< Jeremia 50 >
1 Ty entañe nitsarae’ Iehovà ty amy Bavele, tane’ o nte-Kasdioy, añam’ Iirmeà mpitoky.
The word that the LORD spoke against Babylon and against the land of the Chaldeans by Jeremiah the prophet.
2 Taroño amo kilakila’ ndatio, tseizo; añonjono vorovoro, koiho vaho ko ampikafireñe ty hoe: Tinavañe ty Bavele, salatse t’i Bele, lonjetse ty Merodake; songa nampisalareñe o saren-drahare’eo, dinemoke o hazomanga’eo.
Declare you among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces.
3 Amy te boak’ avaratse añe ty fifeheañe haname aze, ty hampangoakoake i tane’ey, ampara t’ie tsy amam-pimoneñe; fonga nañariok’ añe ndra ondaty ndra hare.
For out of the north there comes up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast.
4 Amy andro zay, naho amy sa zay, hoe t’Iehovà, le homb’ atoy o ana’ Israeleo, ie naho o ana’ Iehodao, hangololoike ty rovetse te mañavelo, vaho ho tsoehe’ iereo t’Iehovà Andrianañahare’ iareo.
In those days, and in that time, says the LORD, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the LORD their God.
5 Hañontanea’ iareo ty lalañe mb’e Tsione mb’eo, naho hampiatrefe’iareo laharañe; Homb’eo iereo hireketse am’ Iehovà ami’ty fañina tsy modo nainai’e, tsy ho haliño.
They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten.
6 Fa añondry motso ondatikoo; nampandrifihe’ o mpiara’ iareoo; nampidadà’ iereo amo haboañeo; nirererere am-bohitse pak’ an-kaboañe, nandikofa’ iareo ty fitofà’ iareo.
My people has been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their resting place.
7 Fonga nampibotseke iareo ze nifanendrek’ ama’e; le nanao ty hoe o malaiñ’ iareoo: Tsy aman-kakeo zahay; amy t’ie ro nandilatse am’ Iehovà, fimoneñan-kavantañañey, am’ Iehovà fitaman-droae’iareo.
All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the LORD, the habitation of justice, even the LORD, the hope of their fathers.
8 Miridriha boake Bavele ao, naho iakaro ty tane o nte-Kasdio, vaho itsikombeo ty oselahy miaolo’ i lia-rai’ey.
Remove out of the middle of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the flocks.
9 Inao! ho troboeko hionjoñe hiatrek’ i Bavele ty firimboñam-pifeheañe ra’elahy boak’ an-tane avaratse añe; miriritse ama’e iereo, le ho tavaneñe amy zao; hanahake o amy fanalolahy mahimbañeo o anam-pale’iareoo, tsy ama’e ty himpoly mañomaño;
For, see, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from there she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.
10 Ho kopaheñe t’i Kasdy; hahaeneñe ze hene mamaok’ ama’e; hoe t’Iehovà:
And Chaldea shall be a spoil: all that spoil her shall be satisfied, says the LORD.
11 Ty hafalea’areo, naho ty firebeha’areo: ry mpampikopake i lovakoio, ty fitrekoa’areo le hoe tamana añ’ahetse, vaho misehaseha hoe soavala mirefe;
Because you were glad, because you rejoiced, O you destroyers of my heritage, because you are grown fat as the heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls;
12 Hangirifiry ty fisalaran-drene’o, ho meñatse i nahatoly azoy; ho tsitso’ o fifeheañeo, fatram-bey, tane karakankaiñe vaho liolio.
Your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bore you shall be ashamed: behold, the last of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.
13 Ami’ty haviñera’ Iehovà le tsy himoneñañe, fa ho vata’e bangìñe; ho latsa iaby ze miary amy Bavele, hikosàke amo hekoheko’e iabio.
Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goes by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.
14 Ampiririto hialy amy Bavele añ’ariari’e eo ry mahatam-paleo, ahiririño, ko manisa ana-pale; amy te anaña’ Iehovà tahiñe.
Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about: all you that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she has sinned against the LORD.
15 Mirohafa añ’arikatoke aze, fa miambane re; mihotrake o faha’eo, rebake o kijoli’eo; izay ty fañondroha’ Iehovà, Mamalea fate! hambañe amy nanoe’ey ty hanoañe ama’e.
Shout against her round about: she has given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the LORD: take vengeance on her; as she has done, do to her.
16 Aitò amy Bavele ty mpandrarake, naho i mpita-meso am-pitatahañey, ie ihembaña’e ty fibaram-panindry, songa hitolike mb’am’ondati’eo, sindre handripake mb’an-tane’e mb’eo.
Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him that handles the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn every one to his people, and they shall flee every one to his own land.
