but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

Now very early in the morning, he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him. He sat down and taught them.

The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman taken in adultery. Having set her in the middle,

they told him, “Teacher, we found this woman in adultery, in the very act.
5 Toe nandily antika amy Hake ao t’i Mosè t’ie ifetsaham-bato; ino mb-arè ty asa’o?
Now in our law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. What then do you say about her?”

They said this testing him, that they might have something to accuse him of. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with his finger.
7 Aa ie nimane ontane ama’e iareo, le niongake naho nanoa’e ty hoe: Ty tsy aman-tahiñe ama’areo, ee t’ie ty hametsa-bato aolo.
But when they continued asking him, he looked up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her.”
8 Niondreke indraike re, nanokitse an-tane eo
Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground with his finger.
9 O nahajanjiñeo, ninankañe kiraikiraike, o zoke’eo aolo ampara’ t’ie vahiny le i rakembay ro añivo eo.
They, when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last. Jesus was left alone with the woman where she was, in the middle.
10 Niongake t’Iesoà, le nanoa’e ty hoe: O Rakemba, aia ho o nanesek’ azo’o? Tsy eo hao ty namàtse azo?
Jesus, standing up, saw her and said, “Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?”

She said, “No one, Lord.” Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more.”
12 Tinovo’ Iesoà am’iereo ty hoe: Failo’ ty voatse toy iraho; tsy hañavelo añ’ ieñe ao ze mañorike ahy, fa ho an-kazavàn-kaveloñe.
Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
13 Aa hoe ty lie’ o Fariseoo aze: Ho nitò aia o talili’oo kanao mitalily vatañe.
The Pharisees therefore said to him, “You testify about yourself. Your testimony is not valid.”
14 Tinoi’ Iesoà ty hoe: Ndra te mitalily vatan-dRaho, to i talilikoy; amy te fantako ty nihirifako naho ty hombako; fe tsy fohi’ areo ty niboahako ndra ty hionjonako.
Jesus answered them, “Even if I testify about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from, and where I am going; but you don’t know where I came from, or where I am going.
15 O nofotseo ro fizaka’areo; Izaho tsy mizaka ndra iaia.
You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.
16 Fe ndra t’ie mizaka, to ty fizakako; amy te tsy izaho avao, fa izaho naho i Rae nañitrik’ ahiy.
Even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent me.
17 Toe pinatetse amy Hà’areoy te to taroñe t’indaty roe.
It’s also written in your law that the testimony of two people is valid.
18 Izaho mitalily vatañey, ty raike, mitalily ahy ka i Raeko nañirak’ ahiy.
I am one who testifies about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me.”
19 Aa le hoe iareo tama’e: Aia v’o Rae’oo? Tinoi’ Iesoà: Tsy mahafohiñ’ ahy ndra i Raeko nahareo; naho napota’ areo iraho le ho nahafohiñe an-dRaeko ka.
They said therefore to him, “Where is your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”
20 Sinaontsi’ Iesoà amy fanontonan-dralay i hoe zay, ie nañoke añ’ anjomban’ Añahare ao; le tsy teo ty nipao tañañ’ ama’e; amy te mboe tsy nitsatoke ty ora’e.
Jesus spoke these words in the treasury, as he taught in the temple. Yet no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.
21 Le hoe ty natovo’ Iesoà am’iereo: Hienga iraho, ho paiae’ areo fe hivetrak’ amo hakeo’ areo. Tsy lefe’ areo hombañe i hombakoy.
Jesus said therefore again to them, “I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sins. Where I go, you can’t come.”
