< Josoa 20 >
1 Nitsara am’ Iehosoa t’Iehovà ami’ty hoe:
And the Lord spoke to Joshua, saying,
2 Saontsio amo ana’ Israeleo ty hoe: Tendreo o rovam-pitsolohañe nitaroñeko ama’ areo am-pità’ i Mosèo;
Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Assign the cities of refuge, [of] which I spoke to you by Moses.
3 ie amy zay, i mañoho-doza ama’ ondaty tsy nitsatrie’ey, ty hilay mb’eo, toe ho fitsoloham-pamale-fate.
[Even] a refuge to the slayer who has struck a man unintentionally; and the cities shall be to you a refuge, and the slayer shall not be put to death by the avenger of blood, until he have stood before the congregation for judgement.
4 Ie hitriban-day mb’ ami’ty raik’ amy rova rezay, naho hijohañe an-dalambei’ i rovay, naho hitaroñe ty aze an-dravembia’ o androanavi’ i rovaio; le hampihovae’ iareo amy rovay vaho ho tolora’ iareo toetse himoneña’e am’ iareo.
And Joshua separated Cades in Galilee in the mount Nephthali, and Sychem in the mount Ephraim, and the city of Arboc; this is Chebron, in the mountain of Juda.
5 Naho mañoridañe aze i mpamale-fatey le tsy hasese’ iereo am-pità’e i namonoy amy te tsy ni-satrie’e ty nanjevoñe i rañe’ey ie tsy niheje’e taolo.
And beyond Jordan he appointed Bosor in the wilderness in the plain out of the tribe of Ruben, and Aremoth in Galaad out of the tribe of Gad, and Gaulon in the country of Basan out of the tribe of Manasse.
6 Himoneña’e i rovay ampara’ te mijohañe añatrefa’ ty fivory ty hizaka aze; am-para’ ty fihomaha’ ty mpisorom-bey henane zay; himpoly amy zao i mpamonoy mb’ an-drova’e naho mb’añ’akiba’e, mb’ amy rova nihirifa’e an-daiy.
These [were] the cities selected for the sons of Israel, and for the stranger dwelling amongst them, that every one who smites a soul unintentionally should flee there, that he should not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he should stand before the congregation for judgement.
7 Aa le navì’ iareo ty Kedese e Galilà am-bohibohi’ i Naftalý ao naho i Sekeme am-bohibohi’ i Efraime ao, vaho i Kiriate-arbà (i Kebrone Izay), am-bohibohi’ Iehoda ao.