17 Añondry miparaitake t’Israele, niroahe’ o lionao añe; Ty valoha’e nampibotsek’ aze, i mpanjaka’ i Asorey naho ami’ty figado’e toy t’i Nebokadnetsare mpanjaka’ i Bavele ro nampipekañe o taola’eo.
Israel is a scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: first the king of Assyria has devoured him; and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon has broken his bones.
18 Aa le hoe t’Iehovà’ i Màroy, t’i Andrianañahare’ Israele: Inao! ho liloveko ty mpanjaka’ i Bavele naho i tane’ey, manahake ty nandilovako i mpanjaka’ i Asorey.
Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.
19 Le hampoliko mb’am-piandraza’e mb’eo t’Israele, hihinañe e Karmele naho e Basane ao, vaho hahaeneñe ty tro’e ty an-kaboa’ i Efraime naho i Gilade.
And I will bring Israel again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied on mount Ephraim and Gilead.
20 Amy andro rezay naho amy sa zay, hoe t’Iehovà, ho kodebèñe ty hakeo’ Israele fe tsy ho eo, naho ty tahi’ Iehodà, fa tsy hahaoniñe; amy te ho hahàko ty hakeo’ o napoko ho sehanga’eo.
In those days, and in that time, says the LORD, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve.
21 Mionjona mb’an-tane’ Merataime, atreatréo, naho o mpimoneñe e Pekodeo, mongoro, vata’e rotsaho, hoe t’Iehovà, ano iaby o nandiliako azoo.
Go up against the land of Merathaim, even against it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod: waste and utterly destroy after them, says the LORD, and do according to all that I have commanded you.
22 Inao, ty hotakotak’ amy taney, naho ty fandrotsaham-bey.
A sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction.
23 Akore te finira naho pinozake ty ana-bato’ ty tane toy! Akore te nampangoakoaheñe añivo’ o fifeheañeo ty Bavele!
How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations!
24 Ie nandaharako fandrike, toe tsinepake ka, ry Bavele, fe tsy napota’o; nivazohoen-drehe vaho nitratse, amy te ihe nifangatotse am’ Iehovà.
I have laid a snare for you, and you are also taken, O Babylon, and you were not aware: you are found, and also caught, because you have striven against the LORD.
25 Fa sinoka’ Iehovà ty fañaja’e, vaho nakare’e o fialian-kaviñera’eo; ty fitoloñañe tsy mete tsy anoe’ i Talè, Iehovà, an-tane o nte-Kasdio.
The LORD has opened his armory, and has brought forth the weapons of his indignation: for this is the work of the Lord GOD of hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.
26 Itameo boak’an-tsietoitane añe, sokafo o riha’eo, atontono mañambone kivotre kivotre, vaho rotsaho; ko anisa’o ndra inoñe.
Come against her from the utmost border, open her storehouses: cast her up as heaps, and destroy her utterly: let nothing of her be left.
27 Fonga lentao o vosi’eo, ampizotsò mb’am-panjamanañe ao; feh’ ohatse ama’e! fa tondroke ty andro’ iareo, ty androm-pandilovañe.
Slay all her bullocks; let them go down to the slaughter: woe to them! for their day is come, the time of their visitation.
28 Inay! ty feom-pipiliotse naho o nandrifitse boak’an-tane Baveleo, hitsey e Tsione ao ty fañondroha’ Iehovà Andrianañaharentika, i vale-fate’e ty amy anjomba’eiy.
The voice of them that flee and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance of his temple.
29 Koiho hifanontone hiatreke i Bavele o mpitàm-paleo, o mampibitsoke fale iabio; mitobea añ’arikatoke aze; ko ado’ areo te ho eo ty hiborofotse; ondroho ty amo sata’eo, avaleo ama’e o fonga fitoloña’eo, fa nirengevohe’e t’Iehovà, i Masi’ Israeley.
Call together the archers against Babylon: all you that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she has done, do to her: for she has been proud against the LORD, against the Holy One of Israel.
30 Aa le hikorovok’ an-tameañe eo o ajalahi’eo, songa hampianjiñeñe amy andro zay o lahin-defo’eo, hoe t’Iehovà.
Therefore shall her young men fall in the streets, and all her men of war shall be cut off in that day, says the LORD.
31 Inao! miatre azo raho ty mpitoabotse tia, hoe t’i Talè, Iehovà’ i Màroy; fa tondroke ty andro’o, ty namotoañako handilo azo.
Behold, I am against you, O you most proud, says the Lord GOD of hosts: for your day is come, the time that I will visit you.
32 Hitsikapy naho hikorovoke i loho mpiroharohay, tsy ho amam-pañongake; le ho viañeko afo o rova’eo, vaho ho forototoe’e o faripari’e iabio.
And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all round about him.