22 Le hoe ty asa’ o Tehodao: Hera hamoe’ fain-dre? Ie manao ty hoe: Ze hombako tsy ho lefe’ areo hombañe.
The Jews therefore said, “Will he kill himself, because he says, ‘Where I am going, you can’t come’?”
23 Aa le hoe re tam’ iereo: Hirik’ ambane ao nahareo; boak’ ambone iraho. Ami’ty voatse toy nahareo; fe tsy ami’ty voatse toy iraho.
He said to them, “You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.
24 Aa le hoe ty nitaroñako, t’ie hikoromak’ amo hakeo’ areoo, fa naho tsy atokisa’ areo t’Ie Raho, le hihomake an-tahi’ areo.
I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins.”
25 Le hoe iareo tama’e: Ia v’Iheo? Hoe ty nanoa’ Iesoà: I nitaroñako am-baloha’ey.
They said therefore to him, “Who are you?” Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning.
26 Mbe bey ty ho nitaroñako naho ty hizakako, fe to i nañirak’ Ahiy; le taroñeko ami’ty voatse toy o itsanoñakoo.
I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you. However, he who sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these I say to the world.”
27 Tsy napota’ iereo t’ie nisaontsy i Rae.
They didn’t understand that he spoke to them about the Father.
28 Aa le hoe ty nanoa’ Iesoà: Ie aonjo’ areo i Ana’ ondatiy, le ho fohi’ areo te ie iraho, le tsy eo ty anoeko an-tsatriko, fa ze ampandrendrehen-dRaeko ahy, izay o volañekoo.
Jesus therefore said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing of myself, but as my Father taught me, I say these things.
29 Toe amako i nañitrik’ Ahiy, le tsy apo’e hiziozio iraho, amy te nainai’e fanoeko o raha tea’eo.
He who sent me is with me. The Father hasn’t left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.”
30 Ie nisaontsy izay, le maro ty niantok’ aze.
As he spoke these things, many believed in him.
31 Aa le hoe t’Iesoà tamo Jiosy mpiato ama’eo: Naho mitoloñe amo fivolakoo nahareo, le toe mpiamako;
Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.
32 le ho fohi’ areo ty hatò vaho ho hahà’ ty hatò.
You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
33 Hoe ty natoi’ iareo aze: Tarira’ i Abraàme zahay, le mbe lia’e tsy rinohi’ ondaty; Akore arè ty natao’o te, Ho hahañe nahareo?
They answered him, “We are Abraham’s offspring, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How do you say, ‘You will be made free’?”
34 Tinoi’ Iesoà ty hoe: Eka! to ty itaroñako te fonga ondevon-kakeo ze manao hakeo.
Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin.
A bondservant doesn’t live in the house forever. A son remains forever. (aiōn g165)
36 Aa ie ihahà’ i Anakey, le ho vata’e votsotse.
If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.
37 Apotako t’ie tiri’ i Abraàme; f’ie mipay ty hahavetrak’ ahy amy te tsy itoera’ o volakoo.
I know that you are Abraham’s offspring, yet you seek to kill me, because my word finds no place in you.
38 Taroñeko o nitreako te nindre aman-dRaekoo; vaho anoe’ areo ze jinanji’ areo aman-drae’ areo.
I say the things which I have seen with my Father; and you also do the things which you have seen with your father.”
39 Tinoi’ iereo ty hoe: Rae’ay t’i Abraàme. Le hoe ty natoi’ Iesoà: Naho àna’ i Abraàme, anò o fitoloña’ i Abraàmeo;
They answered him, “Our father is Abraham.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham.
40 f’ie henaneo, mipay hamono ahy—ondaty mitaron-kavantañañe ama’ areo, o tsinanoko aman’ Añahareo. Tsy nanao izay t’i Abraàme.
But now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham didn’t do this.
41 Toe anoe’ areo ty satan-drae’ areo. Aa hoe iereo tama’e: Tsy anak’ amonton-jahay; raike ty Rae’ay, i Andrianañahare.
You do the works of your father.” They said to him, “We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father, God.”
