< Jaona 6 >
1 Ie añe, le nitsake i riake Galiliay (i atao Tiberiasiy) t’Iesoà,
AFTER these Jeshu went over the Sea of Galila of Tiberios,
2 naho norihe’ ty lahialeñe amy te nioni’ iereo o viloñe nanoe’e amo marareoo.
and great multitudes went after him, because they had seen the signs which he wrought on the diseased.
3 Aa le nitroa-bohitse t’Iesoà vaho niharo fiambesatse amo mpiama’eo.
And Jeshu ascended a mountain, and there sat with his disciples.
4 An-titotse henane zay i Fihelañey, i sabadidak’ o Jiosioy.
Now the feast of the petscha of the Jihudoyee drew nigh.
5 Ie niandra t’Iesoà, le nahaoniñe te nañarine aze i lahialeñey, le hoe re amy Filipo: Aia ty hikaloan-tika mofo hikamà’ o retoañe?
And Jeshu lifted up his eyes, and saw the great assembly which had come to him; and he said to Philipos, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
6 Ty hitsok’ aze ty nanoa’e izay, fa niarofoana’e ty hanoe’e.
But this he said trying him; for he knew what he was about to do.
7 Tinoi’ i Filipo ty hoe: ty mofo azom-bogady roan’ jato tsy hahaeneñe iareo t’ie songa hangala falitse.
Philipos saith to him, Two hundred dinoreen of bread is not sufficient for them, that a little every one of them may take.
8 Natovo’ i Andrea, mpiama’e, rahalahi’ i Simona Petera, ty hoe:
Saith to him one of his disciples, Andreas, brother of Shemun Kipha,
9 Atoañe ty ajajalahy ama’ mofo hordea lime naho fiañe kedekedeke roe, f’ie haha-inoñe ondaty maro iretoañe?
There is here a certain youth, who hath with him five cakes of barley and two fishes; but these what are they for these all?
10 Le hoe t’Iesoà: Ampiambesaro ondatio, (toe nisoa ahetse i toetsey). Aa le niambesatse ondatio—niha-lime arivo ty lahilahy.
Jeshu saith to them, Make all the men recline; for there was much herbage in that place. And the men reclined, in number five thousand.
11 Rinambe’ Iesoà i mofo rey le nañandriañe vaho zinara’e amo mpiama’eo vaho nazotso’ o mpiama’eo amo niambesatseo; nanahake izay i fiañe rey; ndra fire-fire ty nipaiaeñe.
And Jeshu took the bread, and blessed, and divided unto those who reclined, and likewise also of the fishes, as much as they willed.
12 Ie nianjañe, le hoe re amo mpiama’eo: Atontòno o nisisa nifitafitao, soa tsy ama’e ty hianto.
And when they were satisfied, he said to his disciples, Gather the fragments that abound, that nothing be lost;
13 Aa le nahoro’ iereo vaho nahapea haron-kisetse folo ro’amby ami’ty tsy nirì’ o nikamao amy mofo hordea lime rey.
and they gathered and filled twelve baskets of fragments, those which abounded unto them who had eaten of the five loaves of barley.
14 Ie niisa’ ondatio i viloñe nanoe’ Iesoày, le hoe iereo: Toe ie i mpitoky hizilik’ ami’ty voatse toy.
But those men, when they had seen the sign which Jeshu had wrought, said, Truly this is the Prophet that cometh into the world.
15 Ie niarofoana’ Iesoà t’ie fa homb’eo hamihiñ’ aze an-tsenge hery hanao aze mpanjaka, le nivike indraike mb’am-bohitse mb’eo, ie raike.
But when Jeshu knew that they were about to come to seize him and make him the King, he passed away to a mountain alone.
16 Ie hariva, le nizotso mb’an-driake mb’eo o mpiama’eo,
AND when it was eventide, his disciples went down to the sea.
17 nijon-dakañe hitsake i riakey mb’e Kapernaome añe. Ie maieñe, le mboe tsy niheo mb’am’iereo ey t’Iesoà.
And they sat in a vessel, and went over for Kapher-nachum. And it was dark, and Jeshu had not come to them.
18 Nikabo-draha i riakey ami’ty habei’ i tioke nangofofokey.
But the sea had risen against them, because a great wind blew.
19 Aa ie fa nivey telopolo ndra roapolo-lim’ amby stadia, le naheo’ iereo te nandia ambone’ i riakey ey t’Iesoà nitotok’ i lakañey, vaho nianifañe.
