< Jaona 16 >

1 Nitaroñako irezay soa t’ie tsy hitsikapy.
These things have I spoken unto you, that all of you should not be offended.
2 Haitoañe amo fitontonañeo nahareo; eka, ho tondroke ty ora, te inao, mitoroñe an’Andrianañahare ze mamono anahareo.
They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time comes, that whosoever kills you will think that he does God service.
3 Hanoe’ iereo amy te tsy nahafohiñe an-dRae naho ahy.
And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
4 Fe nitaroñako, soa te, ie tsatoke ty ora’e, le ho tiahi’ areo te nivolañeko. Tsy nitaroñako hey i entañe zay am-pifotora’e, itika mbe nitraoke.
But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, all of you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.
5 Fe hionjoñe mb’amy nañitrik’ ahiy mb’eo iraho henaneo, le tsy ama’ areo ty mañontane ahy ty hoe: Aia ty homba’o?
But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asks me, Where go you?
6 F’ie mioremeñe añ’arofo ty amy entako ama’ areoy.
But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow has filled your heart.
7 Fe ivolañako ty hato, te mahasoa anahareo t’ie hienga, fa naho tsy mienga le tsy hitotsaha’ i Mpañolotsey; aa naho mb’eo iraho le hahitriko mb’ama’areo mb’ etoan-dre.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8 Ie avy, ro hampiheve maso ty voatse toy ty ami’ty tahiñe naho ty havantañañe vaho ty fizakàñe.
And when he has come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 O tahiñeo, amy te tsy miato amako iareo.
Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 I havantañañey, fa homb’ aman-dRaeko mb’eo iraho vaho tsy hahaisak’ ahy ka nahareo.
Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and all of you see me no more;
11 I zakay, fa nafàtse ty mpifehe’ ty voatse toy.
Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
12 Mbe maro ty hitaroñako fa tsy leo’ areo heike.
I have yet many things to say unto you, but all of you cannot bear them now.
13 Ie pok’ atoy i Arofon-katòy le ie ty hiaolo anahareo amy ze hene hatò. Tsy hisaontsy ty aze, fa o janjiñe’eo avao ty ho taroñe’e vaho haboa’e ama’ areo o raha ho avio.
Nevertheless when he, the Spirit (pneuma) of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
14 Handrenge ahy re naho handrambe amako vaho hañento ama’areo,
He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.
15 ahiko iaby ze aman-dRaeko, izay ty nitaroñako te hangalak’ amy ahikoy re le hentoe’e nahareo.
All things that the Father has are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you.
16 Tsy ho isa’ areo iraho te aniany; fa betebeteke le ho oni’ areo indraike.
A little while, and all of you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and all of you shall see me, because I go to the Father.
17 Hoe ty vesoveso’ o mpiama’e ila’eo: Inoñe i tsarae’e amantikañey, ty hoe: Tsy ho oni’ areo iraho te aniany, le ho oni’ areo indraike te aniany, amy te homb’ aman-dRaeko mb’eo?
Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he says unto us, A little while, and all of you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and all of you shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
18 Nindrae’ iareo ty hoe: Inoñe ze o Anianike sinaontsi’e zao? Nofi’ay i saontsi’ey.
They said therefore, What is this that he says, A little while? we cannot tell what he says.
19 Niarofoana’ Iesoà ty ho nañontanea’ iareo vaho nanoa’e ty hoe: Ifañontaneañe hao i asakoy ty hoe: Tsy ho oni’ areo iraho te aniany; naho ty hoe, Hahaisak’ ahy ka nahareo te aniany?
Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do all of you enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and all of you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and all of you shall see me?
20 Eka, to t’itaroñako t’ie hirovetse naho hangololoike ty tañy, fe hitohàke ty voatse toy. Ho azo ty velo-mihontoke nahareo, fe hifotetse ho firebehañe ty fihonto’ areo.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, That all of you shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and all of you shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
21 Tsimboetse ty ampela mitsongo naho tsatoke i ora’ey; f’ie mahatoly ajajamena le haliño’e i ajale’ey, vaho isoloa’e haehake, amy te toly an-tane atoy t’indaty.
A woman when she is in travail has sorrow, because her hour has come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembers no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
22 Aa le hiotsòtse hey nahareo henaneo, f’ie ho treako indraike le hirebeke ty arofo’ areo vaho tsy hasinta’ ondaty ama’ areo ty haehake.
And all of you now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man takes from you.
23 Tsy hañontane ahy ndra inoñ’ inoñe nahareo amy andro zay. Eka! to t’itaroñako te, ze halalie’ areo aman-dRaeko ami’ty añarako ro hatolo’e.
And in that day all of you shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever all of you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Pake henàne tsy eo ty nangataha’ areo ami’ty añarako. Mihalalia, le hahazo, hañeneke ty hafalea’ areo.
Until now have all of you asked nothing in my name: ask, and all of you shall receive, that your joy may be full.
25 Nivolañako am-pandrazañañe irezay; fe antitotse ty andro t’ie tsy handrazañe, fa hitalily malange i Rae.
These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time comes, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall show you plainly of the Father.
26 Hihalaly ami’ty añarako nahareo amy andro zay; tsy anoeko ty hoe: Izaho ty hihalaly aman-dRaeko ho anahareo;
At that day all of you shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
27 Aiy! toe ikokoan-dRae ie nikoko ahy, naho natoky te nihirik’ aman’ Añahare iraho.
For the Father himself loves you, because all of you have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.
28 Niboak’ aman-dRae iraho, nizilik’ ami’ty voatse toy, vaho hiavotako ty voatse toy ho mb’ aman-dRae.
I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
29 En! hoe o mpiama’eo tama’e, Malange o saontsi’o henaneo, amy te tsy mandrazan-drehake.
His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speak you plainly, and speak no proverb.
30 Rendre’ay henaneo te kila arofoana’o, naho tsy paia’o ty hañontanea’ ondaty; izay ty iantofa’ay t’ie hirik’ aman’ Añahare.
Now are we sure that you know all things, and need not that any man should ask you: by this we believe that you came forth from God.
31 Tinoi’ Iesoà ami’ty hoe: Miantoke hao henaneo?
Jesus answered them, Do all of you now believe?
32 Toe ho avy ty ora, eka fa tondroke t’ie hiparatsiake, songa hamonje ty aze, le ho farie’ areo ho joriñe iraho; f’ie toe tsy ho bangiñe fa itraofan-dRae.
Behold, the hour comes, yea, is now come, that all of you shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
33 Nitaroñako irezay soa t’ie hierañerañe amako. Halovilovy ami’ty voatse toy nahareo; fe manintsiña, fa rinebako ty voatse toy.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me all of you might have peace. In the world all of you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
