< Josoa 14 >

1 Irezao o linova’ o ana’ Israeleo an-tane Kanàneo, o zinara’ i Eleazare mpisoroñe naho Iehosoa ana’ i None naho o talèn’ anjomban-droaem-pifokoan’ ana’ Israeleo am’ iereo ho fanañañe;
And these are the inheritances which the children of Israel took in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers’ [houses] of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed unto them,
2 an-tsapake ty nahazoañe o lovao, ty amy linili’ Iehovà am-pità’ i Mosèy ho a i fifokoañe sive rey naho i vaki’eiy—
by the lot of their inheritance, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses, for the nine tribes, and for the half tribe.
3 amy te natolo’ i Mosè ty lova’ i fifokoa roe naho vaki’e rey alafe’ Iardeney añe; fe tsy nanolora’e anjara am’ iareo ao o nte-Levio.
For Moses had given the inheritance of the two tribes and the half tribe beyond Jordan: but unto the Levites he gave none inheritance among them.
4 Roe ‘nio ty fifokoa’ i ana’ Iosefe rey, i Menasè naho i Efraime; vaho tsy nimea’ iareo anjara o nte-Levio naho tsy o rova fimoneña’ iareoo naho ty tane fiandrazañe mañohoke iareo ho amo hare’eo naho ho famahanañe iareo;
For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: and they gave no portion unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for their cattle and for their substance.
5 ze nandilia’ Iehovà i Mosèy, le nanoe’ o ana’ Israeleo, amy fanjarañe i taneiy.
As the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did, and they divided the land.
6 Nifanontoñe am’ Iehosoa amy zao o ana’ Iehoda e Gilgaleo; le hoe t’i Kalebe ana’ Iefonè nte-Kenize ama’e: Fohi’o i entañe tsinara’ Iehovà amy Mosè ondatin’ Añahare ty amako naho ama’o e Kadese-barnea añey.
Then the children of Judah drew nigh unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the LORD spake unto Moses the man of God concerning me and concerning thee in Kadesh-barnea.
7 Ni-efa-polo taon-draho te nirahe’ i Mosè mpitoro’ Iehovà boake Kadese-barnea hitampoñe amy taney ao; vaho nimpoly ninday ty entan-troko.
Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadesh-barnea to spy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart.
8 Toe nampitronake ty arofo’ ondatio o rahalahy nindre lia amakoo; fe Iehovà Andrianañahareko avao ty noriheko.
Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the LORD my God.
9 Nifanta amy andro zay t’i Mosè, ami’ty hoe: Toe ho lovae’o naho o ana’oo nainai’e o tane liniam-pandia’oo, amy te norihe’o ami’ty halifora’e t’Iehovà Andrianañahareko.
And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy foot hath trodden shall be an inheritance to thee and to thy children for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God.
10 Ie amy zao, hehe te nitana’ Iehovà velon-draho, amy tsara’ey, i efa-polo-lim’ amby taoñe boak’ amy andro nitsarà’ Iehovà amy Mosè i entañe zaiy, ie nirererere am-patrambey añe t’Israele; aa le an-taom-balo-polo-lim’ amby iraho henaneo.
And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he spake, these forty and five years, from the time that the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while Israel walked in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.
11 Fe mira amy andro nañiraha’ i Mosè ahiy ty hafatrarako androany; manahake ty haozarako henane zay ty haozarako henane zao, hahafialiako naho hiavotako vaho himoahako.
As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war and to go out and to come in.
12 Aa ie henaneo, atoloro ahy ty vohitse toy, i tsinara’ Iehovà amy andro zaiy, ie jinanji’o amy andro zay te ao o nte-Anàkeo, aman-drova jabajaba naho fatratse; hera hañimb’ ahy t’Iehovà vaho ho roaheko, ty amy tsara’ Iehovày.
Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakim were there, and cities great and fenced: it may be that the LORD will be with me, and I shall drive them out, as the LORD spake.
13 Aa le tinata’ Iehosoa; vaho natolo’e amy Kalebe ana’ Iefonè ty Kebrone ho lova.
And Joshua blessed him; and he gave Hebron unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh for an inheritance.
14 Aa le ninjare lova’ i Kalebe ana’ Iefonè nte-Kenize t’i Kebrone, ampara o andro zao; amy te norihe’e an-kaliforan-troke t’Iehovà Andrianañahare’ Israele.
Therefore Hebron became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, unto this day; because that he wholly followed the LORD, the God of Israel.
15 Kiriate-arbà ty añara’ i Kebrone taolo, fa nifanalolahy amo nte-Anàke iabio t’i Arbà. Nitofa amy aliy i taney henane zay.
Now the name of Hebron beforetime was Kirjath-arba; [which Arba was] the greatest man among the Anakim. And the land had rest from war.