And they had led stadia twentyfive or thirty, and they saw Jeshu walking upon the sea, and drawing nigh to the vessel; and they feared.
20 Aa hoe re tam’ iereo, Izaho ‘nio; ko hembañe.
But Jeshu himself said to them, I am, fear not.
21 Aa le nino’ iereo ty handrambe aze an-dakañe ao vaho tafatsak’ amy zao amy nanandrifeañey i lakañey.
And they willed to receive him into the vessel, and soon that vessel was at that land to which they were going.
22 Amy loak’ àndroy, le niisa’ i maro nijohañe alafen-driakey te tsy eo ty lakañe ila’e naho tsy i raike niharoa’ o mpiama’eo fijoñe vaho tsy nitrao-pijoñe amo mpiama’eo amy lakañey t’Iesoà, fa o mpiama’eo avao ty tao.
The day after the people that stood on the opposite shore of the sea saw that there was not another vessel there except that into which the disciples had ascended, and that Jeshu had not entered with his disciples into the vessel;
23 (Toe nitoly marine’ i nikamà’ iareo mofo amy nañandriaña’ i Talèiy ty lakañe ila’e hirike Tiberiasy.)
but there came other boats from Tiberios near the place, where they did eat bread when Jeshu had blessed.
24 Aa ie nioni’ i màroy te tsy eo t’Iesoà naho o mpiama’eo, le nijon-dakañe ka, nitsake mb’e Kapernaome mb’eo hitsoeke Iesoà.
And when that company saw that Jeshu was not there nor his disciples, they ascended into those boats, and came to Kapher-nachum. And they sought Jeshu;
25 Ie nahaisak’ aze an-dafen-driake ey le nanoa’ iareo ty hoe: O Talè, mbia ty nitsaha’o atoy?
and when they had found him on the opposite side of the sea, they say to him, Raban, when camest thou hither?
26 Hoe ty natoi’ Iesoà: Itaroñako an-katò te, tsy o viloñe nioni’ areoo ty ipaia’ areo ahy, fa t’ie nikama amy mofoy vaho nianjañe.
Jeshu answered and said to them, Amen, amen, I tell you, You seek me, not because you considered the signs, but because you did eat the bread, and were satisfied.
27 Ko ifanehafañe ty mahakama mete momoke, fa i mahakama mahatañe pak’an-kaveloñe nainai’ey, i toe hazotso’ i Ana’ ondatiy, fa ie ty vinoli-tombohen’ Añahare Rae. (aiōnios )
Work not (for) the food which perisheth, but (for) the food that endureth unto the life that is eternal, which the Son of man shall give to you: for this hath the Father sealed, (even) Aloha. (aiōnios )
28 Le hoe ty asa’ iareo tama’e: Inoñe ty hanoe’ay hitoloñe amo tolon-drahan’ Añahareo?
They say to him, What shall we do that we may work the works of Aloha?
29 Hoe ty natoi’ Iesoà: Zao ty fitoroñañe an’Andrianañahare, te hatokisa’ areo i nahitri’ey.
Jeshu answered and said to them, This is the work of Aloha, that you believe in Him whom he hath sent.
30 Aa le hoe iereo tama’e: Ino ty viloñe hatoro’o, hahaisaha’ay, hiantofa’ay azo? Inoñe ty ho toloñe’o?
THEY say to him, What sign doest thou that we may see, and believe in thee? What performest thou?
31 Nikama mana an-dratraratra añe o roae’aio, amy pinatetse ty hoe: Nanjotsoa’e mofo boak’ andindìñe añe hikama’ iereo.
Our fathers manna did eat in the desert, as it is written, that bread from heaven be gave them to eat.
32 Le hoe t’Iesoà tam’ iereo: Eka! to t’itaroñako te, tsy i Mosè ty nanjotso i mofo boak’ andindìñe añey, fa i Raeko ro mpanjotso ty toe mofo hirik’ andikerañe ao.
Jeshu saith to them, Amen, amen, I tell you, That Musha gave you not that bread from heaven, but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven:
33 I mofon’ Añaharey, le i nizotso boak’ andindìñe añe manolo-kaveloñe ami’ty voatse toiy.
for the bread of Aloha is He who hath descended from heaven, and giveth life to the world.
34 Le hoe iereo tama’e, O Talè, azotsò ama’ay nainai’e o mofo zao.
They say to him, Our Lord, at all time give us this bread.
