< Joba 42 >

1 Natoi’ Iobe amy zao t’Iehovà,
Then Job answered Jehovah, and said,
2 Fantako te kila lefe’o, le tsy azo sebañeñe ze safiri’o.
I know that thou can do all things, and that no purpose of thine can be restrained.
3 Hoe irehe: Ia ze o mañeta-panoroañe tsy aman-kilala zao? Toe nivolañeko ty tsy nirendreko, o raha loho mandikoatse ahy, tsy napotako.
Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge? Therefore I have uttered that which I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.
4 Ehe janjiño, [hoe irehe, ] le hivolan-draho, hañontaneako vaho ho toiñe’o.
Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak, I will ask of thee, and declare thou to me.
5 Toe nahatsanoñe ty ama’o raho am-pijanjiñan-dravembia, fe mahatrea Azo o masokoo henaneo;
I had heard of thee by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees thee.
6 Aa le hejeko ty troko vaho misoloho an-deboke naho lavenoke.
Therefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.
7 Ie fa nilañone’ Iehovà am’ Iobe i tsara rezay, le hoe t’Iehovà amy Elifaze nte-Temane: Miforoforo ama’o naho amo rañe’o roe reo ty haboseko; amy te tsy nitaroña’ areo ty hatò, manahake ty nanoem-pitoroko Iobe.
And it was so, that, after Jehovah had spoken these words to Job, Jehovah said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends. For ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has.
8 Aa le andrambeso bania fito naho añondrilahy fito, le miheova mb’amy Iobe mpitoroko mb’eo naho mañengà soroñe ho anahareo; le hihalalia’ Iobe mpitoroko naho ho noko i halali’ey vaho tsy hanoeko ama’ areo ty mañeva i hanè’ areoy; amy t’ie tsy nilañoñe ahy an-katò, manahake ty nanoe’ i mpitoroko Iobey.
Now therefore, take to you seven bullocks and seven rams. And go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering. And my servant Job shall pray for you, for him I will accept, that I not deal with you after your folly. For ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has.
9 Aa le nimb’eo t’i Elifaze nte-Temane naho i Bildade nte Sohy naho i Tsofare nte-Naamà le nanoe’ iereo i tsinara’ Iehovà am’ iereoy; le ninò’ Iehovà ty halali’ Iobe.
So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did according as Jehovah commanded them, and Jehovah accepted Job.
10 Aa le nampoli’ Iehovà o vara’ Iobeo, ie nihalaly ho a i rañe’e rey; vaho natolo’ Iehovà am’ Iobe indroe’ ty nanaña’e taolo.
And Jehovah turned back the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends. And Jehovah gave Job twice as much as he had before.
11 Nomb’ ama’e mb’eo amy zao o rahalahi’e iabio naho o rahavave’e iabio naho ze hene nahafohiñe aze taolo vaho nitrao-pikama ama’e añ’ anjomba’e ao; nitretreze’ iareo vaho nañohò aze amo fonga haoreañe nafetsa’ Iehovà ama’eo; vaho songa nanolotse ty bogady ama’e naho ty bange volamena.
Then there came to him all his brothers, and all his sisters, and all those who had been of his acquaintance before, and ate bread with him in his house. And they bemoaned him, and comforted him concerning all the evil that Jehovah had brought upon him. Each man also gave him a piece of money, and each one a ring of gold.
12 Nitahie’ Iehovà o figadoñan’ andro’ Iobeo mandikoatse te amy nifotora’ey; ie nanañ’ añondry rai-ale tsy efats’ arivo naho rameva eneñ’ arivo naho katràka mpiharo-bao arivo vaho borìke-vave arivo.
So Jehovah blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. And he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-donkeys.
13 Nanañ’ anadahy fito re naho anak’ ampela telo.
He had also seven sons and three daughters.
14 Natao’e Iemimae ty añara’ i valoha’ey naho Keziae ty faharoe vaho Keren-Kapokee ty fahatelo.
And he called the name of the first, Jemimah, and the name of the second, Keziah, and the name of the third, Keren-happuch.
15 Tsy nañirinkiriñeñe amy tane iabiy ty hamozohozo’ i anak’ ampela’ Iobe rey vaho songa tinolon-drae’e lova miharo amo ana-dahi’eo.
And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job. And their father gave them inheritance among their brothers.
16 Ie añe, mbe niveloñe zato-tsy-efapolo taoñe t’Iobe vaho niisa’e o ana’eo naho o zafe’eo pak’an-tariratse fah’efafatse.
And after this Job lived a hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.
17 Aa le nivilasy t’Iobe, androanavy bey, lifots’ andro.
So Job died, being old and full of days.
