< Jeremia 25 >

1 Ty tsara nimb’ am’ Iirmeà ty amo hene ondati’ Iehodào amy taom-paha’ efa’ Iehoiakime ana’ Iosia, mpanjaka’ Iehodà, ty taom-baloha’ i Nebokadnetsare mpanjaka’ i Bavele;
The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah (this was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon),
2 vaho nitseize’ Iirmeà mpitoky amy ze fonga ondati’ Iehoda naho amy ze hene mpimone’ Ierosalaime, ty hoe:
which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem:
3 Sikal’ amy taom-paha folo-telo-ambi’ Iosia, ana’ i Amone, mpanjaka’ Iehodày, ampara’ ty andro toy, i taoñe roapolo telo amby rezay, le niheo amako ty tsara’ Iehovà, naho nitaroñeko ama’ areo, eka boak’ andro naho beteke te nitaroñe, f’ie tsy nañaoñe.
From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, these twenty-three years, the LORD’s word has come to me, and I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking; but you have not listened.
4 Toe nafanto’ Iehovà ama’ areo i mpitoky mpitoro’e iaby rezay, nañampitso te niraheñe—f’ie nihiritsiritse avao, tsy nanokilan-dravembia hijanjiñe—
The LORD has sent to you all his servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them (but you have not listened or inclined your ear to hear),
5 nanao ty hoe: Songa mimpolia, boak’ ami’ty fitsilea’e raty, naho ami’ty haratia’ o sata’eo, vaho imoneño i tane natolo’ Iehovà anahareo naho aman-droae’ areo, ho nainai’e tsy modo,
saying, “Return now everyone from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD has given to you and to your fathers, from of old and even forever more.
6 le ko mañean-drahare ila’e hitoroñañe naho hitalahoañe, le ko mampibosek’ ahy amo satam-pità’ areoo, vaho tsy ho lafaeko.
Don’t go after other gods to serve them or worship them, and don’t provoke me to anger with the work of your hands; then I will do you no harm.”
7 F’ie tsy nañaoñ’ ahy, hoe t’Iehovà; te mone nampiforoforo ahy amo satam-pità’ areoo ho ami’ty fiantoañe.
“Yet you have not listened to me,” says the LORD, “that you may provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own hurt.”
8 Aa le hoe t’Iehovà’ i Màroy: Amy te tsy midare o volakoo nahareo,
Therefore the LORD of Armies says: “Because you have not heard my words,
9 le inao te hampañitrifako ze hene fifokoañe avaratse añe naho i Nebokadnetsare mpanjaka’ i Bavele, mpitorokoy vaho hendeseko hiatreatre ty toetse toy naho o mpimoneñe ama’e ao naho o fifeheañe mañohok’ azeo, le hampangoikoihañe ho halatsàñe naho fikosasahañe vaho ho kòake nainai’e.
behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,” says the LORD, “and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations around. I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.
10 Mbore hajiko tsy ho am’ iereo ty feon-kafaleañe naho ty feom-pirebehañe, ty feom-pañenga-valy naho ty feon-enga-vao, ty feom-batom-pandisañe, naho ty hazavàm-paìlo.
Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.
11 Ho koake iaby i taney, naho ho halatsàñe vaho hitoroñe ty mpanjaka’ i Bavele fitompolo taoñe o fifeheañe retoa.
This whole land will be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
12 Ie heneke i taoñe fitompolo rezay, le ho liloveko ty mpanjaka’ i Bavele, naho i fifehea’ey, naho ty tane’ o nte-Kasdio hoe t’Iehovà ty amy hakeo’ iareo; vaho hanoeko fangoakoahañe kitro katroke.
“It will happen, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation,” says the LORD, “for their iniquity. I will make the land of the Chaldeans desolate forever.
13 Le hafetsako amy taney ze hene volañe tsineiko ama’e, ze sinokitse ami’ty boke toy, ze nitokia’ Iirmeà amo fifeheañe iabio.
I will bring on that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations.
14 Fifeheañe maro naho mpanjaka foloay ro hañondevo iareo; vaho havaleko am’iereo o sata’ iareoo naho ty fitoloñam-pità’ iareo.
For many nations and great kings will make bondservants of them, even of them. I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands.”
15 Hoe t’Iehovà Andrianañahare’ Israele, amako; Rambeso an-tañako ty fitovin-divaim-pifomboko toy, vaho ampinomo ze hene fifeheañe añirahako azo.
For the LORD, the God of Israel, says to me: “Take this cup of the wine of wrath from my hand, and cause all the nations to whom I send you to drink it.
16 Le hikama iereo vaho hivembèñe mb’atia mb’etia, hoe dagola, ty amy fibara hahitriko am’iereoy.
They will drink, and reel back and forth, and be insane, because of the sword that I will send amongst them.”
