< Joba 32 >

1 nAa le nijihetse tsy nanoiñe Iobe indaty telo rey, ie nivañoñe am-pihaino’e avao.
So had these three men abstained from answering Job; because he was righteous in his own eyes.
2 Niforoforo amy zao ty haboseha’ i Elihò ana’ i Barakele ana’ i Bozý nte-Rame; niforoforoe’e t’Iobe amy t’ie mañatò-vatañe añatrefan’ Añahare,
Thereupon was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he had declared himself more righteous than God.
3 nahabosek’ aze ka i rañe’ Iobe telo rey amy te tsy nahavale, fe ndra namatse Iobe.
And against his three friends was his wrath kindled; because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.
4 Ie amy zao, nandiñe ty hazoke’ iareoy t’i Eliho vaho nisaontsy am’Iobe.
Now Elihu had held back toward Job [his] words; because the others were older in days than he.
5 Aa ie nioni’ i Eliho te tsy aman-katoi’e ty falie’ indaty telo rey, le nifombo an-kaboseke.
But when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then was his wrath kindled.
6 Aa le nanoiñe ami’ty hoe t’i Eliho ana’ i Barakele ana’ i Bozý: Toe tora’e an-taoñe iraho, androanavy nahareo; le nihemban-draho tsy nahavany hitaroñe ty heveko.
And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite commenced, and said, Young am I in days, and ye are very old: therefore I hesitated and feared to show you what I know.
7 Hoe iraho: O androo ro hilañoñe, ty hamaro taoñe ro hañoke hihitse.
I had said, Days shall speak, and multitude of years shall make wisdom known.
8 Fe i arofo am’ondatioy, naho i kofòn’ El-Sadaiy ty manolo-kilala am’iareo.
But it is the spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty which giveth them understanding.
9 Tsy t’ie antetse ro mahihitse, tsy te zoke ro mahilala ty hatò.
Not those rich in years must be always wise: neither do the aged constantly understand what is just.
10 Aa le hoe iraho, Janjiño; hitaroñe o entakoo ka.
Therefore do I say, Hearken to me: I also will show forth what I know myself.
11 Ie zao, nahaliñe o asa’ areoo iraho, tsinanoko o niereñerea’ areoo, ie nitsikarahe’areo ty ho lañoneñe.
Behold, I waited for your words: I gave an attentive ear to your reasonings, till you might have searched out the [proper] words.
12 Toe nitsendreñe anahareo iraho, fe leo raike tsy nahafandietse Iobe, ndra raik’ ama’ areo tsy nahavale o enta’eo.
And now I understand you fully, and, behold, there is none that convinceth Job, or, that answereth his speeches among you.
13 Ko manao ty hoe: Nitendreke hihitse zahay; ho roahen’ Añahare, fa tsy ondaty.
Say then not, We have found wisdom: God will thrust him down, not man.
14 Tsy nalaha’e amako o saontsi’eo, vaho tsy o lañona’areoo ty hatoiko.
But he hath not directed any words against me: and with your speeches will I not answer him.
15 Angoae iereo, tsy mamale ka; nijiañe ty saontsi’ iareo.
They are dismayed, they answer no more: words have escaped away from them.
16 Aa handiñe avao hao iraho? ie nijohañe, tsy mahafanoiñe.
And should I wait [longer], because they cannot speak, because they stand stilt and answer no more?
17 Hivaleako ka ami’ty ahiko; hitaroñe ty heveko.
[But] I also will surely answer my part, I myself also will show forth what I know;
18 Toe lifo-bolan-draho; manjitse ahy ty trok’ amako atoa.
For I am full of words, the spirit in my bosom urgeth me hard.
19 Toe manahake ty divay tsy amam-pikofò’e ty troko, fa hiporitsake hoe zonjòn-divay vao.
Behold, my bosom is like [fresh] wine which hath not been opened: like new bottles it is ready to burst.
20 Adono hivolan-draho hanintsiñako; Apoho hanoka-tsoñy hitoiñako.
I will speak, that I may breathe freer: I will open my lips and answer.
21 Ehe te tsy eo ty ho rihieko, ndra t’indaty ho lombofeko.
On no account will I show undue favor to any man, and to no son of earth will I give flattering titles.
22 Tsy haiko ty mitsiriry fa ho nasintan’ Andrianamboatse aniany.
For I know not to give flattering titles; [for else] my Maker would speedily carry me away.
