< Jeremia 44 >
1 Ty tsara niheo am’ Iirmeà ty amo nte-Iehodà iaby nañialo an-tane Mitsraimeo, o nimoneñe e Migdole naho e Takpanese naho e Nofe vaho an-tane’ i Patroseo, nanao ty hoe:
The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews who dwell in the land of Egypt, who dwell at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying,
2 Hoe t’Iehovà’ i Màroy, i Andrianañahare’ Israeley, Fa niisa’ areo i fonga hankàñe nafetsako am’ Ierosalaime naho amo hene rova’ Iehodao; le heheke t’ie mangoakoake henaneo naho tsy imoneña’ ondaty,
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Ye have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and behold, this day they [are] a desolation, and no man dwelleth in them.
3 ty amy halò-tsereke nanoe’ iereo hampibosek’ ahy, ie niheo mb’amo ndrahare ila’eo, nañenga naho nitoroñe iareo, o tsy nifohi’ iereoo; ie ndra nahareo, ndra o roae’ areoo;
Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, [and] to serve other gods, whom they knew not, [neither] they, ye, nor your fathers.
4 ndra te nampihitrifeko ama’ areo o mpitoky mpitoroko iabio nañampitso t’ie niraheñe ninday ty hoe: Ehe, ko anoe’ areo o raha tiva hejekoo.
Yet I sent to you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending [them], saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.
5 F’ie tsy nañaoñe, tsy nanokilan-dravembia, tsy nibalintoa amo hatsivokarañeo, hijihera’ iareo ty fañembohañe aman-drahare ila’e.
But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense to other gods.
6 Aa le nidoandoañe ty fiforoforoan-kabosehako, vaho namorototo an-drova’ Iehodà ao naho an-damo’ Ierosalaime ey, ampara’ t’ie nangoakoake naho kafoake, vaho ie henaneo.
Wherefore my fury and my anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted [and] desolate, as at this day.
7 Aa le hoe t’Iehovà, t’i Andrianañahare’ i màroy, t’i Andrianañahare’ Israele; Akore ty anoe’ areo ty haloloañe jabajaba zao hampiantoa’ areo fiaiñe hañitoa’ areo am’ Iehodà ze ondaty naho rakemba, ajaja naho anak’ ajaja minono, soa te leo raike tsy ho sisañe ama’ areo;
Therefore now thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; Why do ye commit [this] great evil against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and suckling, out of Judah, to leave you none to remain;
8 amy te sinigi’ areo iraho amo satam-pità’ areoo, ty fañenga’ areo aman-drahare ila’e an-tane Mitsraime ao, i nisesea’ areoy; soa t’ie haitoañe vaho ho fokom-patse naho titse amo kilakila’ ondati’ ty tane toio?
In that ye provoke me to wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye are gone to dwell, that ye may cut yourselves off, and that ye may be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?
9 Nihaliño’ areo hao ty fitoloñan-dratin-droae’ areo naho ty sata-rati’ o mpanjaka’ Iehodào naho ty sata-rati’ o vali’eo, naho ty sata-rati’ areo naho ty sata-ratin-tañanjomba’ areo, o nanoe’ iereo an-tane’ Iehodà ao naho an-dala’ Ierosalaimeo?
Have ye forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they have committed in the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?
10 Mboe tsy nireke pake henane, mbore tsy mañeveñe, tsy mañavelo an-Kàke ndra amo fañè najadoko aolo’ areo, añatrefan-droae’ areo.
They are not humbled [even] to this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.
11 Aa le hoe t’Iehovà’ i Màroy, t’i Andrianañahare’ Israele; Inao te hatreatrèko ama’ areo ty tareheko ho ami’ty hankàñe, le fonga haitoako t’Iehodà;
Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, and to cut off all Judah.
12 naho haitoako ty sehanga’ Iehodà niatre-daharañe mbe Mitsraime mb’etoy hitaveañe, naho songa ho mongoreñe, toe hikoromak’ an-tane Mitsraime atoa nahareo, ho zevoñem-pibara naho ty hasalikoañe, fonga hivetrake, ty kede naho ty bey, ami’ty mesolava naho ty kerè; le ho fatse, naho fampangebahebahañe naho fanirañe vaho fañinjeañe.
And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed, [and] fall in the land of Egypt; they shall [even] be consumed by the sword [and] by the famine: they shall die, from the least even to the greatest, by the sword and by the famine: and they shall be an execration, [and] an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.
13 Amy te ho liloveko o mañialo an-tane Mitsraimeo, manahake ty nandilovako Ierosalaime, ami’ty fibara naho ty kerè vaho ty angorosy,
For I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:
14 leo raike tsy hipotatsake ndra hahatambeloñe amo sehanga’ Iehodà nitaveañe mb’ an-tane Mitsraime hañialo añeo vaho himpoly mb’an-tane’ Iehodà añe, mb’amy fañiria’ iareoy; amy te tsy eo ty himpoly añe naho tsy o tsy ampe mahapolititseo avao.
So that none of the remnant of Judah, who have gone into the land of Egypt, to sojourn there, shall escape or remain, that they should return into the land of Judah, to which they have a desire to return to dwell there: for none shall return but such as shall escape.
15 Aa le nanoiñe am’ Iirmeà ondaty nahafohiñe te nañenga amo ‘ndrahare ila’eo o vali’eoo naho o rakemba nizorazora eio naho i valobohòkey vaho ze hene ondaty nimoneñe an-tane Mitsraime e Patrose ao, ami’ty hoe,
Then all the men who knew that their wives had burned incense to other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,
16 I tsara nisaontsie’o ama’ay ami’ty tahina’ Iehovày: Tsy hañaoñe azo zahay.
[As for] the word that thou hast spoken to us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken to thee.
