So then the boundary of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by their families, —reached unto the boundary of Edom, the desert of Zin southward, on the extreme south;
2 Ty efe-tane’ iareo atimo, le boak’ añ’ olo’ i Riake Siray hirik’ amy fitolian-dakañe mitolike mañatimoy;
so their south boundary beginneth at the end of the Salt Sea, —from the bay that turneth to the south;

and goeth forth on the south of the cliffs of Akrabbim, and crosseth over to Zin, and goeth up on the south of Kadesh-barnea, —and passeth over by Hezron, and goeth up to Addar, and turneth round to Karka;
4 ie boak’ ao le miary mb’e Atsmone vaho miakatse mb’ amy oñe’ i Mitsraimey, le mitakatse i riak’ ahandrefañey i efe’ey. Izay ty efe’o atimo.
and passeth over to Azmon, and goeth forth at the ravine of Egypt, and so the extensions of the boundary are to the sea. This, shall be your south boundary.
5 I Riake Siray ty efe’e atiñanañe pak’ am’ Iardeney. Le ty efe’e avaratse boak’ am-pitolian-daka’ i riakey, am-binàñe’ Iardeney,
And, a boundary eastward, is the Salt Sea, as far as the end of the Jordan. And, the boundary on the north side, is from the bay of the sea, from the end of the Jordan.
6 le mitohy mb’e Betehoglà naho miary avara’ i Bete’ arabà; ie boak’ ao mionjomb’ am-bato’ i Bohane, ana’ i Reobene mb’eo i efetsey.
And the boundary goeth up Beth-hoglah, and passeth over, on the north, by Beth-arabah, —and the boundary goeth up by the Stone of Bohan, son of Reuben;
7 Mibalike mb’e Debire boak’ am-bavatane’ i Akore i efetsey le mañavaratse, mitolike mb’e Gilgale, aolo’ ty fitroara’ i Adomime, atimo i sakay; miary amo rano’ i Ensemeseo i efetsey vaho miakatse amy rano migoangoa’ i Rogeley,
and the boundary goeth up towards Debir, out of the vale of Achor, then northward, turning unto Gilgal, which is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the ravine, —then the boundary passeth over unto the waters of En-shemesh, and so the extensions thereof are unto En-rogel:
8 le mionjomb’ amy vavatanen’ ana’ i Hinome añ’ ila’ i nte-Iebosiý mañatimo; izay t’Ierosalaime, naho manganike mb’ an-dengom-bohitse aolo’ i vavatane’ i Hinomey mañandrefa ami’ty figadoña’ i vavatanen-dRafày, mañavaratse;
then ascendeth the boundary by the valley of the son of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite, on the south, the same, is Jerusalem, —and the boundary goeth up unto the top of the mountain which faceth the valley of Hinnom, to the west, which is at the end of the Vale of Giants, northwards;
9 miary ambone’ i vohitsey i efetsey pak’ amy rano migoangoa’ i Neftoà naho miakatse mb’ amo rova’ am-bohi’ i Efroneo mb’eo; le miary Efrone i efetsey pake Baalà; ie i Kiriat-iearime.
and the boundary turneth round, from the top of the mountain, unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and goeth out unto the cities of Mount Ephron, —then the boundary turneth round to Baalah, the same, is Kiriath-jearim;
10 Ie amy zay miolake boake Baalà mañandrefa pak’ am-bohi-Seire naho miary mb’ añila’ avara’ i vohi’ Iearimey mb’eo—i Kesalone zay, le mizotso mb’e Bete-Semese mb’eo vaho miary mb’e Timnà mb’eo.
then the boundary goeth round from Baalah westward, unto Mount Seir, and passeth over unto the slope of Mount Yearim, on the north, the same, is Chesalon, —and descendeth Bethshemesh, and passeth over Timnah;
11 Le miary añ’ ila’ i Ekrone mañavaratse i efetsey; le miary mb’e Sikrone mb’eo ty efe’e naho mb’ amy Baalà naho miakatse mb’e Iabnile; vaho miakatse mb’ an-driak’ añe i efe’ey.
then the boundary goeth forth unto the side of Ekron, northward, then the boundary turneth round towards Shikkeron, and crosseth over Mount Baalah, and goeth out at Jabneel, —and the extensions of the boundary are to the sea.
12 Ty efe’e ahandrefa, le i olon-driake jabajabay. Ie ty efe-tane’ o ana’ Iehodao mb’eo mb’eo ty amo hasavereña’eo.
And, as a west boundary, are the great sea and coast. This, is the boundary of the sons of Judah, round about, by their families.
13 Natolo’e amy Kalebe’ ana’ Iefonè ty ila’ o anjara’ o ana’ Iehodaoo, ty amy nandilia’ Iehovà Iehosoay, rekets’ i Kiriate-Arbà, toe rae’ i Anàke t’i Arbà; ty rova atao Kebrone.
And, to Caleb, son of Jephunneh, gave he a portion, in the midst of the sons of Judah, at the bidding of Yahweh, by Joshua, —even the City of Arba, father of Anak, the same, is Hebron.
14 Natao i Kalebe soike i ana-dahi’ telo’ i Anàke rey: i Sesay naho i Ahimane naho i Talmay, i ana’ i Anàke rey.
And Caleb dispossessed from thence, the three sons of Anak, —Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak.
15 Ie boak’ ao le nionjomb’ amo mpimone’ i Debireo mb’eo; natao Kiriate-sefere ty añara’ i Debire taolo.
And he went up from thence, against the inhabitants of Debir, —now, the name of Debir, formerly, was Kiriath-sepher.
16 Le hoe t’i Kalebe, Hatoloko amy ze manjevoñe i Kiriate-sefere vaho mahatavañe aze t’i Aksàe anak’ ampelako ho vali’e.
Then said Caleb, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and captureth it, I will give unto him Achsah, my daughter, to wife.
17 Aa le tinava’ i Otniele ana’i Kenaze rahalahi’ i Kalebe vaho natolo’e aze t’i Aksae anak’ ampela’e ho tañanjomba’e.
And Othniel son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, captured it, —so he gave unto him Achsah, his daughter, to wife.
18 Ie amy zao, naho nasese ama’e i ampelay, le nosihe’e ty hihalaly tetek’ aman-drae’e; aa ie nizotso amy borìke’ey, le hoe ty asa’ i Kalebe ama’e: Ino o paia’oo?
And it came to pass, when she came, that she moved him to ask of her father a field, and, when she alighted from off the ass, Caleb said unto her—What aileth thee?
19 Hoe re: Tatao iraho, kanao tinolo’o tane atimo ao, ehe itoloro rano manganahana. Aa le natolo’e aze i Rano Manganahana Amboney naho i Rano Manganahana Ambaney.
And she said—Give me a present, for, dry land, hast thou given me, therefore must thou give me, pools of water. So he gave her upper pools and lower pools.
