< Jona 2 >
1 Nihalaly am’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’e, an-tro’ i fiañey ao t’Ionà,
Then Jonah prayed to the LORD, his God, out of the fish’s belly.
2 ami’ty hoe, Nitoreo am’ Iehovà amy fisotriakoy, le tinoi’e; nikoiake boak’ an-Tsikeokeok’ ao, vaho jinanji’o ty feoko. (Sheol )
He said, “I called because of my affliction to the LORD. He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried. You heard my voice. (Sheol )
3 Fa navokovoko’o an-daleke ao iraho, an-teñateña’ o riakeo ao; nandipots’ ahy o kinera’eo; niary amboneko eo ze hene alo’o naho onja’o.
For you threw me into the depths, in the heart of the seas. The flood was all around me. All your waves and your billows passed over me.
4 Aa le hoe iraho, nahifike tsy ho isam-pihaino’o; fa ho toliheko indraike i kivoho’o miavakey.
I said, ‘I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again towards your holy temple.’
5 Niarikoboñe ahy o ranoo, pak’an-troko, niariseho amako i lalekey; vinandibandi’ o lomotseo ty lohako.
The waters surrounded me, even to the soul. The deep was around me. The weeds were wrapped around my head.
6 Nizotso mb’ am-baha’ o vohitseo; nañarikatok’ahy kitro katroke o tsotsò’ ty tane toio; fe nakare’o boak’ an-kibory ao ty haveloko, ry Iehovà Andrianañahareko.
I went down to the bottoms of the mountains. The earth barred me in forever; yet you have brought my life up from the pit, LORD my God.
7 Ie nitoirañe an-troko ao ty fiaiko, le nahatiahy Iehovà, vaho niheo mb’ama’o an-kivoho’o miavake ao ty halaliko.
“When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD. My prayer came in to you, into your holy temple.
8 Tsambolitio’ o mpañaon-kakoaham- bandeo ty fiferenaiñañe ama’e.
Those who regard vain idols forsake their own mercy.
9 Fe hañenga soroñe ama’o raho am-peom-pañandriañañe; havahako i ni-fantàkoy, fa boak’ am’ Iehovà ty fandrombahañe.
But I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving. I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation belongs to the LORD.”
10 Aa le nafanto’ Iehovà i fiañey, vaho naloa’e an-tamboho ey t’Ionà.
Then the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah on the dry land.