35 Hoe t’Iesoà tam’ iereo: Izaho o mofon-kaveloñeo, tsy ho saliko ka ze mitotok’ ahy vaho tsy ho taliñiereñe ka ze miato amako.
Jeshu saith to them, I am the bread of life: he who cometh to me shall not hunger, and he who believeth in me shall not thirst, for ever.
36 Fa hoe ty nanoako, toe nahaisake ahy nahareo fe tsy mañaoñe.
But I have told you that you have seen me, and have not believed.
37 Hene homb’amako ze atolon-dRaeko ahy vaho tsy ho farieko ka ze momb’amako.
Every one whom the Father hath given me, unto me will come; and him who unto me shall come, I will not cast out.
38 Le tsy nivotrake boak’ andindìñe ao iraho hanao ty satriko, fa ty satri’ i nañitrik’ Ahiy.
I descended from heaven not to do mine own will, but the will of Him who sent me.
39 Inao ty satrin-dRae nañirak’ ahy, te leo raike amy ze hene natolo’e, tsy hapoke, fa hatroako amy andro honka’ey.
But this is the will of my Father who sent me, that of all whom he hath given me I shall lose not of him, but shall raise him at the last day.
40 Zao ty satrin’ arofo’ i nañitrik’ ahiy, te songa hanan-kaveloñe nainai’e ze miisake i Anakey naho miato ama’e; le izaho ty hañonjoñe aze amy andro honka’ey. (aiōnios )
For this is the will of my Father, that every one who seeth the Son and believeth on him, shall have the life that is eternal, and I will raise him at the last day. (aiōnios )
41 Niñeoñeoñe ama’e o Tehodao, ty amy asa’e ty hoe: Izaho i mofo nizotso hirik’andindìñe eiy,
But the Jihudoyee murmured against him because he said, I am the bread which hath descended from heaven.
42 le hoe iereo: Tsy Iesoà, ana’ Iosefe v’itia, ie fohin-tika ty rae’e naho i rene’e? Akore arè i asa’e ty hoe, t’ie nizotso boak’ andindìñ’ añe?
And they said, Is not this Jeshu bar Jauseph, he whose father and mother we know? and how saith this, From heaven I have descended?
43 Tinoi’ Iesoà ty hoe: Ko mifampiñeoñeoñe avao.
Jeshu answered and said to them, Murmur not one with another.
44 Tsy eo ty mahalefe ty homb’ amako naho tsy akozozòn-dRae nañitrik’ ahy; ie amy zay, izaho ty hampitroatse aze amy andro honka’ey.
No man can come to me unless the Father who sent me shall attract him, and I will raise him at the last day.
45 Pinatetse amo Mpitokio ty hoe: Hene hanare’ Iehovà iareo, Sindre miheo amako ze nahajanjiñe naho niòke aman-dRae.
It is written in the prophet, that they shall be all taught of Aloha: every one, therefore, who hath heard from the Father and learned of him, cometh unto me.
46 Toe ndra iaia tsy nahaoniñ’ an-dRae naho tsy i boak’ aman’ Añaharey, Ie ty nahavazoho an-dRae.
There is no man who hath seen the Father, but he who is from Aloha, he hath seen the Father.
47 Eka! to t’itaroñako te aman-kaveloñe nainai’e ze miato amako. (aiōnios )
AMEN, amen, I say to you, Whosoever believeth in me hath the life which is eternal. (aiōnios )
48 Izaho o mofon-kaveloñeo.
I am the bread of life.
49 Nikama mana am-patrambey añe o roae’ areoo, vaho nihomake.
Your fathers did eat manna in the desert, and are dead:
50 Intoy ty mofo mizotso hirik’ andindìñe ao hikamà’ ondatio tsy hihomake.
but this is the bread which hath descended from heaven, that man may eat of it, and die not.
51 Izaho o mofo veloñe nizotso hirik’ andindìñeo; ndra ia’ ia mikama i mofo zay ro ho veloñe nainai’e; eka, ty nofoko i mofo hatolokoy, i banabanaeko ho ami’ty havelo’ ty voatse toiy. (aiōn )
I am the bread of life that from heaven hath descended; and if man shall eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give is my body, which for the life of the world I give. (aiōn )
52 Aa le hoe ty lie-droko’ o Tehodao: Aia ty hanjotsoa’ t’indaty tìa i sandri’ey ho hanen-tika?
The Jihudoyee contended one with another, saying, How can this his body give to us to eat?