42 Hoe t’Iesoà am’ iereo: Aa naho Rae’ areo t’i Andrianañahare, le ho nikoko ahy, amy te i Andrianañahare ty niboahako naho ty nivotrahako atoy; le tsy ty satriko ty nipotirako atoy, fa ie ty nañitrike ahy.
Therefore Jesus said to them, “If God were your father, you would love me, for I came out and have come from God. For I haven’t come of myself, but he sent me.
43 Akore te tsy apota’ areo o rehakoo? toe tsy mahajanjiñe o volakoo nahareo.
Why don’t you understand my speech? Because you can’t hear my word.
44 Ie mpiamy mpañinje rae’ areoy, vaho tea’ areo ty manao ze irìn-drae’ areo. Mpañoho-doza boak’ am-baloha’e re vaho tsy mijadoñe ami’ty hatò, amy t’ie tsy aman-katò ndra loli’e. Ie mivolam-bande, sata’e i fivola’ey, amy t’ie mpandañitse, toe raem-bande.
You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and the father of lies.
45 Fe kanao mitaroñe ty hatò iraho, tsy iantofa’ areo.
But because I tell the truth, you don’t believe me.
46 Ia ama’ areo ty manisý hakeo amako; fa naho mitaroñe ty hatò, akore te tsy atokisa’ areo?
Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?
47 Mahajanjiñe o saontsin’ Añahareo ze aman’ Añahare, f’ie tsy mahajanjiñe amy te tsy aman’Añahare.
He who is of God hears the words of God. For this cause you don’t hear, because you are not of God.”
48 Aa hoe ty natoi’ o Tehodao aze: Tsy to hao ty asa’ay te nte Samaria irehe naho tokoen’ anga-draty?
Then the Jews answered him, “Don’t we say well that you are a Samaritan, and have a demon?”
49 Hoe ty natoi’ Iesoà: Tsy aman-kokolampan-draho, fa miasy an-dRaeko, fe tsy iasia’areo.
Jesus answered, “I don’t have a demon, but I honor my Father and you dishonor me.
50 Tsy mipay engeñe ho ahy iraho, fe ao ty mitsoeke naho mizaka.
But I don’t seek my own glory. There is one who seeks and judges.
Most certainly, I tell you, if a person keeps my word, he will never see death.” (aiōn g165)
52 Le hoe o Tehodao tama’e: Rendre’ay henaneo t’ie tokoen-draha. Nivilasy t’i Abraàme naho o mpitokio; le manao ty hoe irehe, Tsy hitsope-kavilasy ka ty mifahatse amo volakoo. (aiōn g165)
Then the Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, as did the prophets; and you say, ‘If a man keeps my word, he will never taste of death.’ (aiōn g165)
53 Ho bey te amy Abraàme rae’ay hao irehe, ie nihomake? nikoromake ka o mpitokio; aa le manao ho ia irehe?
Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? The prophets died. Who do you make yourself out to be?”
54 Hoe ty natoi’ Iesoà: Naho miasy vatan-draho le kòake i asikoy. Miasy ahy t’i Raeko, i atao’ areo ty hoe: Andrianañahare’ay.
Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say that he is our God.
55 Mbe’ mboe tsy fohi’ areo re, ie fohiko. Aa naho nataoko t’ie ninofiko, le ho nibodiake hambañ’ ama’ areo iraho. Toe fantako re vaho ambenako o tsara’eo.
You have not known him, but I know him. If I said, ‘I don’t know him,’ I would be like you, a liar. But I know him and keep his word.
56 Niankahake t’i Abraàme te nahaoniñe ty androko; niisa’e le niehake.
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day. He saw it and was glad.”
57 Le hoe o Tehodao tama’e: Tsy limampolo taon-dRehe, aa vaho ho niisa’o t’i Abraàme?
The Jews therefore said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old! Have you seen Abraham?”
58 Hoe t’Iesoà tam’ iereo: Eka! to ty Itaroñako te, taolo te nisamake t’i Abraàme, Izaho ro.
Jesus said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM.”
59 Nandrambe vato amy zao iereo haretsak’ aze, fe nietake t’Iesoà, naho niavotse i anjomban’Añaharey.
Therefore they took up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple, having gone through the middle of them, and so passed by.
