< Jaona 14 >

1 Ko mampihohokohok’ arofo; miatoa aman’ Añahare, iato ka iraho.
“Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.
2 Maro ty traño añ’anjomban-dRaeko ao, naho tsy izay, ho nivolañako. Hionjoñe iraho hañalankañe toetse ho anahareo.
In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.
3 Aa kanao homb’eo iraho hañajariako toetse, le hibalihako, handrambe anahareo ho amako, soa te amy itoerakoy ty hitoera’ areo.
If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.
4 Apota’ areo ty hombako, naho fohi’areo ty lalañe mb’eo.
You know where I go, and you know the way.”
5 Hoe t’i Tomasy tama’e: O Rañandria, Tsy hai’ay ty homba’o; aia ty hahafohina’ay ty lala homba’o?
Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going. How can we know the way?”
6 Tinoi’ Iesoà ty hoe: Izaho i lalañey naho ty hatò vaho ty haveloñe; leo raike tsy homb’ aman-dRaeko naho tsy añamako.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
7 Aa naho fohi’ areo iraho, ho fohi’ areo ka t’i Raeko; ie henane zao fa mahafohiñe aze vaho mahaisak’ aze.
If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him and have seen him.”
8 Hoe t’i Filipo tama’e: O Rañandria, atorò anay t’i Rae, fa mahaeneñe anay izay.
Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.”
9 Tinoi’ Iesoà ty hoe: Tsy fa ela hao ty nireketan-tika, te ihe mboe tsy mahafohiñe ahiko ry Filipo? Ze nahaisak’ ahy fa nahaoniñe an-dRae; aa vaho akore ty atao’o ty hoe: Atorò anay t’i Rae?
Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
10 Tsy atokisa’o hao te izaho ro aman-dRae vaho amako t’i Rae? Tsy ahy o saontsy itaroñakoo, fa manao o tolon-draha’eo i Raeko mimoneñe an-troko ato.
Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works.
11 Matokisa te aman-dRae iraho naho te amako t’i Rae; ke iantofo ty amo fitoloñañeo.
Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12 Eka! to t’itaroñako te hanoe’ ty mpiato amako o fitoloñakoo, vaho mandikoatse iretoañe ty hanoe’e, amy te homb’ aman-dRaeko mb’eo iraho.
Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.
13 Aa ndra inoñ’ inoñe ty ihalalia’ areo ami’ty añarako, le hanoeko, soa te ho rengèñe amy Anakey t’i Rae.
Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 Ndra inoñ’ inoñe ihalalia’ areo ami’ty añarako, le hanoeko.
If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
15 Kanao mikoko ahy nahareo, le hañambeñe o lilikoo;
If you love me, keep my commandments.
16 naho hihalaly aman-dRae iraho, hitolora’e Mpañolotse tovo’e himoneñe ama’ areo nainai’e. (aiōn g165)
I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever: (aiōn g165)
17 Ie i Arofon-kavantañañey; i tsy mete rambese’ ty voatse toiy amy te tsy fohi’e mbore nofi’e; fe mahafohiñe aze nahareo amy t’ie mitrao-pimoneñe ama’ areo, toe hitraofa’e.
the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive, for it doesn’t see him and doesn’t know him. You know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
18 Tsy ho farieko ho bode nahareo fa homb’ ama’ areo mb’eo.
I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.
19 Tsipaepae’ zao tsy ho oni’ ty voatse toy ka iraho; f’ie ho oni’ areo: kanao velon-dRaho, ho veloñe ka nahareo.
Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more; but you will see me. Because I live, you will live also.
20 Amy andro zay, ho fohi’ areo te izaho ro aman-dRaeko naho amako nahareo vaho ama’ areo iraho.
In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
21 Ze mamolònkoñe o lilikoo naho mañambeñe aze, ie ty mikoko ahy; le ho kokoan-dRaeko i mikoko Ahiy naho hikokoako vaho hampandrendreheko ahy.
One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.”
22 Le hoe t’i nanoe’ i Jodasy (tsy i nte-Keriotey): O Rañandria, akore te zahay ro hiboaha’o fa tsy ty voatse toy?
Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, what has happened that you are about to reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?”
23 Tinoi’ Iesoà ami’ty hoe: Hifahatse amo volakoo ty mikoko ahy le hikokoan-dRaeko naho homb’ama’e mb’eo zahay, vaho hanoe’ay ama’e ao ty akiba’ay.
Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
24 Tsy mikoko ahy ty tsy mañambeñe o volakoo. Tsy ahiko i tsara janjiñe’ areo amakoy fa an-dRaeko nañitrik’ ahy.
He who doesn’t love me doesn’t keep my words. The word which you hear isn’t mine, but the Father’s who sent me.
25 Izaho mb’e mimoneñe ama’ areo atoy ty itaroñako i raha rezay.
“I have said these things to you while still living with you.
26 Le hahitrin-dRaeko ami’ty añarako i Mpañohòy, i Arofo Masiñey; Ie ty hañoke anahareo ze he’e vaho haniahy ze hene tinaroko.
But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you.
27 Hapoko ama’areo ty fañanintsiñe, hatoloko ty fierañerañako; tsy manahake ty fasozo’ ty voatse toy ty fanjotsoako. Ko adoke hiotsotse ty arofo’ areo, ko apoke ho hembañe.
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
28 Fa jinanji’ areo i nivolañekoy t’ie hiavotse vaho hibalike mb’ama’ areo mb’etoy. Naho nikokoa’areo le ho nirebeke t’ie homb’ aman-dRaeko añe fa bey te amako t’i Raeko.
You heard how I told you, ‘I am going away, and I will come back to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced because I said ‘I am going to my Father;’ for the Father is greater than I.
29 Ie ty nivolañeko aolo’ te hifetsake, soa t’ie tondroke, le hiantofa’ areo.
Now I have told you before it happens so that when it happens, you may believe.
30 Tsy hivolañe raha maro iraho; amy te momb’ etoañe i roandria’ ty voatse toiy, f’ie tsy manandily amako;
I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world comes, and he has nothing in me.
31 Aa soa ho fohi’ ty voatse toy te mikoko an-dRae iraho, le ze andilian-dRae ahy, ty anoeko do’e. Miongaha, antao hiavotse.
But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father commanded me, even so I do. Arise, let’s go from here.