53 Le nanoa’ Iesoà ty hoe: Eka! to t’itaroñako, naho tsy ikamañe ty nofo’ i Ana’ ondatiy naho inomañe ty lio’e, le tsy aman-kaveloñe nahareo.
And Jeshu said to them, Amen, amen, I tell you, That unless you eat the body of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you have no life in yourselves.
54 Ze mikama ty nofoko naho minoñe ty lioko ro aman-kaveloñe nainai’e, le honjoneko amy andro hengaha’ey. (aiōnios )
He who eateth of my body, and drinketh of my blood, hath the life which is eternal, and I will raise him at the last day. (aiōnios )
55 Fa toe hàneñe o nofokoo naho toe finomeñe ty lioko.
For my body is truly food, and my blood is truly drink.
56 Ze mikama ty nofoko naho ty lioko ro mimoneñe amako vaho izaho ama’e.
He who eateth my body, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him.
57 Hambañe amy nañitrifa’ i Rae veloñey ahiy, izaho veloñe aman-dRae, le ze mikama amako, izaho ty hiveloma’e.
As the Father the Living (one) who hath sent me, and I live by the Father, even so he who shall eat me, shall live, too, by me.
58 Zao i mofo nizotso hirik’ andindìñey. Tsy manahake i mana nikamaen-droae’ iareo ie nihomakey; fa ho veloñe nainai’e ze mikama ty mofo toy. (aiōn )
This is the bread which hath descended from heaven. Not as was the manna that your fathers ate, and are dead; he who eateth of this bread shall live for ever. (aiōn )
59 I hoe zay ty tsinara’e te nañoke am-pitontonañe e Kapernaomy ao.
These things he spake in the synagogue, as he taught in Kapher-nachum.
60 Aa le maro amo mpiama’eo, ie nahajanjiñe izay, nanao ty hoe: Maràñe i tsaray, ia ty mahajanjiñe aze?
And many of his disciples who heard said, A hard word is this: who can hear it?
61 Ie nioni’ Iesoà i ñeoñeo’ o mpiama’eoy, le nanoa’e ty hoe: Mahatorifik’ anahareo v’izay?
BUT Jeshu knew in himself that his disciples murmured concerning this; and he said to them, Does this stumble you?
62 Akore arè naho isa’ areo mionjoñe mb’amy nitoe’e taoloy mb’eo i Ana’ ondatiy?
If you shall see then the Son of man ascend up to the place where he was from the first?
63 I Arofoy ty mahaveloñe, tsy mahasoa ndra loli’e o nofotseo; toe arofo naho haveloñe o saontsy itaroñako.
It is the Spirit that maketh alive, the body profiteth nothing: the words which I have spoken to you, they are spirit and they are life.
64 Fe tsy mañaoñe ty ila’ areo. Toe niarofoana’ Iesoà am-baloha’e o tsi-hiatoo, naho i hañenga’ azey.
But there are some of you who do not believe. For Jeshu knew from the first who they were who believed not, and who it was who would betray him.
65 Le hoe re: Izay ty nitaroñako te, tsy eo ty homb’ amako naho tsy natolotse aze boak’ aman-dRae.
And he said to them, On account of this I told you that no man can come to me, unless it be given him of my Father.
66 Ie amy zay, nifoneñe tsy nindre-lia ama’e ka ty maro amo mpiama’eo.
On account of this word many of his disciples went back, and walked not with him.
67 Aa le hoe t’Iesoà amy folo ro’ amby rey, He te hisitake ka nahareo?
Jeshu said to the twelve, Do you also will to go?
68 Hoe ty natoi’ i Simona Petera: O Talè, homb’ ama’ ia v’izahaio? Ama’o o tsaran-kaveloñe nainai’eo; (aiōnios )
Shemun Kipha answered and said, My Lord, unto whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life; (aiōnios )
69 Fa natokisa’ay naho mahafohiñe te Ihe i Masin’ Añaharey.
and we believe and know that thou art the Meshicha, the Son of Aloha the Living.
70 Hoe ty nanoa’ Iesoà: Tsy izaho hao ty nijoboñe anahareo folo-ro’ambio, fe kokolampa ty raike?
Jeshu saith to them, Have I not chosen you twelve, and from you one is Satana?
71 I Jodasy ana’ i Simona nte-Kariote, mpiamy folo ro’amby rey i tsinara’ey, ie fa hañeng’ aze.
He spake concerning Jihuda bar Shemun Scarjuta; for he it was who would betray him, one from the twelve.