33 Hoe t’Iehovà’ i Màroy, naharo forekekeñe o ana’ Israeleo naho o nte-Iehodao; fa tinambozò’ o nitsepak’ iareo, nifoneña’ iareo tsy hamotsots’ iareo.
Thus says the LORD of hosts; The children of Israel and the children of Judah were oppressed together: and all that took them captives held them fast; they refused to let them go.
34 Maozatse ty Mpijeba’ iareo, Iehovà’ i Màroy ty tahina’e, ho henefa’e ty fisalala’ iareo, hampitofa’e i taney, vaho ho troboe’e o mpimone’ i Baveleo.
Their Redeemer is strong; the LORD of hosts is his name: he shall thoroughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.
35 hoe t’Iehovà Hebae’ ty fibara o nte-Kasdio, naho o mpimone’ i Baveleo, naho o roandria’eo, vaho o mahihi’eo.
A sword is on the Chaldeans, says the LORD, and on the inhabitants of Babylon, and on her princes, and on her wise men.
36 Ohare’ ty fibara o mpandañitseo, hampidagolàñe iareo; Hebaem-bi-lava o fanalolahio, hampidemòhañe iareo.
A sword is on the liars; and they shall dote: a sword is on her mighty men; and they shall be dismayed.
37 Ho amo soavala’ iareoo ty fibara, naho amo sarete’eo, naho amo ambahiny iaby añivo’ iareoo, fa hanahake ty rakemba iereo; amo vara’eo ty meso-lava, vaho ho voloseñe.
A sword is on their horses, and on their chariots, and on all the mingled people that are in the middle of her; and they shall become as women: a sword is on her treasures; and they shall be robbed.
38 Hafaosa amo rano’eo, fa ho riteñe, amy t’ie tanen-tsamposampon-draha, vaho renge’ iareo o irevendreveña’ iareoo.
A drought is on her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it is the land of graven images, and they are mad on their idols.
39 Aa le hitrao-pitobok’ ao ty fosa naho ty farasy, hiantraño ao ka o voron-tsatrañeo; le tsy ho fimoneñañe kitro-katroke, tsy hañialoañe mb’an-tariratse an-tamingañe.
Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the islands shall dwell there, and the owls shall dwell therein: and it shall be no more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be dwelled in from generation to generation.
40 Ho hambañe amy nandrotsahan’ Añahare i Sedome naho i Amorà vaho o mañohoke iareoo, hoe t’Iehovà; tsy himoneña’ ondaty, tsy hañialoa’ ty ana’ ondaty.
As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbor cities thereof, says the LORD; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein.
41 Inao! hitotsake boak’ avaratse añe ondatio, fifeheañe jabajaba naho mpanjaka maro ty ho troboeñe boak’an-tsietoitane añe.
Behold, a people shall come from the north, and a great nation, and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
42 Vontitire’ iereo ty fale naho ty lefoñe, mpampisoañe tsy miferenaiñe; mitroñe hoe i riakey ty feo’ iareo, mijon-tsoavala; miriritse hoe ondaty hihotakotake, ama’o ry anak’ ampela’ i Bavele.
They shall hold the bow and the lance: they are cruel, and will not show mercy: their voice shall roar like the sea, and they shall ride on horses, every one put in array, like a man to the battle, against you, O daughter of Babylon.
43 Fa jinanji’ ty mpanjaka’ i Bavele ty talily iareo, vaho migebañe o fità’eo; namihiñ’aze ty halonjerañe, ty fanaintaiñan-ampela mitsongo.
The king of Babylon has heard the report of them, and his hands waxed feeble: anguish took hold of him, and pangs as of a woman in travail.
44 Inao! eo ty hionjoñe hoe liona boak’amo rongo-matahe’ Iordaneo mb’an-goloboñe mifahetse mb’eo; f’ie ho roaheko amy zao, vaho ho tendrèko hamehe aze ze joboñeko; fa ia ty rahambako? Ia ty hamotoañ’ andro ho ahy? Le ia ty mpiarake hahafiatrek’ ahiko?
Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan to the habitation of the strong: but I will make them suddenly run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?
45 Aa le mahajanjiña ty safiri’ Iehovà nisafirie’e i Bavele, naho ty ereñere niereñere’e i tane’ o nte-Kasdioy; toe ho kozozote’e mb’eo ndra ty kede amy lia-rai’ey, hampangoakoahe’e ty am’iereo i fiandraza’ iareoy.
Therefore hear you the counsel of the LORD, that he has taken against Babylon; and his purposes, that he has purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitation desolate with them.
46 Hampirihindrihie’ i Taney ty koike manao ty hoe: Fa rinambe ty Bavele; vaho ho janjiñeñe amo fifeheañeo ty fikoaihañe.
At the noise of the taking of Babylon the earth is moved, and the cry is heard among the nations.