17 Fa tsy mete tsy hanoe’ay ze fonga enta’ nakare’ o vava’aio, ty hañemboke amy mpanjaka-ampelan-dikerañey, naho ty hampidoañañe enga-rano, fa izay ty sata’ay, zahay naho o roae’aio, o mpanjaka’aio, o roandria’aio an-tane’ Iehodà naho an-dala’ Ierosalaime ao; amy t’ie nienen-kaneñe henane zay, vaho nijangañe, vaho tsy nizo hankàñe.
But we will certainly do whatever thing proceedeth from our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink-offerings to her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for [then] we had plenty of provisions, and were well, and saw no evil.
18 Fe mifototse ami’ty nampipoha’ay ty fañengañe amy mpanjaka ampelan-dikerañey, naho ty fampidoaña’ay enga rano, le nipo-vara, vaho nizamanem-pibara naho ty kerè.
But since we ceased to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink-offerings to her, we have wanted all [things], and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.
19 Aa vaho zahay avao hao ty mañenga amy mpanjakan-dikerañey naho mañiliñe enga-rano ama’e? Mamboatse mofomamy ami’ty vinta’e naho mampidoañe engan-drano ama’e hao zahay naho tsy eo valy?
And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink-offerings to her, did we make for her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink-offerings to her, without our men?
20 Aa le hoe t’Iirmeà am’ondaty iabio, amo lahilahio naho amo rakembao naho amy ze fonga ondaty nanoiñe aze amy hoe zay:
Then Jeremiah said to all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people who had given him [that] answer, saying,
21 O tsotse nañemboha’ areo an-drova’ Iehodà naho an-dala’ Ierosalaimeo, inahareo naho o rae’ areoo naho o mpanjaka’ areoo naho o roandria’ areoo naho ondati’ i taneio; tsy niarofoana’ Iehovà hao, tsy nizilik’ am-pitsakorea’e ao hao?
The incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye and your fathers, your kings and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and came it [not] into his mind?
22 Ampara te tsy nileo’ Iehovà o sata-rati’ areoo, naho o raha tiva nanoe’ areoo; toly ndra ninjare kòake ty tane’ areo, toe halatsañe, vaho fatse, tsy amam-pimoneñe pake henaneo.
So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, [and] because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.
23 I fañenga’ areo irezay, o hakeo’ areo am’ Iehovào, t’ie tsy nañaoñe ty fiarañanaña’ Iehovà, te tsy nañavelo an-Kàke, ndra amo fañè’eo, ndra amo fitaroña’eo: ie ty nifetsaha’ o hekoheko zao ama’ areo henaneo.
Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil hath happened to you, as at this day.
24 Tinovo’ Iirmeà ty hoe am’ ondaty iabio, naho amo rakemba iabio: Janjiño ty tsara’ Iehovà, ry hene Iehodà an-tane’ Mitsraime atoio:
Moreover, Jeremiah said to all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of the LORD, all Judah that [are] in the land of Egypt:
25 Hoe t’Iehovà’ i Màroy, t’i Andrianañahare’ Israele: Fonga nisaontsy am-palie nahareo naho o tañanjomba’ areoo vaho nihenefem-pità’ areo ami’ty hoe, Toe hanoe’ay o fanta nititihe’aio naho hañenga amy mpanjaka-ampelan-dikerañey, naho hañily enga rano ama’e; Toe hajado’ areo o nifantà’ areoo vaho ho henefe’ areo o fititiha’ areoo.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink-offerings to her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.
26 Ehe tsendreño ty tsara’ Iehovà, ry Iehodà mpañialo e Mitsraime atoañ’ iabio; Ingo fa nifanta amy añarako ra’elahiy iraho, hoe t’Iehovà, te le lia’e tsy ho toñoneñe am-palie’ ondaty nte-Iehodà an-tane Mitsraime atoao ty añarako ami’ty hoe, Kanao veloñe t’i Talè Iehovà.
Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.
27 Inao! haratiañe ty añambenako iareo, fa tsy fañasoàñe; vaho fonga ho mongore’ ty fibara naho ty hasalikoañe ze lahilahi’ Iehodà an-tane’ Mitsraime atoy, ampara’ te tsy aman-tsehanga’e.
Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that [are] in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there shall be an end of them.
28 Fe hipolititse amy fibaray ty honka’e tsy ampe boak’an-tane Mitsraime atoa homb’an-tane’ Iehodà mb’eo, soa te ho fohi’ i hengaha’ Iehodà nivotrak’ an-tane Mitsraime hañialoa’ey, te, ty tsara’ ia ty ho to, ke ty ahy he ty a iareo?
Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return from the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that have gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or theirs.
29 Le inao, ty viloñe ama’ areo, hoe t’Iehovà, te toe hitilihako an-toetse atoy, hahafohina’ areo te vata’e hijadoñe ama’ areo ho ami’ty hankàñe o entakoo:
And this [shall be] a sign to you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:
30 fa hoe ty nafè’ Iehovà: Ingo te hatoloko am-pità’ o rafelahi’eo naho am-pità’ o mipay ty fiai’eo t’i Parò-Kofrà mpanjaka’ i Mitsraime, hambañ’ amy nanolorako i Tsidkia, mpanjaka’ Iehodà, am-pita’ i Nebokadnetsare mpanjaka’ i Bavele, rafalahi’e nipay t’y fiai’e.
Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give Pharaoh-hophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seek his life; as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, his enemy, and that sought his life.
