< Joba 36 >
1 Natovo’ i Eliho ty hoe:
Elihu also proceeded, and said,
2 Iheveo hey iraho le hitoroako te mbe aman-ko volañeñe hañonjonañe an’Andrianañahare.
Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that [I have] yet to speak on God’s behalf.
3 Hitoha hilala tsietoitane añe iraho, tolorako havantañañe i Mpitsene ahiy.
I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
4 Toe aman-kila o entakoo; vaho ama’o i aman-kilala fonitsey.
For truly my words [shall] not [be] false: he that is perfect in knowledge [is] with thee.
5 Inao maozatse t’i Andrianañahare, naho tsy mirihy; ie fatratse an-kaozaram-paharofoanañe.
Behold, God [is] mighty, and despiseth not [any: he is] mighty in strength [and] wisdom.
6 Tsy tana’e ho veloñe o tsereheñeo, fe omei’e to ty tso-troke.
He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth right to the poor.
7 Tsy asita’e amo vantañeo o fihaino’eo; fa ampiambesare’e ho nainai’e amo mpanjaka am-piambesa’eo, vaho onjone’e.
He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings [are they] on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.
8 Aa ie mirohy an-tsilisily, naho nivahoran-kasotriañe,
And if [they be] bound in fetters, [and] be holden in cords of affliction;
9 le itaroña’e o sata’ iareoo naho o fiolà’ iareoo, te mitakeboke.
Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.
10 Sokafe’e hianatse o ravembiao, vaho lilie’e te hiambohoa’ iareo o tsy havokarañeo.
He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.
11 Ie mañaoñe naho mitoroñ’aze, le amam-bokatse ty higadoña’ o andro’eo vaho am-pierañerañañe o tao’eo.
If they obey and serve [him], they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
12 F’ie tsy mañaoñe, le ho zamanem-pibara, hiantantiritse tsy aman-kilala,
But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.
13 ie mañaja si-manty, tsy aman-Kàke an-troke; tsy mikaike olotse te rohiza’e.
But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.
14 Robak’ an-katora’e ty sandri’iareo, ty fiai’ iareo an-karapiloan-do.
They die in youth, and their life [is] among the unclean.
15 Haha’e am-pisotria’e ty misotry; anokafa’e ravembia i forekekeñey.
He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.
16 Eka, tinao’e boak’ an-jitse irehe mb’an-tameañe tsy aman-tindry; naho lifo-tsafo’e ty hazotso am-pandambaña’o eo.
Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait [into] a broad place, where [there is] no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table [should be] full of fatness.
17 F’ie nañeneke ty fizakañe o rati-tserekeo; fiihine’ ty zaka naho ty hatò.
But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold [on thee].
18 Itaò tsy hanigìk’ azo hañivañiva ty habosehañe, vaho apoho tsy hampitsile azo ty habeim-bokàñe.
Because [there is] wrath, [beware] lest he take thee away with [his] stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.
19 Hahatohañ’azo tsy ho am-poheke hao o vara’oo? ndra ze hene hafatraran-kaozara’o?
Will he esteem thy riches? [no], not gold, nor all the forces of strength.
20 Ko salalaeñe ty haleñe, ie aitoañe an-toe’e ondatio.
Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.
21 Miambena, tsy hitoliha’o ty haratiañe; toe ie ty nijoboñe’o, fa tsy hasotriañe.
Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.
22 Inao! onjoñe’ ty haozara’e t’i Andrianañahare Ia ty mpañoke mañirinkiriñe Aze?
Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?
23 Ia ty nanendre ty lala homb’e? Ia ty mahafivolañe ty hoe: Tsy soa o nanoe’oo?
Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?
24 Tiahio hey ty hañonjonañe o fitoloña’eo, o fisaboa’ ondatio.
Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.
25 Hene nahaisake ondatio; talakesa’ ondaty an-tsietoitaneo
Every man may see it; man may behold [it] afar off.
26 Inao! jabahinake t’i Andrianañahare, tsy taka’ ty hilalan-tika; tsy hay volilieñe ty ia’ o tao’eo.
Behold, God [is] great, and we know [him] not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.
27 Aonjo’e o pilipiton-dranoo; ampanjaria’e orañe i evoñey;
For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:
28 Le ampikojojoahe’ o rahoñeo, hitsopatsopake, hañerek’ am’ondatio.
Which the clouds do drop [and] distil upon man abundantly.
29 Hete! Ia ty maharofoanañe ty fiboelea’ o rahoñeo? ty fangotroha’ i sokemitraha’ey?
Also can [any] understand the spreadings of the clouds, [or] the noise of his tabernacle?
30 Oniño te ampivarakaihe’e ama’e o fitsipela’eo vaho ampoa’e ty vaha’ i riakey.
Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.
31 Ie ro izaka’e ondatio; naho añeneña’e mahakama.
For by them judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in abundance.
32 Safora’e helatse o fità’eo, naho lilie’e hitomboke.
With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it [not to shine] by [the cloud] that cometh betwixt.
33 Mitalily aze i ampi’ey, amo añombeo t’ie ho avy.
The noise thereof sheweth concerning it, the cattle also concerning the vapour.