17 Aa le rinambeko am-pità’ Iehovà i fitoviy vaho songa nampikamaeko o fifeheañe nañiraha’ Iehovà ahio:
Then I took the cup at the LORD’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, to whom the LORD had sent me:
18 Ierosalaime naho o rova’ Iehodào naho o mpanjaka’eo naho o roandria’eo, hanoeñe fianto, halatsàñe, fikosihañe, vaho fatse; le fa ie henaneo;
Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, with its kings and its princes, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is today;
19 i Parò mpanjaka’ i Mitsraime, naho o mpitoro’eo naho o roandria’eo, vaho ze hene ondati’e;
Pharaoh king of Egypt, with his servants, his princes, and all his people;
20 naho ondaty mifamorohotse iabio; o mpanjaka’ i Oze iabio, naho o mpanjaka’ ty tane’ o nte-Pilistìo iabio, naho i Askelone, i Azà, i Ekrone, naho ty sehanga’ i Asdode;
and all the mixed people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, all the kings of the Philistines, Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;
21 i Edome naho i Moabe vaho o ana’ i Amoneo;
Edom, Moab, and the children of Ammon;
22 o mpanjaka’ i Tsore iabio naho o mpanjaka’ i Tsidone iabio, naho ze hene mpanjaka’ o tokonose alafe’ i riakeio;
and all the kings of Tyre, all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;
23 i Dedane naho i Temà naho i Boze, naho o mañitsike ty olo-maroi’e iabio;
Dedan, Tema, Buz, and all who have the corners of their beard cut off;
24 o mpanjaka’ i Arabe iabio vaho o mpanjaka o fikokoa-mitraok’ an-dratraratra añe iabio;
and all the kings of Arabia, all the kings of the mixed people who dwell in the wilderness;
25 o mpanjaka’ i Zimry iabio, o mpanjaka’ i Elame iabio naho o mpanjaka’ o nte-Maday iabioo;
and all the kings of Zimri, all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;
26 o mpanjaka avaratse añe iabio, ty marine naho ty lavitse, ty raike mitraok’ ami’ty ila’e; vaho ze kila fifehea’ ty tane toy ambone’ tane atoy; le handimbe finomañe am’ iereo ty mpanjaka’ i Sesake.
and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are on the surface of the earth. The king of Sheshach will drink after them.
27 Le hoe ty ho tseize’o am’ iereo: Hoe t’Iehovà’ i Màroy, i Andrianañahare’ Israeley: Minoma naho mimamoa naho mandoà vaho mikorovoha, amy t’ie tsy hiongake ka ty amy fibara’ hahitriko ama’ areoy.
“You shall tell them, ‘The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel says: “Drink, and be drunk, vomit, fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send amongst you.”’
28 Ie amy zao, naho ifoneña’ iareo tsy handrambe i fitoviy am-pità’o hinoma’e, le hoe ty hanoe’o am’ iereo: Hoe t’Iehovà’ i Màroy: Toe hikama’ areo.
It shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at your hand to drink, then you shall tell them, ‘The LORD of Armies says: “You shall surely drink.
29 Heheke te mamototse minday hankàñe ami’ ty rova tokaveñe ami’ty añarako toy iraho, Hapoke tsy ho liloveñe ka hao nahareo? Toe tsy ho hahàñe amy fandilovañey; amy te ho tokaveko fibara ze kila mpimone’ ty tane toy, hoe t’Iehovà’ i Màroy.
For, behold, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should you be utterly unpunished? You will not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth, says the LORD of Armies.”’
30 Aa le itokio o entañe iaby zao, vaho ano ty hoe: Hirohake boak’andikerañe añe t’Iehovà, naho hipoña-piarañanañañe boak’ añ’ akiba’e miavake ao; hitroña’e i lia-rai’ey; hipazake manahake o mpandia valobokeo amo kila mpimone’ ty tane toio;
“Therefore prophesy against them all these words, and tell them, “‘The LORD will roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation. He will mightily roar against his fold. He will give a shout, as those who tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.
31 Inay ty pazake pak’añ’olo’ ty tane toy, fa manan-kabò amo kilakila’ ndatio t’Iehovà, fonga ho zakae’e ze atao nofotse; ty amo lo-tserekeo, fa nitolora’e ami’ty fibara, hoe t’Iehovà.
A noise will come even to the end of the earth; for the LORD has a controversy with the nations. He will enter into judgement with all flesh. As for the wicked, he will give them to the sword,”’ says the LORD.”
32 Hoe t’Iehovà’ i Màroy, Hehe te mionjoñe boak’ am-pifeheañe pak’am-pifeheañe añe o haratiañeo, vaho tio-baratse jabajaba ty honjoneñe boak’ an-tsietoitane’ an-tane atoy añe.
The LORD of Armies says, “Behold, evil will go out from nation to nation, and a great storm will be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth.”
33 Hirik’añ’olo’ty tane toy pak’ añ’ila’ ty tane toy añe o ho zamane’ Iehovào amy andro zay; tsy hirovetañe, tsy hambineñe, tsy haleveñe; fa ho forompotse ambone’ tane eo.
The slain of the LORD will be at that day from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They won’t be lamented. They won’t be gathered or buried. They will be dung on the surface of the ground.
34 Mangolalaiha ry mpiarakeo, naho mangololoiha, vaho milomoloaña an-davenok’ ao, ry lohà’ i mpirai-liay fa tondroke ty androm-pandentañe naho fampiparatsiahañe anahareo, ie hivolentsa manahake ty sini-hara.
Wail, you shepherds, and cry. Wallow in dust, you leader of the flock; for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions have fully come, and you will fall like fine pottery.
35 Ho po-pivoratsahañe o mpiarakeo, tsy eo ty hipitsiha’ o mpiaolo’ i lia-raikeio!
The shepherds will have no way to flee. The leader of the flock will have no escape.
36 Inay ty fikoikoiha’ o mpiarakeo, naho ty fangololoiha’ o mpiaolo’ i lia-raikeio! fa nihotomomohe’ Iehovà ty fiandraza’ iareo.
A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and the wailing of the leader of the flock, for the LORD destroys their pasture.
37 Le hampitsiñeñe o goloboñe nipendreñeo, ty amy haviñera’ Iehovày.
The peaceful folds are brought to silence because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
38 Niavote’e manahake ty liona i fipalira’ey; fa kòake ty tane’ iareo ty amy hasiaha’ i fibara nampisoañey, naho ty amy fiforoforoan-kaviñera’ey.
He has left his covert, as the lion; for their land has become an astonishment because of the fierceness of the oppression, and because of his fierce anger.
