take up twelve stones out of the midst of the Jordan, as Jehovah hath spoken unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel, and remove them over with them unto the lodging-place, and place them there,
9 Natroa’ Iehosoa añivo’ Iardeney ka ty vato folo-ro’ amby amy nijohañam-pandia’ i mpisoroñe nitarazo i vatam-pañinay rey vaho mbe eo izay henaneo.
even the twelve stones hath Joshua raised up out of the midst of the Jordan, the place of the standing of the feet of the priests bearing the ark of the covenant, and they are there unto this day.
10 Aa le nijohañe añivo’ Iardeney o mpisoroñe nitarazo i vataio ampara’ te niheneke i nampitaroñe’ Iehovà Iehosoa am’ ondatioy ty amy nandilia’ i Mosè Iehosoa iabiy; vaho nalisa nitsake mb’eo ondatio.
And the priests bearing the ark are standing in the midst of the Jordan till the completion of the whole thing which Jehovah commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua, and the people haste and pass over.
11 Naho fa tafatsàke ondaty iabio, le nitsake ka i vatam-pañinan’ Añaharey naho i mpisoroñe rey añatrefa’ ondatio.
And it cometh to pass when all the people have completed to pass over, that the ark of Jehovah passeth over, and the priests, in the presence of the people;
12 Nitsake reke-pialiañe aolo’ o ana’ Israeleo o ana’ i Reobeneo naho o ana’ i Gadeo naho i vakim-pifokoa’ i Menasèy ty amy nisaontsie’ i Mosè am’ iereoy;
and the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh, pass over, by fifties, before the sons of Israel, as Moses had spoken unto them;
13 va’e efats’ ale reke-pialiañe veka’e hialy ty nionjoñe mb’an-kotakotak’ añatrefa’ Iehovà, mb’a monto’ Ieriko mb’eo.
about forty thousand, armed ones of the host, passed over before Jehovah for battle, unto the plains of Jericho.
14 Naonjo’ Iehovà ampahaoniña’ Israele iaby t’Iehosoa amy andro zay; vaho nañeveñe ama’e manahake ty nañeveña’ iareo amy Mosè amo hene andro niveloma’eo.
On that day hath Jehovah made Joshua great in the eyes of all Israel, and they reverence him, as they reverenced Moses, all days of his life.
15 Nitsara amy Iehosoa t’Iehovà, ami’ty hoe:
And Jehovah speaketh unto Joshua, saying,
16 Ampitroaro boak’ am’ Iardeney o mpisoroñe mitarazo i vatam-pañinaio.
'Command the priests bearing the ark of the testimony, and they come up out of the Jordan.'
17 Aa le nandily amy mpisoroñe rey t’Iehosoa, nanao ty hoe: Mitroara amo Iardeneio.
And Joshua commandeth the priests, saying, 'Come ye up out of the Jordan.'
18 Naho niakatse boak’ an-teñateña’ Iardene ao i mpisoroñe rey nitarazo i vatam-pañina’ Iehovày, vata’e nitroatse an-tamboho eo o lelam-pandia’ i mpisoroñe reio le nimpoly an-toe’e o rano’ Iardeneio, nanginahina añ’olo’e iabio manahake te taolo.
And it cometh to pass, in the coming up of the priests bearing the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the midst of the Jordan — the soles of the feet of the priests have been drawn up into the dry ground — and the waters of the Jordan turn back to their place, and go as heretofore over all its banks.
19 Nitroatse Iardeney amy andro faha-folo’ i volam-baloha’eiy ondatio vaho nitobe e Gilgale an-dafe atiñana’ Ieriko eo.
And the people have come up out of the Jordan on the tenth of the first month, and encamp in Gilgal, in the extremity east of Jericho;
20 Le natroa’ Iehosoa e Gilgale eo i vato folo-ro’amby nakare’ iareo am’ Iardeney rey;
and these twelve stones, which they have taken out of the Jordan, hath Joshua raised up in Gilgal.
21 vaho nitaroñe’e amo ana’ Israeleo ty hoe: Aa naho añontanea’ o ana’ areoo an-droae’e añ’ andro añe ty hoe: Ino o vato retoañe?
And he speaketh unto the sons of Israel, saying, 'When your sons ask their fathers hereafter, saying, What [are] these stones?
22 le hampandrendrehe’ areo o ana’ areoo ty hoe: Nitsake Iardeney an-tane mipintampintañe t’Israele.
then ye have caused your sons to know, saying, On dry land Israel passed over this Jordan;
23 Amy te nimaihe’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’ areo aolo’ areo ty rano Iardene ampara’ t’ie tafatsàke, manahake ty nanoe’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’ areo i Ria-Binday, ie nimaihe’e añatrefan-tikañe ampara’ te tafatsake,
because Jehovah your God dried up the waters of the Jordan at your presence, till your passing over, as Jehovah your God did to the Red Sea which He dried up at our presence till our passing over;
24 hahafohina’ ze kila ondati’ ty tane toy te maozatse ty fità’ Iehovà, hañeveña’e am’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’ areo nainai’e.
so that all the people of the land do know the hand of Jehovah that it [is] strong, so that ye have reverenced Jehovah your God all the days.'
